That stretch of Rene Levesque Ouest at the beginning was bleak for decades. Now it is almost completely built up.

City looks beat up and falling apart, nothing is matching, the colors of the buildings, the architecture is a mess

I like the scale of Montreal - it's a city where you can choose to walk, and the building height is capped, so it doesn't feel too overwhelming. Lots of cool neighbourhoods too.
