Or a baby. Lol I was born in the 70's which was the last of the good times but I've always thought it would have been great to have been born in the 40's so I could have grown up in the 50's and 60's. The world was a much better place then.
It wasn’t better, folks. Read a book called The Girls Who Went Away. That was real life. A lot of girls got pregnant because they had no access to birth control and their parents didn’t tell them anything. Then the parents were so mortified they forced them to hide the pregnancy and give the baby to the church for adoption. The girls were traumatized for the rest of their lives. This is a sitcom.
I definitely agree with you on that. To be honest, I sort of feel out of place when reading the comments because I just found out about this series a month ago. If only I knew of Patty Duke way back then, I would’ve wanted to meet her.
Sidewinders React I think I heard of that before, about Patty Duke being in an Amityville movie. Ever since becoming a fan of Patty, I decided to look up some of her other works.

16 is not too young to go steady. They seem to be brainwashing even back then in Hollywood that love and marriage is bad and casual sex and multiple partners is good. It's so bad now it's not even funny. Polyamory is everywhere. Disgrace. And it all started, I believe, from TV and media and music. There just isn't God anymore.
Yup, look what it did to Patty Duke's personal life, it was a train wreck. There's no guidance in her life, no parents. You're absolutely right about hollyweird pushing this deg...eneracy, look "friends" tv show. It has all it all except comedy!
You idiot. The parents didn’t want the kids to be thinking about marriage, they just wanted them to have friends. In that era, kids went out on dates much more than now and they asked different people every weekend. To go have a soda. They weren’t having sex with everyone. When they got a steady boyfriend or girlfriend then a lot of them WERE having sex. Without birth control.
The only person who is brainwashed here is you. We never had to deal with mentally Ill young people whining that there was no God anymore and that everyone and everything else, music, TV, etc was the Devil. Jesus. What the F has happened to people?
I can't believe that women is gone . RIP patty.
I like when Mr. Lane says, "Hidee hi Richard".
Richard acts like a special ed student
Being beautiful is a must for being the mother of the fiercest hobbit
Great TV show !!
This episode is reminiscent of season 3, episode 4 *The Guest* season 1 episode 4 *The House Guest* .
Eddie Applegate 1935-2016, Patty Duke 1946-2016, William Shallert 1922-2016

14:50 That was the tune to When Love Has Gone, isn’t it? That song they “wrote” in an earlier episode?
Thanks. I really did like that song, and the tune is always stuck in my head.

Sidewinders React Haha, alright then.
remember wearing a boys ring, a few weeks later you broke up and another girl was dating your old flame and you had a new love.good times.
Patty and Richard
It would be so hard to pick which one to go out with: Patty or Cathy.
Richard is 30 years old. He should be with someone his own age.
That's David Doyle!
I thought Patty and Richard were already going steady. Didn’t he give her his pin?
yea, he did... on the first episode

David Doyle was great as Richard's father.
