  • In this segment we ’Pimp Out’ a generic 4 stroke 50cc motorized bike through performance upgrades. This video covers a walk around, a ride along, build notes, and building process.
    *** This bike will not be stressed!!! I am saving that for the next juxtapose video...this is just an introduction, or a teaser if you will!!
    BARELY HALF-WAS USED
    *** UPDATE: (04/30/20)- So I have received some feedback about the Fat Belly exhaust. Many are curious as to why I didn't just use a straight pipe. So, my examination is.... I debated it. It would have been more simple AND I would get more power from a straight pipe--no argument there. That is true. 4 strokes need to just push away exhaust, not recycle it. Typical expansion chamber exhausts on 4 strokes have a flute style exit chamber. My goal was not performance...my goal was making it sound and look bad ass. Will the Fat Belly hurt the motor? No. Will the Fat Belly give the MOST performance? No. Though it will not give the most, it is still much better than the stock muffler and does give it a rich sound. I am fully aware of the differences between the pipes. Once again, I wanted to ’Pimp’ the bike, not make it as fast as possible. That can be proven by the size of the rear sprocket, the exhaust, and the pocket bike transfer case. If you want performance, then use a straight pipe...i am in no way suggesting the Fat Belly is better. I hope this clears up some of the air. Thanks for your time.

      Plus the less restrictive the muffler the leaner the engine will run, which is bad. So if your going to put another muffler on without as much back pressure, you have to re jet or get a new jet for the carburetor.

      Honestly even on the 2 stroke engine, that expansion chamber is worthless. The stinger is bigger than the header, so it's just a noise maker honestly.

      Joe Gac : Yep, like I have said, I only used it because I liked the look and sound a lot more than the straight pipe. Could I get more power from a straight pipe? Yes. Do I need an expansion chamber? No. My goal was to make the bike look and sound sweet. But, yes, you are correct! Thanks for watching and the input... it makes the community stronger

      @@SouthernCustomCC you can't get more power from a straight pipe unless you get new jets to make the engine run richer, straight pipe offers more airflow, but the engine will still be fed the same amount of gas through the stock jet, you need to add more air flow and fuel "a richer mix" to make an engine preform better. This is why super charged and turbo charged cars need aftermarket injectors.

Another build or purchase in itself but worth it. Maybe Tell the folks batteries not included and set it up to accept 12v power for further fun. Awesome builds, keep up the content!

    Looks very good. I have an Electra Lux 3i built in 2018. It is very difficult to get an older model in Germany. I then chose Electra because the company was founded in 1994, which is also the year I was born. I have now completely rebuilt it with 26 Abraham Linkage Monark, disc brakes, white wall tires, vintage lamp and wooden tank with pin-up girl. Thanks to the rust, it has now become a real Rat Cruiser. I'm still missing a taillight and an ammunition box as a minibar. Unfortunately, I'll probably have to get a new one for the ammunition box because I don't want the one from World War II to lose its value.
    I'm not sure yet if I'll install a motor. In Germany you need a class AM driving license for 50cc vehicles up to 45 km/h. But I probably won't be allowed to get a driver's license due to my mental disability and it will also be difficult for me to get approval for the Rat Cruiser in Germany. How far can you actually go with one tank full?

    I have just discovered some very interesting 4-stroke engines. One is Zongshen NH130 (90 usd in a local store) and is 130cc and 10 Kg heavy. Another one is AEROBS 154F at 87cc and 9 Kg. Another one is LIFAN 152F at 79cc or 93cc or 97cc or 105cc (8-9 Kg heavy and 100$-150$). After you remove the speed governor, change the carb + the exhaust and polish the ports those 2.5-3 HP will become much more than that. I will post some videos soon.
    These engines can be found in your local stores cheaply in water pumps ! So instead of searching them on Amazon or Ebay you better search locally for 2.5 HP or 3 HP water pumps and recognize the engine from the photos and specs. Or search for "154f engine" or "152f engine" without the brand name because many companies make them, they are Honda clones.

    Lol on exhaust pipe. Rejet carb and clear intake and exhaust ports. Skirt covers 1/4 of the ports. Needs ramped for better flow.

    I have replaced the carb on my one two weeks ago. Have not changed the jet ( not sure where to get jets here in South Africa). Dropped the needle ( top notch) and is running sweet.
    What have you done with the crankcase breather pipe.You cannot close the crankcase off as the engine has to expel air in the downward stroke of the piston. I fed the breather pipe into the NT aircleaner tube.
    My Bike has the T Belt reduction 6~1 and 44T rear sprocket. My friend has the pocket bike chain reduction 3~1 and is over geared with the 48T.
    Not sure if the 2stroke exhaust will increase performance, it does sound good and is more sree flowing than the standard one.
    Just a side note : the music volume is to loud.
    Do you have an e-mail address that i can send pics of my Bike.

      Cant you just stick some sponge in the hole so that it filters the air? And leave it hanging I guess, cause there is no place to put it and it wont affect perfomance

    Did the transmission break yet? I had one and it just break out of no where and i replace it with one just like it and the same thing happen again so i went with a Bikeberry transmission it would not fit in but i grinded away some of the fly weight cover and remove the bolt and it did great and it still alive today but you will lose some of the top speed but it can be easily gain back with a smaller sprocket. And just a little heads up when it came to returning things Bikeberry do not really take things back which made me wish i had bought my things on Amazon.

      eBay. Just type in Motorcycle headlamp, these will come up.. don't forget the 12v li ion battery. It will run you about 40-50$ depending on the battery size and type of headlamp... I used a real motorcycle lamp with LED bulb, and a 12v 3.3AH tiny battery. Also I recommend getting a triple tree suspension, the regular type of forks just looks awful with these types of headlamp units.

    𝙋𝙇𝙀𝘼𝙎𝙀 𝙃𝙀𝙇𝙋 𝙈𝙀! I have a 142f like the one you have. Just put an HP carb on it and jetted it with the lowest which is #65. It runs, but now it's way too rich. With the stock carb, the jet looks smaller than a #65, but it ran too lean. Especially after I ported the air box. I ordered #61-#65 jets because I couldn't find any smaller. I live in central FL, which is pretty much sea level. So which 5mm jets should I use, and where do I find them? OHH! Also, what do I do with the crank case vent tube? Run it back to the air filter?

    • @tomecalm7
      @tomecalm7 4 роки тому +4

      I figured it all out on my own. I think...LOL Thank God for intelligence! What did I end up doing you wonder?
      Made a custom jet using solder and a sowing needle, left the vent tube on the crank case but didn't run it anywhere, went to autozone and got a$ 2 NGK copper spark plug, and VOILA! She's PURRFECT! No more too rich/lean condition. I'm still leaving the original comment just incase there is something I missed. And YES, I do run an upgraded muffler.

    Hello from Romania, one question for you ... Would you prefer more a 4 stroke kit or the 2 stroke ? I'm about to build one and I have doubts about the 4 stroke and the clutch issues ... And for the 2 stroke I have doubts about the noise ... Could you help me out with a suggestion ? I enjoy riding on hils and valleys ... Which one
    would be better for me ? Thanks

    • @SouthernCustomCC
      @SouthernCustomCC  2 роки тому +1

      4 stroke is lower maintenance and more reliable overall. If you get the 4 stroke, make sure you get one with the belt transfer case and NOT the one with the silver chain pocket bike transfer case. Spend the extra $ to get one with that case. Also, consider a bigger, rear sprocket for more low end torque to get you up hills. Overall, you call. Happy building

    Belt drive transmission would have helped. That's what mine has. 100 tooth belt drive and 44 tooth sprocket on a Kent Ridgeland.
