1998 Isuzu Trooper Snorkel Mod Part 3- FINAL

The final video of a modification to my snorkel. I sealed the system with RTV and installed an Apollo inline air filter. I also removed the OE air box and went straight to the snorkel inlet with 4 inch silicone hose.

What do you mean siliconed? Like you squirted silicone on all the connections before tightening the clamps?

Put a bead of silicone RTV inside each of the rubber and plastic connections. Then tighten up the clamps.

I'm a newbie to this, so pardon my dumb question. But where is the filter? And how hard is it to change the air intake filter.

My filter is inside the silver housing. It's a K&N so it's reusable for a long time. You need to open the housing to change or clean the air filter.

Did you have to tune it for the Apollo?

No I didn't. I probably could because Shrek gets 10-11mpg maximum. Which sucks with 4 dollar gas

Thanks. I don't have a specific list but sourced everything from eBay and Amazon. If you need specifics, I can go over my accounts and look up purchases I made. The connection to the snorkel was not plug and play as I needed to cut a 4 inch by 12 inch down to transition to the angle. It's not rocket science but a bit tricky.

@@Mac58058 half of the stuff is no longer available on eBay. I worked my way to the 45 degree coming out the fender and finding that was a real bitch. Sorry pal.
