I think it is because luigi fighted against bowser so many times (so many that i can't count because dear god, there where a lot of fights against him ._.)
He's like "I'm not afraid of you. Me and my bro have fought you multiple times already, and I've beaten other opponents as big as you. As far as I'm concerned, this fight will be no different from the others"
46:38 this... this is the moment I felt Luigi learned he's bigger than the fears he has. throughout most of his transformations, you see him clutching his cap with two hands as if fearing his own death. that smirk, that one-handed tip of the hat just screams "bring it. You're going down bowser. I'm done fearing you!" Massive respect for Luigi
I still love how in this game, it just shows you how much Luigi will go for his brother. Wanting to fight with him and protect him. Absolutely love it.
I like how Luigi isn’t exactly gaining this form because he thinks he needs to grow a pair or something, but instead it’s because he cares more about his bigger, more successful brother’s safety

@@Ninjabro-ju7fq Another one of mine is during the Bowser fight when real world luigi pulls down his cap with a confident smile. A great bit of character development, he's grown more confident on this adventure, and is ready to stand with his bro against their oldest foe. And he kicks Bowser's ass so thoroughly, Bowser has to correct himself from saying "Green-Stache" as he's done in every other game in the rpg series, instead saying "Luigi," acknowledging him as Mario's equal.
Luigi proved stronger than... A robot able to drill objects to dust A volcano that can ram with the force of a train A guardian that is made out of f*cking floating housed A over-sized bird And bowser himself. *Still afraid of ghosts*

Hmm tbh i think moreso he meant to say to use what he learned about how each of the other 4 bosses attacked him, how he countered and defeated them and even use it to his advantage when it comes to the terrain and use it on Bowser in a similar fashion Luigi wasn't unprepared to face Bowser here and had at least 6 moves he could use in between counters to his advantage not just the moves itself

I always think of these as THE most exciting battles in Dream Team. So exciting that you might want to grab a bag and eat a lot of popcorn. I practiced and practiced and made the giant battles easier.
You are fighting a stuff like the manifested thought of the dream stone or a guardian of dreams as a gigantified Luigi in one of many dream dimensions, how the hell WOULDN’T that be cool
To me personally these were some of the worst fights the franchise had to over in gameplay. Now when it comes to scope and story these are definitely the most expressive fights in the game, but it feels like Nintendo just forgot about the existence of people with dyspraxia and forgot about the fact that people selling used 3ds might forget the stylis. Like they could have added like a button based version of the fights or even a easy mode like the regular fights offer. BUT ngl that final bowser battle is epic
Is it just me or is the music before Dreamy Luigi turns gigantic sound cool and *KIND OF* dramatic? Edit: Even when he's growing (Those Luigi's being consumed) it looks cool *PLUS,* There are words that give Luigi the motivation during he grows too!
@@arcfurrie4856 people like you are why i have comment notifs on how do people like you find comments from *3 hecking years ago* and think *“It’s called ‘Stand and Fight. Luigi”’?!*
@DarkCoreX i oh uh hi im back here again, uh while im here i guess, i didn't really say that you _can't_, im just wondering _how_ people find these old comments and dang these _italics_ are not cooperating.
I may love it when Mario and Peach have some romantic moments, but the thing I truly love the most is when Mario and Luigi cooperate together to defeat the evil.
If there's one thing the game taught me it's that Mario unquestionably believes in Luigi and loves him dearly and that belief and love is what gives him to strength to never let go of his little brother.
Regardless about what people think about this game I love the little detail during the giant battles showing how your destroying the environment as your fighting such as drilldigger taking down a massive mountain when thrown into the background and Luigi trampling over trees and stumps as he's chasing zeekeeper and earth-a-wake has you literally like driving each other into buildings pushing each other around only the first time through though you just get pushed through their rubble afterwards definitely great attention to design
@@JustMe-zv8wb i know, there should be SOMETHING to change the motion controls, but then again there are segmwnts in the battle where you HAVE to use them but yeah they're forced for no reason
So, this game answers the question of what happens if Bowser gets hit by Kamek's magic while giant. The next logical step, of course, is what happens if Bowser eats a Mega Mushroom AND gets hit by Kamek's magic while giant?
Just to let ya know in the robo-drilldigger battle you have to take damage when he attacks you with the electronic ball the 1st time, there's no use avoiding it the 1st time
It's not real damage, though (not just scripted but a cutscene disguised as damage), I actually tried to get it to KO me once and you're always left with some HP.
I'm surprised no one knoticed that Luigi’s swinging Bowser is a reference to super Mario 64 Edit: (This is why I can’t watch nostalgic things. Chances are I commented something stupid on them)
Here After seeing the Giant Boss battles in bowser's inside story remake and Dream Team still has the best giant battles, but the remake giant boss battles are better than the original.
I actually enjoyed Dream Team a lot actually, love how it took a little after Bowser's Inside story with the giant battles and Bowser still being able to inhale stuff. Sure, it's not AS great as Bowser's Inside story but still really good in my book. Paper Jam though? Yeah, no thanks.
Tepig Ninja Bowser's inside story was my favorite. Dream Team was pretty good, but there were some annoying parts in there. I especially hated the Zeekeeper boss fight.
ehhhhhhh i think color splash is also great like one of the best paper Mario game i think it's better then thousand years door please don't be mad it's my opinion
You know the reason all of Dreamberts body is visible during the earth wake fight is because in that one he was not used to enter the dreamworld but bedsmith was used instead.
6:16 - 6:20 For those who complain and say "you took damage" , remember Mother Brain's laser attack back in Super Metroid? That attack is like this one, *unavoidable* . Don't start thinking I made an excuse, this is true(probably try no damage yourself and see what happens, you'll take damage anyway).
I cry how every time Luigi powers up to be big, we can read his thoughts, just wanting to help and protect his bro because he knows Mario will do the same for him. 😢
6:21 Now before you start screaming that he took damage The player has no way of blocking the attack, as it's forced so that they can learn the Rhythm Mushroom.
Very true, and the best part is, it's not even real damage, either, since it can't KO you (I tried once) and the Rhythm Mushroom isn't counted as a turn (I consider it unavoidable healing).
I feel like I'm the only one that beat all of them first try. I really didnt have any problems with the motions controls except for when I was in a car.
the bond of the brothers are shown in these large battles: There is a large threat that Mario can't take down on his own but Luigi is capable of doing so The problem is that Luigi doesn't have the courage to take it down unless his brother is there with him
The thing that's cool about these fights is whats in the background. For example, the big tree you were just climbing in the Zeekeeper fight looms in the background, or how the bottom of the mountain in the background of the Pajamaja fight is there.
Thanks for watching! Enjoy!:)

I always think of these as THE most exciting battles in Dream Team. So exciting that you might want to grab a bag and eat a lot of popcorn. I practiced and practiced and made the giant battles easier.
I want this to go on Switch so I can play on the TV!

Regardless about what people think about this game I love the little detail during the giant battles showing how your destroying the environment as your fighting such as drilldigger taking down a massive mountain when thrown into the background and Luigi trampling over trees and stumps as he's chasing zeekeeper and earth-a-wake has you literally like driving each other into buildings pushing each other around only the first time through though you just get pushed through their rubble afterwards definitely great attention to design

Just to let ya know in the robo-drilldigger battle you have to take damage when he attacks you with the electronic ball the 1st time, there's no use avoiding it the 1st time
It's called a scripted boss fight usually always the first boss
Scripted damage doesn’t count
It's not real damage, though (not just scripted but a cutscene disguised as damage), I actually tried to get it to KO me once and you're always left with some HP.
I would always get chills when the “Turn your DS Sideways” logo appeared because I knew an epic giant battle was about to happen

Here After seeing the Giant Boss battles in bowser's inside story remake and Dream Team still has the best giant battles, but the remake giant boss battles are better than the original.
I agree, better controls, the finishing move.
All the giant bosses are by far my favourite in the game. I just love it.
12:06 Mount Pajamaja is acting like Yoshi.
Tepig Ninja I wonder if you got the reference how he turned giant by jumping off the platform.
i thought paper jam was ok but inside story was better
Tepig Ninja Bowser's inside story was my favorite. Dream Team was pretty good, but there were some annoying parts in there. I especially hated the Zeekeeper boss fight.
Tepig Ninja this game was fun
ehhhhhhh i think color splash is also great like one of the best paper Mario game i think it's better then thousand years door please don't be mad it's my opinion

This is the only part where damage is completely unavoidable, but can be recovered.
Let's just say it's "required damage". XD

You know the reason all of Dreamberts body is visible during the earth wake fight is because in that one he was not used to enter the dreamworld but bedsmith was used instead.
I love that when you launch bosses into the distance, any mountains in their way tumble downwards.

Hmm how we feelin' now after June? (I do agree, the 3d is so good in these games)
6:21 Now before you start screaming that he took damage
The player has no way of blocking the attack, as it's forced so that they can learn the Rhythm Mushroom.
Very true, and the best part is, it's not even real damage, either, since it can't KO you (I tried once) and the Rhythm Mushroom isn't counted as a turn (I consider it unavoidable healing).
I was gonna say it. That's the only time he took damage, but only cause it was "required damage".
I love how during the last one, instead of “Big bro is in danger!”, Luigi is thinking “Let’s go, big bro!” So sweet 😭
Man Zeekeeper was absolutely hard to beat it
Retro Game Days Yep. Earthwake was not too hard then Zeekeeper comes in and says “Nope, no easy-peasy for you!”
Zippiesthat54 . I actually almost defeated it but that part where you had to tilt the 3DS again just didn’t wanna work for a third time
True, I spent 1 hour and 30 minutes trying to defeat that hard boss

the bond of the brothers are shown in these large battles:
There is a large threat that Mario can't take down on his own but Luigi is capable of doing so
The problem is that Luigi doesn't have the courage to take it down unless his brother is there with him
11:41 it sounded like Dreambert was crying lol
The way he sounds like that is cute! 🥰
when about to almost get rammed by a rampaging living mountain of course!

Mario: No!

Mario: Luigi!
0:00 - Robo-Drilldigger
10:32 - Mount Pajamaja
22:06 - Earthwake
31:23 - Zeekeeper
45:41 - Giant Bowser
The thing that's cool about these fights is whats in the background. For example, the big tree you were just climbing in the Zeekeeper fight looms in the background, or how the bottom of the mountain in the background of the Pajamaja fight is there.
God damn, Zeekeeper opened up some ptsd memories inside me. Apart from that, these bosses were pretty amazing
