replace listening to music with listening to quran,
and replacing mumbling rythm with reciting stasbih (subhanallah-hamdulilah-lailallahilaallah-walahoakbar)
i feel like this is sooo underrated:
tasbih when you're driving, or walking, or even working... once you get the habit of that, it will do itself by itself without thinking about it.

@@Artorias.the_abysswalker. That's "معلق" and it isn't even explicit... the word "يستحلون" or "consider... lawful" doesn't mean it isn't lawful... yeah Wine, illegal sex and silk ARE illegal but that doesn't mean music is...
and the other thing is... Silk is Halal for women, sexual intercorse is legal after mariage, so it ISN'T explicit
and there's even some people who think it's a "Makthub" or "mawduh" Hadith... so, you're out of luck.
I know that MOST not ALL scholars in the past did prohibit music, but nowadays the current trusted scholars like "Muḥammad Mutawallī al-Shaʻrāwī" or "Muhammad Ghazali" and "Ali Gomaa" are almost AGREEING that Music isn't prohibited thanks to the (952) hadith in Bukhari and (892) in Muslim, saying it's a general hadith (No, Albani and Ibn Baz and Ibn Taymiyah aren't scholars in my eyes, I'm an Ash'ari).
Times are changing, if you ask any Imam (at least in the North Africa countries) they'll say that it has some conditions for listening to music or (It's halal but you'll have to abide by these conditions), and it's really sad to see guys like this turn to the prohibition side EVEN THOUGH no hadith or Ayah is explicit in prohibition...
I mean, just look at this vid by an atheist and you'll know that Music prohibition is a problem
      ua-cam.com/video/kZboGGTF4m4/v-deo.htmlsi=ep5LLPf_WlN2tHB4
They keep making fun of us for prohibiting music even tho Science said that it has SO MANY GOOD EFFECTS ON THE BRAIN...

I was thinking that i might provide them with information which they could utilise to improve their lifes and then give them dawa . But what if this information helped young non Muslim more then muslims and they developed more?So would it be wrong for me to run an improvement channel. 6. Are the minority positions of scholars who allow the permissibility of music deviants after providing their evidences from Quran and Hadiths?

Hey! There is a slight difference of opinion amongst the scholars themselves and that's why you've heard different opinions. If you know the school of thought for which you have available scholars in your country, then I would highly recommend you ask them about the ruling. If you don't then i can provide you with the Shafi'i school's ruling and it is that:
      - Vocals/singing are halal, even things like Islamic Hums and Harmonizations (اهات اسلامية)
      - Duff (something like a drum) is halal
      - The rest of the instrumetns are haram
Regarding nasheeds with instruments in them, you can almost always find a version with vocals only.

@@mohammedalsaeedd hi there, Can you provide a rational reasoning behind this prohibition? Imo i find it irrational that a religion claims to have come from god when it prohibits Music because it's a "dangerous desire" whilst it allows you to have Marital Incest with your First Cousin, Child-Marriages, Marital R*pe with your wife or else Angels might curse her till the morning, Owning & Selling slaves & even having an intercourse with them. Legally Executing those who have decided to finally left what you believe in, etc. How do you find Islam even rational after this? I appreciate answers.

      1. Did Allah said music and singing is 100% haram? (yes or no)
      2. Did the prophet said music and singing is 100% haram? (yes or no)
      3. The Saudi Kings do the traditional Arab Sword dance with music in public (is this haram?)
      4. Saudi arabia Islamic sholars allow the sale of musical instruments publicly in shops since saudi arabia was founded. (is this haram?)
      5. Was Imam Shawkani (A Hadith Scholar) a deviant for saying objectively that there is no evidence that music is haram even though he wasn't a fan of music? Are there other scholars who refuted Imam Shawkani on the issue of music?
      6. Are the minority positions of scholars who allow the permissibility of music deviants after providing their evidences from Quran and Hadiths?
      7. In Hadith 5590 in Sahih Bukhari, does the word "Ma'azif" means Entertainment or does this word specifically means musical instruments since Arabic word for music is "musiqaa" and the Arabic word for music instruments "alat musiqia"?
      8. Is rapping considered singing or music, or rapping is just speech with rhymes?
      9. What is the punishment for listening or producing music, like there is capital punishment for murder?
      10. Did the prophet allowed the daff (musical instrument) during Eid and weddings?
      11. Did the Prophet or any other Prophet ban music from their nations?
      12. Is there any Islamic country in history that banned music like they banned, alcohol, instoxicants, pork?
      13. Is there music in Jannah?

Music is not haram. nowhere in the Quran does Allah talk about music. Allah said:
    "يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تُحَرِّمُوا طَيِّبَاتِ مَا أَحَلَّ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ وَلَا تَعْتَدُوا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُعْتَدِينَ"
"O believers! Do not forbid the good things which Allah has made lawful for you, and do not transgress. Indeed, Allah does not like transgressors."
This is exactly what you're doing with music, thinking you're following religion. What we should not do is listen to music that is OBVIOUSLY not allowed which contains OBVIOUS screaming or lyrics that we all know no one should listen to. But there are so many songs that are peaceful, beautiful, motivating etc..

Is non lyrical music haram if it is not then why are you using it in the video ,
I think music with haram lyrics is not allowed as it is justified but if the music contains no haram words or if it is a non lyrical music( I mean it by background soundtracks)
then it must be allowed because what could possibly be there to be haram in it
And we know that music is in our daily life we cannot avoid it
(What is music, it is collection of different sounds that makes us feels good )
I will quit music completely if there is a good reason ,
and I do avoid haram lyrical music

    • @mohammedalsaeedd
      @mohammedalsaeedd  Рік тому +3

Firstly, thanks for leaving a comment. Secondly, I will address what you've said in the most beneficial way possible inshallah.
      1. I respect that you avoid "haram-lyrical music", because even if it's not the perfect solution, it's better than going all in with haram music.
      2. Music with lyrics that are not inappropriate or anything of that sort is NOT haram. When I say music here, I mean songs, as in, there is a person singing lyrics that are not inappropriate. However, when it comes to the instruments, the difference in jurisprudence(fiqh/islamic ruling) arises.
      3. When we take rulings, we take them from an authentic source and that is the 4 madhahib, whose trace goes back all the way to our beloved Prophet Muhammad SAW and his students of knowledge. As mentioned, there is a slight difference of opinion. Please refer to this video for a GENERAL OVERVIEW of what they have stated: ua-cam.com/video/ruxatH5tBgs/v-deo.htmlsi=x89zNKpm1OpsL5xR . Reading deeper into this topic (Music) and its origin might help you see WHY it is haram. To simplify it for you, the general consensus when it comes to the REASON behind its prohibition is the EFFECT it has on you as a person, with certain tunes enticing you in certain ways depending on the notes they are played in. We are not oblivious to this fact, just look at how the Quran can affect you and bring a tear to your eye even when you dont get it. Similary, instruments can do the same since they work on similar musical scales. There are also origin stories for music that show it eventually led to adultery (they basically had what is essentially a concert and the men and women dancing together eventually led to zina).
      4. My personal advice to you would be: if you can't bring yourself to separating from music, perhaps you could just try to enjoy more of the recitation of the Quran. Who knows? Perhaps you fall in love with it so much that you dont even want music regardless of the ruling (Fun fact: that's what happened with me).
I hope this helps, take care:)

Actually I don't listen to music it happens only when I am watching a movie or a yt video or in a wedding never personally go to search a song and listen to it but I do like collecting background soundtracks (idk maybe for editing in the future)
Yes I know I am trying my best to not only read but to also understand the Qur'an, actually I am in 12th class and also studying for my college exam(IIT/jee) and it is really hard ,I have to study all night till 5 am then I pray my Fajr namaz and very very rarely I am able to read Qur'an because of less time and then I sleep kind of all day
So it is really a hectic routine for me
And I don't know at this age I am having lots of questions about my religion like the theory of evolution right or wrong ,etc
So I thought by reading the Qur'an I will get my answers ,it's just that I am not getting enough time to read it
Btw do you know any channel or videos that explain the Qur'an as a story ,like what happened first then after then so on...
Because there are so many interpretations and I want to understand Islam from the beginning
And I got inspired by that video "living 24 hours like our prophet used to "

U shouldn't hear quran if u cant pay attention to it

  • @ulumunderscored

    TL;DR
Music is not haram. Haram is a big word can't be used here. There's no true evidence or statement about this in the quran or hadith of being haram. Zina music is haram. If Opposing sex is not going to zina or making bad sounds to arouse you it's haram. If motivation its not. Be aware of Extremists. Extremists ruin Islam.
(if you say there's hadiths and an ayah talking about music is haram then read)
Before I start. I want to tell you that you should have an open mind to logical things and you should never lie to yourself. Get knowledge and ALWAYS follow the truth.
بسم الله (in the name of allah). what I am about to say is logical. Music is not haram. Only, zina music and some opposite sex music are haram. But instruments and music are not haram. Haram is a big word you cant say it without evidence and just say it here and there. What's my evidence? My evidence is that music is not mentioned in the quran not even anything close to music being mentioned in the quran, so here you can't say its haram, also NO hadith mentions about music being haram (also not even close), there's one hadith which says like I dont really remember it but it says like there's people who say that alcohol AND music AND (other bad stuff) is halal. here the massenger (SAW) used AND and not OR. There's a difference, and also this hadith is weak because music is mentioned and music isnt even mentioned once in the quran and no other hadith mentioned music (and there was music back then but not like the modern music). And also there's people who say alcohol is halal which is wrong. and now there's an ayah people talk about it. They say idle talk is music which is not. there's one ayah that talks about idle talk
    (31:6 (legacy.quran.com/31/6))
"And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech to mislead [others] from the way of Allah without knowledge and who takes it in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment."
some people say لهو الحديث (which is replaced with amusement of speech and thats the correct meaning) is idle talk. And they say idle talk is music but its wrong, and idle talk means a talk which is like worthless or a speech with no benefit or maybe speaking out anything that comes out of your mouth (not sure) or something like that but far away from music. And i wanna tell you about something. Extremists. Extremists ruin all of islam. I love islam and there's nothing ever wrong with it. but, Extremists who ruin it. And I dont regularly go to mosque because of them. I hate them so much. And, what is extremism? Extremism is basically like Im gonna read the quran all day and say everything is haram. استغفر الله (I seek forgiveness from allah). (also i heard that the massenger said no to the people reading quran all day but im not saying dont read, read like 15 minutes or like 2 hours but not all day). And not all extremists do this, there are levels of extremism. See, if you want to read quran all day and pray all day, I don't care. And you shouldn't pray because of reputation that's actually haram. So I shouldn't care and your reward is from allah. So, dont say not reading quran all day is haram or what other things than actual haram things (with evidence) you'll say haram. It's actually misleading children and even adults. And my advice and this is the truth. Is, to be in the middle. Not extreme nor poor in obligatory things. And NOBODY in the ENTIRE world can be like the massenger Muhammed (SAW). Im telling you that right now. Because maybe some people want to be exactly like prophet muhammed (SAW) but if you want to be like him that's very good! But not like saying anything that comes out of your mouth is haram. No, rather being like the prophet how he treated people and what he does and why he does it. Also by the definition of you cant be like prophet muhammed (SAW) doesn't mean you dont do the obligatory or what he said like extra prayers. And its good you'll get rewarded but not haram not to do them. And again haram is a very big word. You cant just speak out what comes out of your mouth and say everything is haram. That IS haram to do that. You are misleading/misguiding people. But why is it a big deal? You know these extremists? After months (or years maybe) of extremism they will most likely fall and not do their extreme things. or even not do obligatory stuff! And they say "islam is too hard" islam is not hard its actually easy but you made it harder. and MAYBE if they're too extreme or maybe they cant handle maybe normal extremism, they'll say "i hate islam" استغفر الله. So don't be extreme nor poor in obligatory things, Because like being late of prayers and without good excuse major sin (good excuses such as forgetting or sleeping or other excuses you dont get a sin), so dont be poor in obligatory or never do obligatory, and I have heard and this is known is that if you don't pray ever EVER from like now on you are a disbeliever (kafr). (if you are a new muslim and you dont know anything, thats a good excuse and you wont get a punishment, but you gotta learn, take your time (not too much), and if you are a new muslim reading this I hope allah will have mercy on you). And also saying haram without evidence is misguidance. And It is. Like imagine someone says water is haram. You'll die if you get brainwashed by him. Im over exaggerating but maybe a child gets brainwashed or you are so get so brainwashed easily or slave of someone or worshipping him استغفر الله (all of these are obviously very wrong) honestly like you must follow the truth with evidence or proof to be successful in life (this might be a small thing but this is true to everywhere and I would say that if you dont want to follow the truth you need help. You should always follow the truth by evidence or proof) (also the truth has to be logically truthful not from yourself or anyone's but from allah's and allah is the truth (not from yourself because of shaitan (devil))). And there's absolutely no proof saying that music is haram and relating it to the sharia. So thats not true. And also there's people who want views and dont care about sharia and want attention, so they're using islam for views. These people who say "zina is haram" in the title and puts a thumbnail of a girl with a boy. Absolute Hypocrites. And most extremists are hypocrites. They tell you this is haram but they do it or do it on an other type. Like some people say like arab music is ok but english music is haram. what is this. what type of hypocrisy level are you on to? And hypocrite people are the type of people you don't want to go to them and ask them these questions or be friends with them. (sorry for using too many hypocrite words i shouldnt be saying it too much). and about the zina and opposite sex. Zina music is haram. (continued in reply)

    • @ulumunderscored
      @ulumunderscored 9 місяців тому

      (17:32)
"And do not go near adultery. It is immoral, and an evil way."
And for the opposing sex, there's some okay and some not, if the opposing sex is arousing you by their voice (or m**ning) or going to zina its haram. It leads to m***ebation which is haram. Also if there's a picture of a girl or something dont see it but if the voice is not bad like arousing you or m**ning then its alright.
      (23:5) (legacy.quran.com/23/5)
"And they who guard their private parts"
(guard means protect which if you protect you dont want m***ebation or zina from others. and you dont want to do the bad thing yourself) But if the opposing sex is just maybe making you hyped into motivation or something like that that would not be haram maybe would be good. But i want to tell you another thing. If you want to quit music, that's probably better. Because some people say that music might be affecting your heart. which might be true and maybe not because maybe it motivates you (I dont really know about that). But it's your choice. But saying it's haram that's on other level of extremism and misguidance. As i said haram is a very big word like maybe alcohol and other stuff not music a very small thing. And smallest sin you can do, isn't music, it's worse than music. I can't name them because there's so many sins but what i know from my daily life the smallest sin is worse than music. I want to tell you something another thing, why dont you focus on small sins or other big sins maybe you are doing or learning quran and hadith other than saying music is haram to all people or saying it to yourself and say music is okay now. Like seriously. you will waste your time. And if you are planning to quit music keep this in mind from what im about to say now, if you hear music dont say "STOP IT STOP IT!". No, ever. Say nicely and if you're going to a mall and there was music, just hear dont listen and thats it. Try to do that and that will actually make you a skill. like you dont have to tell everyone to stop putting music.
And one last important thing. This is the most important thing you will hear in your whole life. Nothing you hear is more important than this. Think about this with open mind. You will go to Jannah by the mercy of allah. Even if you had 500 years of worship. That will be nothing compared to the mercy of allah. And if you were to get judged by your 500 years of worship in the day of judgement, you will go to hellfire. Can you think about that for a moment? To get the mercy of allah you have to follow the truth. Following the truth is actually healthy and would make you successful in this life and the most important, the next (and of course the mercy of allah is the most important). So dont cheat and do bad stuff be successful and healthy and get the mercy of allah by following the truth. Also you could pray 4 rakaas before Asr prayer and the prophet muhammed (SAW) said: "May Allah have mercy on one who prays 4 raka’aat before the ‘Asr Prayer.”. And that's why when someone dies we say الله يرحمة (May allah have mercy on him). And I want to tell you something. when the prophet muhammed (SAW) makes dua (praying for allah which he is doing now), is different from a normal person making a dua. A normal
and I want to tell you another thing. Life is short, its not forever, only the life of the next is, but this is not. Don't waste time on this. I gave you the logical reasonings. I researched because so many people now are saying music is haram. and i want to know the truth. And what i also mean by wasting time i mean focus on obligatory things and focus on maybe sins you are doing. Maybe focus on not swearing, because it is haram. Or any other things. And also maybe go to a graveyard and say "إنّا لله وإنّا إليهِ رَاجعُون" (We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return) (you can say in english if you dont know). Why am i saying this? because it will remind you if the next life. You will say one day i will end up here. And I will stay here till the day of judgement, and i will get graveyard judgement. And you will remember if you anything bad or not and if you did bad you will try to make it better.
      Conclusion:
Music is not haram. zina music and some opposing sex is haram but some opposing sex like motivation and stuff is not haram.
May Allah guide us and have mercy on us. May allah help us gain knowledge from him.
And I hope I didn't misguide anyone and im not pretty sure about the opposite sex.
      And Allah knows best.
(there might be grammar mistakes or general mistakes here and there sorry)
