- These commercials aired on NBC in November of 1984. There is occasional loud static during the first part of this video and there wasn't much I could do to fix it.
1. Pillsbury's Best Sweet Rolls (Commercials starting here aired on 11/4/84)
2. Cheese
3. "Knight Rider" Commercial Bumper
4. Kodak Disc
5. Velveeta
6. Promo for "Highway To Heaven" (The "greedy developer" here is none other than Jonathan Frakes aka Commander Riker from "Star Trek: TNG")
7. Walter Mondale for President
8. American Airlines
9. Milk
10. "Knight Rider" Commercial Bumper
11. Promo for "The Cartier Affair" (A special two hour "Dynasty"/"Knight Rider" crossover...at least that's what this should have been! There's a near two decade age gap between Joan Collins and David Hasslehoff, though I'd be really surprised if this movie addressed that)
12. Pepsi (With the Jacksons. This is the infamous commercial where Michael Jackson's hair was lit on fire by pyrotechnics)
13. Carl's Jr Big Deal
14. KRON News Bumper
15. "Knight Rider" Commercial Bumper
16. Prudential Life Insurance
17. TV Spot for "Oh God! You Devil"
18. Sprite
19. AT&T (With Cliff Robertson)
20. Frosted Flakes
21. Ronald Reagan for President
22. Pillsbury Soft Breadsticks
23. Pontiac Sunbird
24. Promo for "The Cosby Show" and "Family Ties"
25. Chevrolet Camaro IROC Z/28 (Commercials starting here aired on 11/11/84)
26. Tyco Super Cliff Hangers
27. LA Beer
28. Silkience
29. Promo for "TV's Bloopers & Practical Jokes"
30. Ford Escort GT
31. Campbell's Soup
32. "Knight Rider" Commercial Bumper
33. Promo for "I Married A Centerfold"
34. Chrysler Turbo New Yorker (With Ricardo Montalban)
35. Kellogg's Raisin Squares
36. KRON News Bumper - Розваги
Both of those Pillsbury commercials are shot like paranormal films with those people reacting to that unearthly light. I guess that's not surprising when your mascot is a sentient, talking blob of dough.
Dynasty Rider indeed!
The static is kind of funny when Cliff Robertson goes "The more you hear the better we sound."
Notification squad! So excited to watch this compilation of commercials from November 1984 (boyfriend’s birthday month/year). Also, I flipping love Jonathan Frakes; he was the awesome host of Beyond Belief, one of my favorite series, in addition to Star Trek, Falcon Crest, North and South, etc., etc.

@@80sCommercialVault thank you so much for this! I still want to know how much the “true” stories were embellished. It was always the most implausible ones that were “Fact.”
I turned six years old in November 1984 believe it or not.
The beginning of the Pilsbury's Sweet Rolls Commercial reminds me of the famous scene in The Wizard Of Oz Movie where Dorothy opens the door of her house to Technicolor Munchkinland in Oz.
The kid's smile at the end of the Cheese Commercial is just brimming with so much charm.
That's Tim Daly (from NBC's "Wings" and various movies) in the promo for "I Married A Centerfold".

The loud static makes it more original. Thanks for the memories.
It's sad that for 25 years we never knew just how badly Michael Jackson's Pepsi incident affected the rest of his life.
While I love the Kodak disc commercial (it reminds me of the Jim Henson special, “The Toy”) that camera was absolute garbage. My mom had hers for some reason until the mid-90s.
^ The Henson special you're thinking of is actually called "The Christmas Toy". One of my favorite Christmas movies from childhood. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Christmas_Toy
@@80sCommercialVault I love that special, even as an adult. I remember watching that show on Nickelodeon, along with Emmett Otter. Those were the days.
Great collection but it sounds like someone should have adjusted the bunny ears or fiddled with the dial to try to get the static out before they pressed record lol 😂 I remember those days. I love this channel btw.

interesting how Pepsi took MJ's Billie Jean and make the song into an ad
Hey! You've got the Michael Jackson hair-on-fire ad! Boy, did that make news.
They must have pulled the ad shortly after this cause I never saw the ad on tv. While it’s a cool ad it’s hard to watch , knowing it was the start of many problems for MJ...

Recorded 9/14/84: ua-cam.com/video/iaCRJIzYnFU/v-deo.htmlm0s
The ad was on TV for most of 1984 and might have played into 1985. It wasn't pulled.
Highway To Heaven-@2:15: "Riker to Enterprise-emergency beam-up NOW!!!"
The Cartier Affair-"I don't want to BE a love weapon!!!" Must be referring to some of her earlier films
Oh God You Devil-Book II was the much better sequel IMO
Family Ties-kangaroo kicked Alex like"WTF were you thinking????"
I Married A Centerfold-inspired by the life of Dorothy Stratten
"I Married A Centerfold" was "based on the real-life romance and marriage of Playboy's Miss April 1982, Linda Rhys Vaughn." Directly from the IMDB page. Please research before posting factoids.
I think you are thinking of "Death of a Centerfold" which was about Dorothy Stratten.
You're thinking of Star 80, which was the stpry of Dorothy Stratten. Also, I thought the third film was a pretty good concept, seeing Georg Burns playing both God and the Devil. The only way you could tell them apart was the glasses.
That AT&T advert is creepy af
I want that Chevy though
Raisin Squares 😎😎😎
The Kodak Disc just didn't do well, it didn't make as good of pictures as the more ubiquitous 110 point and shoot cameras.
Michael Jackson was absolutely HUGE in 1984. That "Whole New Generation" cover of "Billie Jean" was a big deal back in those days.
Frosted Flakes are pretty good. Although I think I've gone with the Malt-O-Meal version more often than not.
"Ooh-Ahh-Oh!" became quite the meme in the 4th grade. Of course it was inevitably followed with "Poppin' Fresh Dough!"
That "hotel" episode of Family Ties was my all time favorite! And that kid was Chunk from The Goonies!
I'm surprised that Raisin Squares existed before 1986, but here's definitive proof.
Raisin squares were good. I thought they came out in 1986, too. But I remember the commercial, so maybe it was 1984.
@@stuvo1977 usually I comment and never expect people to read the whole thing…thanks! Glad to share in the memories lol
