A article on Cloudynights had a guy say the need to have a special collimation tool and better directions. The tool needs to come with a straight jacket he said. I thought it was close to accurate. 😅 but my 10 has virtually no coma. Collimation talarances has to be with in 1mm . If any part us off anywhere it won't work. Nothing like a regular Newtonian collimation. Happy chasing. Please let's me know if you try it and what you think. Great videos clear skys happy hunting
Have you tried the blue Ghost collimation. Rather difficult, not found many people have chased it. Very well worth it. GREAT picture I have a lxd75 10in been using as a dob for about a yr getting the hypertune, eqstar belt drive, pillar, nina going. With this collimation I have not needed the corrector.
I can't rule that out. Not the most high end focuser and the camera just attaches by a compression ring, so if I don't get it in perfectly then tilt is definitely possible. One nice thing is I had to rack the focuser out over 1.5cm to get focus so there is less tube in the light path but then that could cause flexure I guess.
Siril processing software (free) has a sensor tilt calculator that can tell you. I'm not sure exactly how accurate it is. Nonetheless, I'm thoroughly enjoying your videos, keep them them coming!
Thanks for the video! I never thought of using a coma corrector on my Schmidt Newtonian.
Well all I can say is it worked for me. YMMV
Well that did the trick & the Iris image came out great to.
Clear skies
Thank you sir. Slowly but surely.
Excellent result, good job...
Thank you!
Looks like a nice bit of kit
Seems so so far

@@charlesburks3988 haven't heard of it. I'll check it out
Could that be sensor tilt in the after pic?

@@Dana_Watson I didn't know that was in Siril. I always thought you had to have APP. Thank you that is good to know. I will be checking it out.
