Jean Byron was in an early episode of Maude. She played the role of a woman applying to be Maude's new housekeeper to replace Florida Evans, who wanted to retire and take care of her own family.
@1:08...the problem here is that, like any other household, everybody eats pretty much the same thing when they sit down at the breakfast table. My mother would never have been a _short order cook_ like "Natalie Lane". No wonder "Natalie" felt like a piece of furniture.
@@rhondabitler2461 ln the Season 3 episode of *PATTY AND THE GREAT OUTDOORS* , the family sits down to the same breakfast where everyone eats the same dishes.
We always all ate the same breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I think if I had asked for a special meal, my mom might have taken my regular meal away to teach me a lesson. LOL
Love this show. I just don't like that they are taking advantage of Natalie. They expect her to do everything. They have to realize that she has a mind of her own and she needs to tell them. It's time for them to wait on her. I wish they would stop telling her to get them everything they need. She is only human. Go on strike Natalie. Let them do their own chores. Get there own stuff.
I agree. I love The Patty Duke Show, but this episode made me mad because I can relate to Natalie. I’m not married or have children, but sometimes I feel that people take me for granted quite a bit because I have always gone out of my way for people.
Jean Byron played this role so well
Indeed she did...an underrated actress.
Jean Byron was a fabulous actress and a wonderful person. Women like her made America a great Country thru the years. RIP

My mother wouldn't do that either. Natalie is doing it or there would be no script.

this patti watching patty duke
Every single family sitcom back then had an episode like this about overworked and under appreciated housewives
why did they let go of the housekeeper from the Cousins episode? The Lanes were wealthy.
Oh yeah, that's right, Mrs McDonald the house keeper
You are smarter than the writers!
The last episode I watched the housekeeper was the Wicked Witch of the West…
Couldn't they have gotten that kid a pair of glasses that fit?? They're always sitting halfway up the side of his head.
It's interesting that when Patty Duke lowers her voice, she sounds a lot like Cathy. I suppose modulation of your voice makes a big difference.
"Our Patty likes to rock-n-roll, a hot dog makes her loose control .... "
I can't get this out of my head... what does it even mean???
The Hot Dog was a dance
Hot Dog means Cock, she couldn't get enough Cock🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@wandajames6234 They werent talking about the dance, though.
It contrasts the way Patty and Cathy grew up - cosmopolitan versus American.
Daaang let their butts get there own food
Doris singleton on the radio, shes got some nerve telling people how to run their lives.....lol she bombed out on Hazel, the Matchmaker
After advice #1, l would have shunned Joan's counsel; especially since she insisted it would work.
hiliarous
The mom needed a gay guy friend to spend time with. We could have went out clubbing at some underground gay nightclub in the Village.
😠
True. And her makeover would have been better
