You’re brave! I would have been apprehensive about roasting that Malabar with the other 3 South American and Central American beans. Just because of the elevation and density. Roast the 3 together and Malabar separately, then blend. But kudos to ya for being a coffee rebel. I like it! 😎
Nice video. Im considering upgrading to this roaster. I really like the Nesco however there is not much control as far as temp and fan settings goes. It's pretty much an air popper popcorn machine with 2 pre programmed settings for dark or medium roast. How are you liking the SR800? Would you recommend it? Thanks a lot.

Is this machine good for dark roasts too?
Sure, just takes a minute longer to roast

Honestly I love it. Lots of control and decent batch size (8oz). Based on my consumption, I roast a batch every 4 days and works perfectly.
I should have also mentioned the cooling feature, very“cool”, pun intended.
@@coffeeauthority alright you've convinced me. Now to save up my pennies. 😉
There are cheaper models than mine, but if you are going to make the switch might as well go all in so no regrets later on.
Are beans oily ?
No, not at all
