TC Electronics needs to give "Tasty Danish Pete" an endorsement deal - his creation and use of loops on these vids is just terrific. I say it all the time: "Tasty Danish Pete" is the best thing to happen to Anderton's in a long time. :)
Pete, the beginning of this video is positively hypnotic. Close your eyes and see the vibrations type stuff, thank you for not ever getting frustrated and giving up playing. It has to be hard to get where you are with your playing and none of us would be where we are if we had quit when it got harder to improve. Pretty guitar also, excellent tone, those Alnico III's have an excellent warmth and yet a quack to them. Love it. Give me burgundy mist or give me death.
I actually really like the colour of that guitar, thought it has nothing to do with burgundy! I think maybe it was a typo, it's actually "Burgundy Missed" because they tried to make it burgundy but fucking missed.
Pete, your playstyle is so unique you are truly an amazing guitar player and the fact that you really look into it and enjoy it so much and create great soundq makes it so good to watch from a viewers perspective.
Peter Muijsenberg .. how was it? It's the colour I'm struggling with, which is obviously why the reduction in price as they're not selling but I'm thinking a change of pick guard may help!
Lord Fuzzman It's actually a much more subtle colour than it seems to be in the pictures. It honestly looks great, but I'm partial to oddball Fender colours. Plays and sounds wonderful as well, especially at that price.
a $100 guitar is going to sound good through a $2000 amp. But a $2000 guitar is gonna sound like bee's in a can through a $100 amp. Amp is definitely more important.
Just bought one. couldn't resist. Love the colour Thanks Andertons!! ...I ..used to have a squier strat back in the 1980's but it was a 50's with only three blade positions.....my friend had a 60's with the 5 blade positions..I had to 'wedge' the selector between two positions to get the out-of-phase sound.... !!! Yes I am old !!! also for info for you youngsters the first ever squier strats actually had the 'Fender' logo on the FRONT of the headstock with 'squier' in small writing just by it :) (they were made in Japan ).
What a great demo! I've seen an American Deluxe in this colour and it looked nicer in life than this video shows. Then again I've seen the colour on a vintage car and it was elegant with it's white and chrome trim. Very '50's vibe in the same way that Sea Foam green is.
Ordered Friday night turned up Sunday morning can't beat that for delivery I collect and play guitars and this one is great value as in 10years it should at least triple it's value as it will be a collectors guitar due to not many being sold. Forget about the colour during that time and play it its a great guitar.
I actually felt for Pete, on this one, talk about being put between a rock and a hard place, make it sound good, just not too good, given that Anderton's sell the Fender customs stratocasters which don't sound a million miles away from squire strat vibes.
fantastic review, never mind the colour- paint it Black/White/ Sunburst! anything you like- dam fine sounding guitar, for £249? you must be joking? brilliant review Pete
Well, that was a learning experience. I'd replied almost immediately to your initial query with a link to his channel, but I guess UA-cam censors out comments with links in them, or such, as it's visible to me, but apparently not to other users. Sigh. Anyway, if it might be of help beyond your already having the name, his channel ID is UCiHJWmDw3tSgdqy_5OVOkGg .
I just found one in seafoam green in a used shop near me for $200. I've played bass for 2 decades but never owned a guitar. Came here looking for a review & was sold on it after 30 seconds. I know what I'm buying today!
Do you have a pic or vid? What I realized is this color is never coming back ever. It’s a keeper and the body contours are so thin and rounded even high end Strats don’t have that.
I feel a little bit more nostalgic. Feeling like my Squire guitar not only needs repair, but really deserves a bath of repairs and vintage spare parts replacement. I can almost feel my guitar by watching that video. ((( Pete is great ))). Main parts to keep in my guitar (just aged as they are): pickups and machine heads (the previous owner had changed those parts, placing vintage pickups where the originals were from korean fender squire).
Sovereign Sentience haha I've seen Burgundy Mist Strats and they definitely don't look like that...That's straight up "Sparkly glittery pinkish purple" :D
seriously... go on reverb and google burgundy mist. so many companies are calling so many variations of color from salmon to down right red, burgundy mist.
God dam it andertons it's my birthday rum has been consumed and I've always wanted a cheeky strat. so one purple spangly one should be on its way to me for Monday.
mrdub420 at least you remembered you bought it. I had a couple ebay beerlooms show up. Did not know i had bought them..thought i was only looking. Nice surprise when it happens...
I bought one of these in the hideous green color - it's a very respectable Strat. I took it to the cellar and dod a relic job on it - looks much better! It hung on the wall for about 2 years and no one bought it. I got it for 265.00 American.
Just bought one of these and they are great. fantastic slim necks to play, lighter than a USA strat and more comfortable to play too. The fret edges are fine but could do with softening up a little to match the US strat but not a great deal different, The pick ups are nice but a little too bright for me. The Tuners are excellent as is the trem. Basically if you upgrade the pick ups you've got a guitar that would stand up to any US strat at a fraction of the cost. If you're not a complete tone hound you'll be over the moon with how it comes straight out of the box!!
Love the classic vibe series. Squire vs Epiphone... in the budget underline I'd say Squire beats Epi hands down. To start with the head stock is of the major brand shape and isn't "clipped", fit and finish is closer to the Fender line than Epi is Gibson. I hobbled together a Classic vibe telecaster minus the mighty might sonic blue body it's all Classic vibe. It is a wonderful guitar. My chief complaint is the neck is slightly narrow at the nut on the Classic Vibe series. Advertised at 41mm in most cases, mine measures 42mm. Great guitar, great color good review.
Mine arrived yesterday! Great guitar for the price! The first time in almost twenty years that I have a classic SSS Strat at my disposal, let's see how that turns out :-p
My neck, mid and bridge pickups are noisy as hell. But Mid+Neck and Mid+bridge pick ups are fine. I exchanged two Classic Vibes but it becomes noisy. Especially while recording through my Scarlett 2i2.
Wow!.. that Squier have awesome tones.. When played by you ;) Actually, I have request... Could you guys make a comparison video of the better Squiers. Like Squier Vintage Modified, Squier Deluxe and Squier Classic Vibe? I would love that.
andrewt248 OK. So for Squier their "top shelf" guitars tend to have rosewood fretboards? Which is fine if that is the case, I like the rosewood fretboard. Interesting.
The CV 60's models are rosewood because 60's guitars tend to have rosewood fret boards. For the same top-of-the-line level, the CV 50's guitars are maple. I seems rosewood boards were popular in the 60's. As far as I can tell both Squier and Fender use both kinds of fret boards.
this sounds amazing (and Danish Pete is one of my favourite guitarists) seen a few "sounds like" videos and these 60's classic vibes are always in there, 's cos they're stellar value for money already (even without the epic deal) Plus, Andertons are a really cool group of people - very helpful and friendly.
A lot of attack from a compressor seems to be covering these medium quality pickups. And overall this strat is pluged in into good pedals and amplifier. But afterall Classic Vibes are great guitars for the price
I love it when Pete plays with himself ;)

Petes playing is always so great to listen to
I love Pete's demos, the only in Andertons channel that knows how to get a good tone in his videos...
i dont care what people say, i love this fucking color and squiers are underrated as hell
Cletus the fetus a
Quick! Buy them all up, Cletus!
Joe Strummer u bitch u
Pete, your playstyle is so unique you are truly an amazing guitar player and the fact that you really look into it and enjoy it so much and create great soundq makes it so good to watch from a viewers perspective.
Bought one. Couldn't resist at that price and that colour.
Enjoy it Peter. Thank you and thank you for watching.
Andertons Music Co Thanks for responding! I'm sure I will!
Peter Muijsenberg .. how was it? It's the colour I'm struggling with, which is obviously why the reduction in price as they're not selling but I'm thinking a change of pick guard may help!

Peter Muijsenberg .. thanks I'll find out in a couple of hours. Just had one delivered!!
Love your clean tones playing Pete!
I have this same Strat. It’s awesome. Gorgeous looking and sounding.
When Pete said "This is a Squier", Siri woke up and picked that sentence. Rewinded it 10 times, still does it :D
Had one of these in my hands, tone, playability and color is beautiful
You're safe Pete, got the instrument and it's fab. Only niggle are those sharp fret ends. My fret file will be busy this week. Thanks Andertons.
Every guitar review just makes me realize how important amps actually are for the overall tone. Seems like more than the guitar
They've had a couple,?, of videos with expensive guitar/cheap guitar vs cheap amp/expensive amp comparisons. It's balancing act for sure.
uh nah or how good you are at playing????
Pete could play that guitar through a microwave and it would sound like this..
a $100 guitar is going to sound good through a $2000 amp. But a $2000 guitar is gonna sound like bee's in a can through a $100 amp. Amp is definitely more important.
Yup!! old Korean squiers sound great if you put some Texas Specials in them, and they're literally made with plywood.
!!! This exact same guitar was on sale a few weeks ago from a major U.S. online retailer for 249 DOLLARS! I bought it straight away. Amazing guitar.
Back when Pete didn't knew purple was his favorite color
this guy's playing so badass he's too damn good
Greetings from Costa Rica Pete and all Andertons Rob/Lee
Nice bit of "lenny" in there Pete :D
What a great demo! I've seen an American Deluxe in this colour and it looked nicer in life than this video shows. Then again I've seen the colour on a vintage car and it was elegant with it's white and chrome trim. Very '50's vibe in the same way that Sea Foam green is.
Damn he makes that guitar sound good! But then I swear if he played six piano wires nailed to a board it would sound good! Happy Christmas one and all
Ordered Friday night turned up Sunday morning can't beat that for delivery I collect and play guitars and this one is great value as in 10years it should at least triple it's value as it will be a collectors guitar due to not many being sold. Clive Davies I am Jonesing to get one but to many folks knocking the color.
I actually felt for Pete, on this one, talk about being put between a rock and a hard place, make it sound good, just not too good, given that Anderton's sell the Fender customs stratocasters which don't sound a million miles away from squire strat vibes.
that's a really unique color, maybe its my fave color that's why i like it so much
That intro was beautiful.
fantastic review, never mind the colour- paint it Black/White/ Sunburst! anything you like- dam fine sounding guitar, for £249? you must be joking? brilliant review Pete
It's the colour that sold it to me mate! x
Does he have his own channel? Favorite player on the channel.
definitely
Neil McLinden thank you!

Micah Tischler well that's annoying Haha. I appreciate the help!
Yeah i gave you link too, guess you cant see it :(
I've ordered one on the strength of this vid. If it's crap I'll be round your house with the Krays. Merry Christmas!!!
Aah, hello Lenny :) 7:45
Superb demo as always pete!
I was considering this one but ended up getting the 60 anniversary Squier strat.
Sound incredible and beautiful. Love your tone
Just bought one and it's an amazing guitar!
Merry Christmas Pete!
I just found one in seafoam green in a used shop near me for $200. I've played bass for 2 decades but never owned a guitar. Came here looking for a review & was sold on it after 30 seconds. I know what I'm buying today!
Bought mine for $500 [Canadian] and honestly fell in love with it's tone more than it's colour. Of course I added a gold pickguard to balance it out.
Do you have a pic or vid? What I realized is this color is never coming back ever. It’s a keeper and the body contours are so thin and rounded even high end Strats don’t have that.
Pete can make everything sound like a million.... nice playing ! Og glædelig jul ;-)
Ok Pete , you sold me this one ... I can't wait until Tuesday to receive it .
Beautiful playing man, it's all in the fingy wingies!
I feel a little bit more nostalgic. Feeling like my Squire guitar not only needs repair, but really deserves a bath of repairs and vintage spare parts replacement.
I can almost feel my guitar by watching that video. ((( Pete is great ))).

If you were playing a drinking game and your word was "249 Quid" you'd be hammered by time you got through this. Beyond that I enjoyed the Demo...
Fantastic playing yet again.
Great video, Pete! Thanks! Just found one locally that I'm picking up today. :-D
I have a FSR CV 50s strat in daphne blue and it sounds like a dream for that price point. Go grab em, all Classic Vibes deserve an honor
Love this guy... and also Rabae... sounds much better than it looks.
that was some creative calling that colour 'Burgundy Mist'
Sovereign Sentience Yeah. It's pink for fucks sake!!! ;)
Sovereign Sentience haha I've seen Burgundy Mist Strats and they definitely don't look like that...That's straight up "Sparkly glittery pinkish purple" :D
Its a car color from the 50's. And its metallic so it looks pretty different depending on the lighting.
+Ahmed Diab actually, burgundy mist strats do look like that, dunno if you're just colour blind or what cuzz
seriously... go on reverb and google burgundy mist. so many companies are calling so many variations of color from salmon to down right red, burgundy mist.
Ordered, could not resist at that price
I think Prince would love this strat
Man if I didn't already have a couple strats this would be mine :)
There's no such thing as too many strats.
Come on man, 2 isn't enough.
God dam it andertons it's my birthday rum has been consumed and I've always wanted a cheeky strat. so one purple spangly one should be on its way to me for Monday.
mrdub420 man I am on your wavelength
mrdub420 at least you remembered you bought it. I had a couple ebay beerlooms show up. Did not know i had bought them..thought i was only looking. Nice surprise when it happens...
beautiful playing : )

That's a killer deal. Shame I don't even have the budget for this right now!
Glædelig jul, Peter! :)
styx85 From one dane to another.
This is beautiful.
I'm in love of this colour

If you're not a complete tone hound you'll be over the moon with how it comes straight out of the box!!
can you through in some masking tape and a rattle can spray paint?
Love the colour of the back of the neck, undecided about the purple front...
Marmaduke Winterbotham
Interestingly, I feel the opposite. I like the body color, but not too savvy on the neck color.
Danish Pete could play a shoe box with 3 rubber bands and make it sound good.
Nice playing! Pete could sell anything ...
Danish Pete, I love you no matter what colour guitar you play.
I don't say that Squiers are bad but I surely don't have your fingers Pete... And that's the recipe of a good sound.
Love the classic vibe series. Squire vs Epiphone... in the budget underline I'd say Squire beats Epi hands down. To start with the head stock is of the major brand shape and isn't "clipped", fit and finish is closer to the Fender line than Epi is Gibson. My chief complaint is the neck is slightly narrow at the nut on the Classic Vibe series. Advertised at 41mm in most cases, mine measures 42mm.
Great guitar, great color good review.
I believe early 60s Strats were only just over 41mm at the nut, which is why these are too?
Teles are advertised as 41.3; strats are 42. My CV60 Strat is per advertised
Wow, what a great sounding guitar! I've got one of these coming my way early next week ;-)
Great video, Pete. Did anyone ever tell you you sound like Soren Andersen, ja?
Bought one of the last ones, hope it turns out well!
danish midas pete!! gold bro!!
classic vibes are fantastic istruments in relation with the price!
That tumnus though!! and that guitar!! NGHH
Man! Awesome playing! Can you please tell me, from witch Nile Rodgers song your inspiration came from? Thank you!
Please help me decide between this and the squier cv 50. Already have a 50 tele cv (maple). Greetings!!!!
So why are the Left hand models not included in this deal ?????????????? I see them listed at 422
+colintraveller It is only this guitar that is on sale as the colour is being discounted.
Do you think you could have used a few more question marks?
lol
Can you make me a deal with the 3tone sunburst tele Classic vibe:)
how you setting the HRD for clean sounds? Great tone at 5:35min
Yay! Pete knows it's "sound like" not "sounds like". Wish the two doing the vids would realise that.
Luv the Pete!
Wow!.. that Squier have awesome tones.. When played by you ;)
Actually, I have request... Could you guys make a comparison video of the better Squiers. Like Squier Vintage Modified, Squier Deluxe and Squier Classic Vibe? I would love that.
great guitar! I would have to sand the colour off though, or respray it or something.
I've never been a fan of painted head stocks on Fenders.
v8dreaming Yeah, I would love these guitars, but the headstock ruins the entire thing for me.
I agree, but I do like painted headstocks on Jazzmasters for some reason.
Danish Pete is fucking awesome player, great feeling,so inspired.
are you going to trade your sterling in for it?
I notice Squier tends use rosewood on their fretboards vs Fenders which tend to make more maple. Why is that, out of curiosity?
The Electrocist There are plenty of maple board Squiers. The Classic Vibe 60's (the top-of-line model you see in most videos) default to rosewood.
andrewt248
OK.
I've got the 50's model in red with a maple neck. It's an incredibly good guitar for the money.
what amp were you using for this demo?
I bought this for the color and and because I like squire guitars. At three hundred twenty dollars i found it to be a great deal.
it's too bad Fender/Squier doesn't do more w/ the CV's in the way of other colors.
Looks like a guitar straight from Jem and the Holograms cartoon from the 80s. Shame because Squier Classic vibes are bang for the bucks.
The CV factory knocks 'em outta the park, especially for the money.
How long does the epic deal last? The money i got for christmas allows me to buy this, how much time do i have to think about it?
+Stephan Rose until we sell out - we've sold about 100 in the last 2 weeks & have about 60 left.
I want to have these colour bit it doesnt exist anymore😥😕😭😭
I don´t like matching headstocks men jeg liger Danske-Peter! :-D

what mic is he using ?
Looks like a Royer ribbon mic
Pete made it reaaally tempting but the color isn't me. Still...
Which scale is he using at the beginning? :0
Major Pentatonic knowing Pete...
this sounds amazing (and Danish Pete is one of my favourite guitarists) seen a few "sounds like" videos and these 60's classic vibes are always in there, 's cos they're stellar value for money already (even without the epic deal) Plus, Andertons are a really cool group of people - very helpful and friendly.
A lot of attack from a compressor seems to be covering these medium quality pickups. And overall this strat is pluged in into good pedals and amplifier. But afterall Classic Vibes are great guitars for the price
