Thanks for so much drone footage - the soaring views of the mountains and streams are breathtaking and very soothing. Now it breaks my heart a little to know that many of these places have been greatly changed forever by the rains and winds of Hurricane Helene.
We also hiked that entire trail. BEAUTIFUL!! Loved, Loved the hike and the movie!!! We will watch it tonight. We were fortunate and was able to hike past Groundhog Slide. Beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing these beautiful drone shots.
Amazing video, thank you for all those gorgeous scenic locations and finding those cool spots on the movie. I love Last of the Mohicans, one of my favorite movies to watch. Going under that waterfall must have been soo cool like they did towards the end of the movie in the chase scene. Such a beautiful place to visit. Thank you very much for making that video.
I live in Fairview, NC, about midway between Biltmore Estate (where many of the film's early scenes were filmed) and Chimney Rock State Park. I have yet to make it to many of the other places you visited. But I plan to.
Thank both of you for sharing your trip. Very beautiful. I'm planning to go visit there. Only on a motorcycle. Hope you both had a very wonderful anniversary. Thank yawl for sharing it. I'm assuming you had a drone with you at the falls. Awesome!
Great video, Kelsey! I am a huge fan of LOTM. Last summer my wife and I visited Biltmore. We photographed and drove across the bridge, and the place where Cora and Heyward are reunited. This week we are visiting Chimney Rock state park, and w are going to see the locations you filmed here. Is that your camper trailer you stayed in, or was that rental?
Thank you! We had a blast visiting as much as we could in our short time. We wanted to visit Biltmore, but just didnt have time. Maybe on another trip! The camper is ours. Its a Palomino Stampede S238 Hybrid. We love it!
@@123G-r4d the final scene of the movie was filmed at The Chimneys, which is at Table Rock Mountain. The scene at the top of Hickory Nut Falls is where Maugua is killed.
The Huron village may still be there. My brother, myself and best friend found it when we were teens 1997. There was a gem mine/pan for gold place in the little city and you hiked straight up from there. There is also an Indian burial ground there too.
Thats awesome that you got to see it. We really wanted to. When we were doing our research, we read that the Huron village is still there, and you can see it from a distance at a look out point when the trees are not full of leaves. We werent able to see it. It is no longer accessible to the public, and I think I remember reading that its no longer maintained as well. It was never actually demolished, but if any of it still exists, it is probably being overrun by nature.
My wife and I went to the site of the Huron village in the late 90s as well. There was a dirt road that led up to it but a locked gate prevented cars from going up there. We hiked up to it and it was amazing to see.
I grew up in Bat Cave near Chimney Rock and know the area well. We used to go up to the area where the Huron Village was at and do a lot of camping and exploring. There used to be an amusement park there called Silver Dollar City (?) back in the 60s. It closed down sometime in the 70s. If the village is still there it's covered in kudzu!
Thanks for sharing guys. This is my favourite film and my dream is to do this trail someday!
Excellent video, brought back a lot of family memories. That soundtrack has been one of the soundtracks of our lives. Good work, thank you.
Wow stunning
Very beautiful, very well done! Thanks for sharing your adventure!
Amazing. Thanks so much. One of my favorite movies.

Wow. Endless mountains
Gracias por este maravilloso video 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Cool !!! I wish you showed the big waterfall. You found the Island on the lake with the canon light behind in the film
Which water fall are you referring to? I think we visited all the water falls used in the movie that are accessible to the public.
Friends! There is plenty of info in the description. Do not miss it. Hope I can come over to the states one day and visit this place.
Great adventure! Nice use of the drone camera. Thank you.
