Yeah we weren't huge fans of the section of seemingly endless stairs, but after the stair portion, we really enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone (who can climb 500 stairs)!
Wow...that's a lot of stairs but the views do make up for it. You right the second viewpoint over chimney rock was better. My favorite was the waterfall...always love the waterfalls 😁💖
I am always a fan of waterfalls to. There was another trail that we didn't have time to take, it goes to the base of the waterfall. I would love to go back and see that view some day. Thanks so much for watching :)

Yes, our legs were tired 😆 I also enjoyed how shaded it was. I (Jamie) and quite fair skinned and always have to wear sunscreen! Thanks for watching :)
I agree with you guys - the view from the exclamation point is better !! Worth the effort of the 500 plus stairs !! Looking forward for more hiking adventures 👍
Yeah we loved the Exclamation Point and also Peregrine Point views, plus they were much less crowded. Those views made it worth climbing all of those stairs!
That's a very long stairs, but the view though! worth the hike. we may need to wait till our little one got older everytime thinking our long hiking. awesome vlog guys!
Yeah 500+ stairs was A LOT of stairs with just our backpacks, couldn't imagine also carrying a child! We agree that it was definitely worth the effort though. Hope you get a chance to try it someday!

We agree! We didn't talk about it in the video, BUT you can actually take an elevator up to Chimney Rock and skip most of the stairs, but that wouldn't have been as exciting in the video LOL Thanks for watching, we hope you have a great week!
That's so many stairs!! Did you count them all to know how many you climbed that day? The view of the chimney rock was much better from above. Loved all the view points there and the scenery was lovely. Impressive that you did the fallen tree... I probably would have fallen in the water 🤣
😆 we did not, somewhere we read there were over 500! I'd say this state park really surprised us, I didn't realize how many trails there were. Thanks so much for watching! Oh and about that tree, the water was very shallow, so I was ok taking the risk LOL
Wow those views was so amazing. I'm guessing on the last two legs you didn't see many people because they was exhausted from all 500+ steps. But I bet it was super amazing walking among the fall tree's and cooler weather.

It sure was a LOT of stairs, but 100% worth the effort. Once you get through the stairs, its pretty easy hiking from there. We definitely recommend it to anyone who can climb 500+ stairs!
That seemed like a lot of stairs, like a lot haha but the mountain view was definitely worth it. Seemed like a well made trail for a forest hike to the waterfall. Really felt like I was hiking with you with all the walking footage :)
Yes soooo many stairs! But the trail really was extremely well maintained and relatively easy to hike considering the elevation gain. The views and waterfall definitely made it worth the effort!

Awesome video - thanks! I've climbed Chimney Rock before but this route is new to me. How long (distance) was it start to finish and how much time did it take? I am thinking of doing it this week but need to know how much time to allow.
Glad to hear you have been before! The time frame really depends on one's pace, while we kept a fast pace, we also spent a lot of time taking pics and video. The guide map recommends allowing up to 25 minutes for the Outcroppings Trail (the 500+ stairs to Chimney Rock), then 20 minutes to get to Exclamation Point. That is where the Skyline Trail begins to hike to the point above the waterfall it recommends allowing up to 2.5 hours round trip for that one. chimneyrockpark.com has more details of each trail to help with planning as well :)

Yeah it was really cool how the stairs weaved through the mountain. It made climbing 500+ stairs about as enjoyable as it could be 😂
