I'm here basically because I got a free Ableton Live 11 license with my recent purchase of a used Arturia Minilab MkII. It seems to interface better with Ableton (as do most other MIDI controllers I am aware of) than FL Studio. I've been FL user for years, without gaining much proficiency. I'm here to learn of Live's workflow is as legendary and easy as everyone claims it is. Thanks for doing these videos Ski. I'm sure I will lose my way following you, while also trying to keep up with you.
I bought Focusrite 2i2 3 gen and installed Ableton, I never thought this will be very difficult to be familiar with the software so started searching UA-cam, there are tons of videos also in my native language but all are useless except your video, I claim that yours is the best and best sir, many thanks for the video.
No, it doesn't launch the demo set. Would love to just see one video that shows 1. selecting a drum track and recording drum track. 2 play the drum track while recording a bass track. 3. play those two tracks while recording guitar. 4. and so on. Haven't found one video that can just show the basics
Assume you figured out the basics? I've found I like watching people make music better than trying to do it myself...hehe. it really is fairly easy to lay down the basics in Ableton, once you get used to the difference between session view and arrangement view. By the way, mine doesn't play a demo either.
Video is called "How to make a track" and half of it is installing/authenticating the software and the other half has about 10 seconds of useful information that still doesn't justify the title. Way too much waffle, misleading title.

There is no "Live" to click on left of "File Edit Create". Already hit a dead end
Click Options, Preferences is at the bottom.
And next week people, stay tuned for my you tube video. How to throw Ableton in the freakin trash can and get something that works!!!!!
I was just getting into ableton because I’m so sick of all of the bugs in logic.. am I making a mistake?

It's the intro video of an eight-part series, and the content is labeled so you can easily skip the parts you don't need... not really a big deal.
