very nice change of perspective. I feel they sort of went there on the show and I love them for it. Louis' motivations in the last couple episodes are so complex and interesting. On the one hand I'm 100% behind him, he does need to get rid of Lestat because he really would never let them go. On the other there IS just plain old resentment there and Louis rarely admits it. "I wanted him dead, I wanted him all to myself". Or as Claudia says " you want to kill him too". And who could forget his convo with Tom Anderson the secret to immortality is? Never get married! Louis' reply of "that's a good joke" while he's planing to kill Lestat is one of my favorite moments of his. OR the fact that he's all dignified when it comes to Antoinette, mostly ignoring her presence and sulking about it and then he ends up burning her alive with Claudia! Again something that needed to be done but I'm 100% sure that felt cathartic af to him lol. Obviously he also ended up not killing Lestat and that's the most decisive part of this whole situation. But I'm trying to say his motivation leading up to that was partially just vengeful and obsessive. (and I'm fine with that hahhaha) So vengeful and obsessive was what I got from this song choice too
Thank you for the you comment! I definitely was trying to show the more vengeful and obsessive parts of louis' point of view here, I'm glad it came through!
