Some people think hurting someone was intentional, She loved me I loved her I couldn't commit because I had been hurt so much by another relationship that I couldn't give her my heart because I didn't want to be hurt again. So I had to find myself before I could give her my all, but in the meantime I never held her back to find what she was looking for, I know I hurt her mentally that is why I called her and told her this song is exactly what I wanted her to know why I couldn't make it work, but I also told her I was happy she found what she was seeking and I kissed her cheek and told her I would always cherish the times we shared, but go fully with the one she met I can he loves her more than life its self, I also shook his hand and told him who I was , but he would never have to worry about me interfering in their relationship and now Im friends with him, so whenever I see them I always shake his hand and wave to her. I just feel so bad because she always asked what could she do for us to make it work, and at the time I told her how could I tell you when I don't even know but now I know I didn't even love myself and how I couldn't love you the way you deserved.

@Kat I think this song is about a love avoidant, as in attachment styles. The psychology of attachment is super interesting. They just can't commit, often leaving when things are actually great between you.

It's not everyone. We do care we just give up so easily because we were not taught any other way and we try to find a way that causes the least amount of pain. Right now I'm in a relationship and got into a huge fight with my partner. I'm fighting for what we had and not trying to give up just because one moment in life is hard.
