I still enjoy the reps but have to say I can’t follow the battlefield as I once did because of the various small interactions of players talking - that the camera swaps to the side camera so the positioning of each unit doesn’t stick with me. Anyway, always nice to have competitive content to watch !
I went back and checked ... bringing back half unit was indeed one CP less that was not registered. Still would have left 2. But maybe he had not registered that he started with 5 CP as underdog.
27:00 is that power through legal? Because it looks like teclis ends up in the combat range of the gitz hero. And power through doesn't allow you to engage enemies you weren't engaged with already
Also, with the new points and rule reworking a lot of those covering fires from Sentinels are now not possible since its limited to 12" and we can no longer do power of hysh and shining company together not to mention the points increase on all the good stuff. LRL got hit quite a bit with this new change
Both of these armies definitely took some hits from the battlescroll! Just to note though; Covering Fire range didn't change, the 12" range thing was for the Priority Target seasonal ability (that Sentinels often made use of)
Wasn't the LRL Do Not Waver failed when the purple sun died on the retreat? Don't manifestations count as friendly units? If not then what was the purpose of retreating the sun?
The Purple Sun does not count as a unit for the purposes of scoring. If it was left in combat the Trogg Boss could have piled in and hit the Sentinels.
I think it's more the manifestations. Teclis is dead as doornails if he couldn't spit out 4 bodies over and over, one of which repeatedly removed movement from the enemy
@@SeasonofWar yes, that's true but I think it's not enought. I tested it with my soulbight list and it's just abusive. Malevolent maelstorm deals a lot of damage if the oponent units form a castle and the others are usefull -1 save, block move, substract move, and they also deal damage.
Well. You wanted a Lumineth Battle report. Teclis is a LRL unit. Sentinels are a LRL unit. Morbid are available to everyone By every metric, you got what you wanted.
People keep complaining about Teclis, LRL as a whole, or manifestations, and they still lost... Ridge lost ALOT of rolls and Jordan did not yet still Gitz won. I think its the feeling the spells and denial gives but doesnt mean it cant be overcome.
Loving this edition but the manifestation changes are the worst, they were perfect in 3rd I can’t see any reason why they got changed, other than to drive sales.
I think is a good idea that they don't cost point ( so they see some play) and that they are more similar to units. Is a bed idea that you can summon 4 of them with the same wizzard. Just limit them to 1 per army ( or at least 1 per wizzard) and could be fine.
Thanks for making this game public. Sigmar is in such a bad place competitively and it trickles down to local play slowly. We can only hope GW is dragging its feet with fixes because theyre taking time to get it right. I cant help but be skeptical though -_- The punchline is Ridge is playing an extremely powerful army in the meta right now and even with that much firepower and scoring potential its still a dreadful time. Imagine what its like to be playing Beasts or Nurgle or something into this nonsense.
Multiple times in the early game the trolls were counted as having 5+ saves when they have a 4+ save, they were under the light of the moon getting 3+ saves n were counted as 5+ save against rend 1… And you guys are re-rolling charges for a CP after you’ve seen the roll, you have to declare and spend the CP before you roll to charge
I'm pretty sure Ridge was getting the saves right - he's played Trolls a lot. And for charging, you actually roll as part of the declare step - and Forward to victory is used in response to the Declare step, so you do indeed roll first, then decide if you want to re-roll.
@@warp5p1d3r6 Ohh I see. Yeah, I can see why that would be a little frustrating. I think thats an issue at the core mechanic of mechanics happening depending a dice roll, though. I think that always generally feels bad when you spend 3 turns in a row whiffing your casts, regardless of your opponent
Thanks to ridge for suffering through all 5 turns of that game
The best battle reports on UA-cam.
"Can you only do that once?" Nope "That's so dumb" 😂
I was just seeing if anybody mentioned this. Ridge sounded so demoralized.
@@morinnotmoron5510 having JUST played into this last Sunday, I feel Ridge’s pain so much. 🫂
Literally looked up the warscroll when he said that lol.
Playing against LRL to me feels very unfun. So little interaction. All their rules just happen, no dice roll required.
After watching this game and not thinking manifestations need reworked I don't know what to say...
Agreed. They're stupid and ruining the game with how they are just spammed right now.
The summon in opponents phase is just stupid
Said this from day one. They should be a once per battle ability.
@@rollnycgaming2279 Might be 1 "unlimited" per school, rest is once per game.
I feel teclis needs a tweak instead of manifestations as a whole, for most other wizards its pretty ok
just a heads up the squigherd don't benefit from gobbapalooza's +1 rend buff because of companion. Also Teclis is an absolute menace wow

Surprising victory. Awesome. I'm glad Teclis/Lumineth is a magic powerhouse
Morbid conjuration with Teclis is just dumb.
Can you guys put together a painting guide for those lumineth? They look fantastic
Crazy ending, didnt expect that. Good game!
Didn't expect that result!
Teclis with Shakles is so dumb. NPE at it's finest.
Great game! Teclis with all that control. Loved it
Why no counter charge from the trogg boss in turn 5 to wipe the sentinels and take their home objective?
I think there was a mistake in the edit - Ridge didn't actually have 2 CP remaining
I thought of the same 😅
I went back and checked ... bringing back half unit was indeed one CP less that was not registered. Still would have left 2. But maybe he had not registered that he started with 5 CP as underdog.
awesome game. apparently Teclis is as good as I thought, based on his warscroll and the current manifestation rules.... :p
27:00 is that power through legal? Because it looks like teclis ends up in the combat range of the gitz hero. And power through doesn't allow you to engage enemies you weren't engaged with already
I second that.
They definitely extensively playtested the manifestation rules.
it is so stupid i just played the slaanesh manifestations and comparing them to morbid is just laughable
It's a pleasure to watch your game, thanks guys!
What heads do you use for your sentinels Jordan? Look so much better than the originals!
Absolutely loved this those lumaneth played against with my STD army there really quick. Another great game guys ❤
Finally I see my Gitz performing! Dank!
Can't the trolls use charges to get over the shackles? I feel like it would net them some movement.

Great battle report as usual!
Awesome battle rep!
35:40: I am not sure AoE spells affect faction terrain ("they are not a ected by enemy abilities that do not involve picking targets.")
Storm of Searing White Light let's you pick any number of visible enemy units within 18", so it involves picking targets - otherwise you'd be right ;)
Gitz's turn 2, roll 4/6 rally points. You could return 2 models without healing! It is more impact
Teclis is a beast.but i have a question.why didnt you ise his strongest spells?
Purest Quartz and Shining Compnay stack
Amazing game till the end
The only thing that makes me more upset than a Lumienth loss, is a Ridge win!
Not casting protection of hysh on a 10 on top of 3 was ballsy....
Turn 2...I thought you couldn't banish and recast the same manifestation in the same turn?
You can't now, this was filmed before the battlescroll
whoever wrote the teclis warscroll needs a paddlin'
I think it's more the manifestations. Teclis is dead as doornails if he couldn't spit out 4 bodies over and over, one of which repeatedly removed movement from the enemy
Jordan can u do another Sylvaneth BR!!
There’s no way anyone picks the finish for this game! 👀
Doesn't the maelstrom have to explode when it's on 6 points? The ability doesn't say you "can" use it which suggests you must use it no?
Nope, every ability that you must declare (with the exception of FIGHT) is optional, if it was mandatory in would be a Passive Ability
It’s now faqed.
@@MuaddibDune The warscroll now says "You must, and can only use this ability if this unit has 6 maelstrom points" at the end of any turn
Morbid manifestation should be split in 2 groups of 2, they are the best ones and having "only" 2 should balance them a bit.
they did nerf it in the recent battlescroll!

why can't i find the spell "protection of teclis" anywhere ?
I meant Protection of Hysh, Protection of Teclis was from the last edition.
ahhhhh make sens thanks
Ok, Im officially tired of index endless spell silly time.
Combined with Teclis...ewwww
Ok. Just 2 years and 9 months left ;)
Can you retreat with endless spells?
yes. Retreat/move is a core ability. It does not require anything special.
Amazing!
Wow, what a game!!
Can gobbapalooza target a companion? (Herd)
Was so excited to see a Lumineth battle report and its a teclis+morbid+20 sentinels game..... Well, maybe next time I guess.... 😿

It can't be to drive sales, they were hard to find at end of third and they didn't get any easier to aquire at the start of 4th.
Chains need such a nerf most broken spell in the game currently
Mostly for Teclis.
Teclis with endless spells seems OP!! Auto casting in there turn is nasty!! Road blocks is what i see
For the love of god GW make manifestations cost points again or limit them to control 1 per wizard.
