Classic vibe forever : )
Please do a Telecaster version too!
The Butterscotch 50's and the 60's Custom Classic Vibe Teles are Legit
Here waiting
Yonathan Alvarez me too!
I want to see the video where Rob judge a guitar only by smelling it !
Yes please!
Easy with fresh out of the box poly and nitro finishes. Nitro smells quite distinct. Take a new Gibson and sniff it, you'll see. Like window wash or something.
Maple syrup.
I do recall this happening during a different shootout involving some Les Pauls. They had to stuff Rob's nose because he immediately recognized a Gibson by its scent.
My Gibbo smells of Vanilla, unlike my missus who smells of ......
Give the video editor a raise, this channel would be nothing without his/ her excellent work.
Just bought my 1st ever electric guitar, a Classic vibe Telecaster Custom. Next will be a squire Cv strat, the two color sunburst likely. Starting guitar at 41. Late to the party but least some good value to be had.
I've been at it over 40 years and still don't sound for crap...are you having fun?
@@anthonykueber6098 a week in now. Im uploading a video of day 1 as I write this. Though my face is one of concentration in the video, it hides the joy im feeling. I'm hooked.

@@troyspencer712 I don't know what style of music you like, but once you've learned a 9th chord and how to play Barre Chords it's all over but the shouting....you'll be singing the blues with the best of them.s
There's loads of instructional videos on UA-cam that I didn't have access to back in the day. It makes it easier to learn new things now.
Try some of the Mexican and American made Fenders if you can before your next purchase.
Enjoy.
Good luck with your journey man! Have fun x
The classic vibe took the show. When i think of a strat sound, thats it!
Ngl Rob played a couple notes and it was really sounding like the lick from octopuses garden
Thanks, fellas. These videos always lift my mood. I love seeing two buddies talk guitars.
Classic vibe actually sounded the best to my ears🎸🤟
The day Rory gets fired, I’m unsubscribing. What an absolute genius😂
These classic vibes are phenomenal, I was a bit dubious about the Indonesian made guitars but they are even better than my Chinese made guitars (and they were great) I’ve bought two strats and two telecasters in the last two months, they are definitely keepers, I have been playing for over 50 years and I don’t care about the logo on the neck, I’m glad it says Squier, in years to come these are going to be so collectible, I just can’t believe what I have with these guitars, they sound and play amazing, I just don’t know how they do it but I’m glad they do it, American Strats…. You can keep them! I’ve had so many, the classic vibe is it for me, apologies for the little rant, 🙂🎸 Squier… keep on keeping on 👍
Hi there I've recently bought a classic vibe 50s black Strat simply to modify on a budget as a David Gilmour black strat look alike. I was wondering have you ever upgraded the trem block on these and do you know what size I would need.. I'm a novice at guitar tech so any help would be great. The only mods I'm going to do is the blok and the Gilmour switch other than add a black pickguard so should be easy enough, we'll I'm hoping..
i think you are right, mine is just as good than my american serie strat anniverssary diamond 2006
I think the USA strats are tremendous guitars and it's more the high price that creates a way bigger expectation with these higher end models. I've personally never owned a US strat though just MIM guitars but I'm currently on the lookout for a good deal on one of these squier classic vibe stratocasters although I'm also considering a classic vibe tele.
Just bought a squire 50s classic Vibe brilliant 👍
Awesome video thanks lads. Earlier this month I got a Fender Performer from Andertons as my first learner guitar along with Marshall combi units. Thanks Andertons I love these fender videos
Always love the editing on the videos
Great video, guys! Thank you for all the fun! Just bought a Classic Vibe...
It's great having Rob back. Keep up the great work guys!
I was feeling down until I watched this... man, you dudes lifted my spirits with your mirth and Tom foolery... Thank you!
They had to fire Tom Foolery cause all he did was screw off...
Hey, leave Tom out of it!
This video cost me $2k
:-/
Great video guys, as always. I greatly enjoyed the editing in this as well! Funny!
Just got my fiesta red 50s classic vibe strat today. Straight from fender. I love it. It's spectacular.
You guys really are my favorite UA-cam channel.... keep up the GREAT work!
I just recently got the daphne blue vintera and I gotta say they are such great guitars, the pickups sound great and the neck carve is really comfortable, not to mention the looks of the instrument are phenomenal. The neck on mine is a particularly beautiful example of maple, it has some very light flaming and a small bit of Birdseye in some places
I like your brand of banter. Nice show three years ago.
I am planning to build a 1955-style Strat with a fat U-Neck. After seeing your Video I think I'll use a Classic Vibe as the basis. You probably just saved me a lot of money. Thanks a lot.
just splurged on a 50s classic vibe. Super stoked. Got the white blonde one. Has that semi see-through finish like the older classic vibe tele which I also use to own and miss dearly! It's like being reborn into a strat haha! Im a tele guy, but every guitarist out there needs a strat.
Just got a Vintera 50s Strat in Seafoam Green. Love it. So glad I did.
I've owned both the 50s Classic Vibe and now a 50s Original series strat. There is definitely a difference in finish, quality and sound but it's not huge. The original series guitars are slightly breathier and rounder sounding. The wood used is nicer looking. The paint job is nicer (both are two tone sunburst). The neck edges are nicely rolled, the frets well dressed, the pickguard inside is tidier and the electronics are sturdier. The biggest factor for me is the finish. I'm not careful with my guitars. They don't spend much time in their cases. I'm in 4 bands and I teach music too so I spend thousands of hours a year playing. This means they get dropped and dinged - a lot. Because it's a nitro thin finish, the original series strat wears in an eye-pleasing manner. The classic vibe just starts looking ugly as it wears.
I also have a couple of Mexican Fenders and a 50's original series strat. For me, the neck on the original series is to just perfect.
Daniel Munro I have the Fender Performer as my learner guitar. Super happy with it and MIA
My 50's original is my favorite strat. I love the chunky neck and I prefer the nitro finish for aging as well. My second favorite is the road worn 50's vintera.
This is my favorite show of all time. Rob with the blindfold guessing shit mixed with the hilarious random edits and sounds with funny banter. It's always great.
Glad they went back to pine for the CV. The ones made of pine always seemed to be more resonant.
I bought the Tele Vintera 50s modified and love it. I didn't want to wait on the Classic Vibe and I wanted the soft V neck. I really love a V neck on my guitars. It just fits my hand better. Great job!
The blue Vintera sounds the be(a)st.
I have a Candy Apple Red 60s Vibe 2021 Indonesia , love it!!! Had a pro set up and fret work done and it's awesome!!!
I've been waiting for a classic vibe in LPB for ages, thank god
I would love to see a test where you took three of the same exact guitar model (strats) but have the player think he's going to be playing different models. I believe, in my experience, that there can be significant differences within the same models... Be it variations in the individual pieces of wood, pickups, pots, caps...whatever... which has taught me over the years that there are important elements that you just can't assume based upon a guitars price tag...
The same model can vary in weight by over a few ounces.
This is exactly why people always advise that if it's at all possible to physically try out the exact guitar you intend to purchase. TBF the quality control these days for the most part is excellent so it's less of an issue than it used to be, even the most expensive ranges in the past were hit or miss depending on the individual guitar.
Just bought that exact Fiesta Red 50’s CV Squire and it’s unbelievable. Can’t wait to get the 50’s CV Tele next!
Wow I love how you still get some of fenders history even with the squiers!
My 50's should be here tomorrow! Can't wait!
Every time I click on an Andersons video and Chappers is in it I knock it off immediately. Thank god for Danish Pete!
I’ve got a 50’s vibe strat and I have to say it’s one of the best guitar purchases I’ve ever made, great value for money
Nice video! I would be great to see a tele comparison as well!!
I am so enjoying your videos. Very well made, plus the space you're recording in looks close to what I had planned for my guitaring space :-D
Would you consider making a video showing just how you go about getting such good sound for your videos?
Good fun, thanks guys!
I've been looking at buying a vintera modified and this is like perfect timing thank you
The 60s modified is amazing... The neck is stand out
Squier, Fender USA, Fender Mexico in order of favorite sound.
I’d love one of these!!!
You always make it fun. Cheers guys.
19:16 - the magnificent Rory has given us so many beautiful cuts and edits that the straight jump made me laugh
Love the Classic Vibes.. Cant beat the value
I'm only a couple of minutes in and already I'm thinking about adding a classic vibe strat to my collection!
Did end up getting one?
Original 50's is my main now, love it!
That squier was screaming at the bride pickup like a telecaster sound which is awesome to my taste.
these videos have the best editing.
Fantastic video!! Colud u make the same with teles and with player series as well plz
Andertons, please you all are the only people that could do this! Classic vibes with a nitro finish!!! Even if it costed more people would still buy the heck out em!
And you’d be the only people to have them!!!
Definitely
The neck pickup on the Squire sounds better than all the other guitars
I agree
Definitely!
Please do a Tele video like this one with PETE!
i love every little aspect of the daphne blue vintera. it’s perfect and so versatile. however, i don’t have the money… i have less than one fourth of the cost of the classic vibe💀
Great video! i would like to see another one with teles
Bought a squier classic vibe 50s at my first visit to andertons last month, originally went in for the player in white, came out with both of them, and I've got to say the squier is my number 1. Beautiful look, feel and tone.
It was very enjoyable!
yet again, an outstanding video.
Already got a mint green pickguard waiting for this fiesta red beauty!!!😘
As always, this vid was sweetles! I'd like a pricey one, but instead, that blue, and sounds like the red!
You guys need to do a shoot out of the shapes, like take a shape like single cuts, V's, explorers, and compare different brands takes on them. Like gibson vs. Schecter vs. Ibanez vs. Esp vs. Jackson etc...
Great video lads
This this I've been waiting for!
When Rob first tried each of the three strats, the gold one was tuned down a half step. During the blindfolded comparison the gold one was "magically" the same pitch as the others (A-440). I know they had edits, but it just shows you how honest and great Rob and the Captain are !!! For if the gold strat was still down a half step it would have been cheating ..LOL
He can tell by the necks easily then the tone etc.
The shoutout I've been waiting for....
Hey fellow Andertons lovers!!!! Just a quick aside - I just discovered Joss over on his new GAK channel doing a review on the new Tonemaster amps, and he was playing some totally sick jazz stuff. Very delightful and good to see he's still around. Sounding amazing. If you miss him, stop by and say hi :-)
To all the guitar snobs out there he was playing high end starts and was amazed by the way the squier sounded and thought it played better than the rest .....
I have a Classic Vibe 50s...love the guitar, already saving for a vintera!
That is one of the best gold guitars I've ever seen ... it looks like real gold
Well done again!!!..very informative comparison!...they’re all good and targeted to their specific customers/market share...(for price range)
But here,..you can really let your ears to the selling!...Bravo Chaps!!..✨🎶🎸🥂🍾👏🏾🎉🎈
I would love to see you compare the artists strats. Clapton, Beck, Johnson, etc.
Nice review..love it! that classic vibe has really cool tones for the buck! mid year Santa Claus put a daphne blue hss strat with a baked neck in front of my door..addictive....never seen those on a show..?!?
I already know Classic Vibe is gonna be the best. Atleast value-wise.
Edit: I was right!
Hell yeah, love mine. The electronics are pretty noisy but it's still cheaper to mod/fix them than get the Vintera model. The build quality is astonishing for a Chinese guitar.
I really can't hear big difference between the squier bullet and the classic vibe, am I sick? :S
Really? because of all the squiers the bullet has the most obvious cheap pick ups, not bad ones but sounds cheap.
@@datukaruma1563 I believe the bullets are hotter pickups. The classic vibes are vintage output pickups and thus have more clarity and chime. But through a fender twin or deluxe-like amp, you can come close to having a vintage output with a bullet or affinity. Btw I never had any issues with bullet or affinity pickups, surely enough they're not your wax-potted handmade ones but I'm pretty sure they're good enough to keep a beginner busy given the right amp.
@@skillracoonful well, actually not being wax-potted is more vintage-correct than being wax-potted!
Where is the Laney la30bl that used to be in the background?
That was the reason i watched all these clips!
This video made my day.
love your videos, you should do a one where rob has to listen to other people play the guitars , he cant touch them or see them , just the sound then guess the guitar.
DO A TELE VIDEO! The Classic VIbe 50's and 60's need a video like this!
I love how Chappers just gives it a huge sniff!!!
I love these guys!
Rob you should buy that gold strat and put black pick guard on it
awww man that gold one is a beauty
Lee: "I just can't get the quality of demonstrators these days..." Best line...
So that´s where that spring comes from!!!!
Would be interesting to have the same with basses, I have an old and a new Classic Vibe, it would be interesting to have your thoughts on that!
The squier out takes them all💪
Got a classic vibe strat for £299. Couldn't be happier with it. Just gotta pick it up from the shop tomorrow.
Got to hand it to Fender for updating their Squier line once again. Classic Vibe are top notch guitars, especially at the price point. I actually sold my Classic Series Fender (w Nitro finish), and kept my 70's Classic Vibe Squier Stratocaster instead. Sure the guitars get slightly nicer as the price goes up, but in my opinion, there's not much difference between the Classic Vibe Squires and the MIM Vintera/Classic Series Fender guitars.
24:51 Interesting method to hear how well / clear? the pickups handle the dissonant tone...I'm guessing?
Love the CV but the vintera really got me!🤘😊
Please add some dB meter somewhere in our view range. I was always curious how loud are You guys testing eq. It would be nice to have reference point how loud have to equipment crank to get good sound.
"I always think sometimes," said Lee!! :-)
I have the 50’s classic vibe Candy Apple Red with matching headstock.
I own a 2018 CV 50s and played one of the newer ones when I was pedal shopping and I still like the 2018 better. The 2019 + were brighter almost harsh.
I just love that red squier
Kudos to the hilarious video editor!
you guys need to do another modded guitar chalonge soon, or any challenge, they absolutely rock!
Absolutely hooked on these videos. Hysterical.
I wish they kept the amber lacquer on the kneck on the 50s original it would be perfect!
The Captain at 21:01 trying to make it sound like he was doing a bunch of swapping made me chuckle a little bit.
