Hey brother, thanks for sharing your insights on becoming a game developer in 2024. However as a game dev myself, I would say that there are a few points that need clarification and are misleading viewers. 1. Salaries can vary significantly depending on factors like your specialization (e.g., programming, art, design) etc. Big companies or in industry terms AAA studios will not hire you directly as the game dev courses in India doesn't provide the amount of skills you need to work in these companies. The salary apart from programming such as concept artist, animator, modeling, dialogue and story writer, level designer etc, there's very little career in these jobs in India esp for the beginners so you need to work on your own projects first which gonna take somewhere from 1-3 years. 2. Coding Requirement: In your video, there was a suggestion that extensive coding might not be necessary for game development, especially for simpler games. While tools like game engines (ex. Unity, Unreal Engine) provide visual scripting options and make development more accessible(which also require you to have ability to solve logics ), coding remains a fundamental skill for game developers. Even for basic games, understanding programming concepts is crucial for implementing gameplay mechanics, optimizing performance, and debugging issues that arise during development. 3. NPCs and Game Functionality: There was a mention of NPCs (Non-Playing Characters) and their behaviors being automatically handled by engines like Unity or Unreal Engine. While these engines do provide tools and frameworks for VERY BASIC AI and NPC behavior, creating realistic and dynamic NPC interactions often requires custom scripting and design work. Game developers typically need to write scripts to define NPC behaviors, reactions to player actions, and other game specific functionalities beyond what the engine provides. With that said, game dev is one of the hardest job ever(sure it is fun for a person like me who truly enjoy making games and not here just for the money.) Please do more research on these crucial topics before making the video as the audience watching you is trusting you, esp after the videos you made exposing the industry(which take a lot of guts and I appreciate you for this) but if you won't research properly then sadly there's not much difference between your and their content. Please take it as a constructive criticism and not as some hate comment. I wish you all the best and keep on doing the good work :D
Degree Mil jayegi Aaram se.. c++ ke saath Dsa sikh lo.. aur basic-intermediate level pe ajao.. then khud ka portfolio banao.. dusre devs ko dekho.. khud try kro (khudka ek chhota sa indie game bana lo).. fir apply kro jobs ke liye
