I think the concept is fantastic and will make a great display piece and conversation starter but I'm disappointed that the original LEGO ideas concept has been dumbed down. It's much smaller than the original concept design and less intricate. I can see why LEGO have done this as it will be much simpler to build and appeal to a wider audience. It will also be cheaper but at $70 it's still quite expensive given the lack of detail in the ship. With all that being said, I will still be buying it on February 1st and a full review will follow!
Also, it may seem like a good price per part ratio but keep in mind 280 (more than a quarter) of the 962 pieces are loose transparent blue studs that get poured loose in the bottle.
