This bike deserves more attention. MV Augusta's are works of art!
This bike has all the attention... where have you been..? 🤷♂️
But unreasonable
Still i’d take a kawasaki or ducati anyday🤷🏽♂️
If only the price wasn't crazy..
Trepistoni means 3 piston
I was that guy that went to the dealer to buy an mt09 but saw a used 15 brutale 800 with 1k miles. The craftsmanship, build quality, and look just had me wondering why I've never seen one on the road. I kept talking about the mt09 when I was on the showroom floor but kept looking back at the Mv. I ended up starting it it up and I was sold right there lol
I am in Quebec city Canada, there is an authorized MV dealer few miles from my home. I had a 2014 Rivale 800, and I can tell you, there is nothing similar to this on the market. A little like you Chase, it is hard to explain and put words on the experience, but damn... However, I had it for almost a year, and had several issues with. Long story short, a starting gear known problem on 800cc models, so mine broke down 3 times. 3 times I had it towed to the dealer. Last time, it took almost 4 months to get the piece form Italy, and which is always the same version of the same piece, that the mecanic, seller, technical advisr and me, all perfectly know that will eventually break again. So, with my head, because my heart is still broke after almost 3 years, I traded it in for a MT09. The Yam is fun, pieces are cheap and everywhere, but it is nothing compared to the MV. And you know what, I will get an MV someday again, even with my badluck. Because when you turn the key (and it fires up of course 😂) it is something out of this world. Period. Nice work again Chase!!
Salut Mathieu.
For what it's worth, MV has sorted out a lot of their quality control issues over the past two or three years. Most of the mechanical components have a very low failure rate, and the electrical systems are mostly rudimentary enough to be reliable. Parts availability and cost is still an issue though, given the extremely low production volume MV has. I got a 2019 Dragster RR Pirelli and, although I don't ride it very often, it's been mostly reliable. Like any Italian car, you have to keep it on a battery tender. Where I live, the closest MV dealers to me are ~150-200 miles away but I don't consider this to be a problem. I own several cars and bikes, though, and am now accustomed to transporting vehicles long distances for service.
Something that's largely true across other Italian motor companies, and especially of MV, is that there is a certain je ne sais quoi that can't really be described and has to be experienced.
@@tylenol_jones : No, they haven't. Basically everything you say is wrong.
@Mathieu Beaudoin : You had not bad luck with your bike, unfortunately; they're just like that. And that 4 months delay, it's intentional strategy from MV for getting your bike out of the 2yr factory warranty ASAP.
@@bigcheese781 lol nah but you do you lil dude. compared to the mv of 4 or 5 years ago, there's almost no comparison. the improvement in build quality is significant.
Italian DNA is a thing, and it most certainly brings a level of character to the rider that nothing else will. It's similar to the feeling of driving an Italian car, and doesn't matter if it's low end or higher end- from Alfa Romeo, to Ferrari, to Lamborghini, you can't go wrong. I truly enjoyed your very honest review good sir.
This is my dream expensive motorcycle, so glad you got this opportunity and decided to share it with us!
Bro same
Same! Beautiful machine.
How much is it used? It has an auto shifter ? He said auto down shifter but it seems like he wasn’t shifting up either
@@Fee.1 The resale on these bike isn't that good so you can get a mint pre-owned one for quite a decent discount.
@@Fee.1 they have a quickshifter that works with up and down shifts without using the clutch.
Thought I'd add my 2 cents as an Owner of multiple MV Agusta's. The rear brake sucks becase the master is right against the engine heating the brake fluid. The rear brake must be bled more often then necessary. MV's are notorious for not working if your battery is less than perfect and can actually damage the bike if the voltage drop is too high. The front brake calipers are ok but I've replaced all mine with Brembo mono-blocks (Standard on my F4RR). The triples also come alive at higher rev's where they meant to be ridden, ESP with a FM Projects pipe on the triple. Finally for people who live in countries where fuel has high ethanol the tank needs to be properly coated and sealed as the tank is made of plastic.
Thanks for all first hand knowledge man!
David^2 the real MVP
@@chaseontwowheels It's a pleasure. Nice to see someone enjoy the it and not complain about the bike. Most people complain about reliability but honestly nearly all issues on the MV's can be traced back to a crap battery. Even the notorious Sprag clutch issue. Making it even worse are people who let the MV sit for months on end without riding it only to damage it while trying to crank it with a bad battery. I'm on 35K KM's on my F3 675 without any issues.
I have watched more than 14 videos from you, Chase. I have never felt you so excited like you riding this bike. The cost matches the joy of riding.
Been riding for 30 yrs and had bikes ranging from 95 Fireblade to Panigale S to RSV4 to KTM 690, and absolutely love my MV Dragster! Have the exact model you test rode.
From a production standpoint, this is one of the best motorcycle videos that I have seen. it is not often that we get to see a bike from its side will riding. When it comes to the FZ09 and MT09, both those bikes have 115HP, the MV has 140HP...big difference I would say. The non-RR version has 125hp, maybe you are thinking of that one.
The sound of this bike is just... 🤤🤤🤤
And i think it is one of the most beautiful bikes around!
Nice to watch the vídeo.
Keep up the great work Chase, cheers from Portugal!
Thanks ✌️
Portugal, CARALHO!!!

I had to... it's obligatory!
Ya gotta hear the cbx 1050. It sounds better than an f1 car
To be fair that was an aftermarket pipe setup. Can tell as it is missing the huge collector box at the bottom. Mine has the std pipes and I still thinks it sounds wicked at wide open thou!
I don't know that I've EVER watched a 30 minutes review all the way through, but I did on this one. I just purchased my 1st MVA, a 2019 Dragster 800RR Pirelli Edition 55/200 in white/blue... it took me 19 years of dreaming to FINALLY get one. I've had 5 Ducatis and I just never fell in love on the rode, but on track, the 916 SPS is the BOMB. Ducs just aren't great street bikes. THIS MVA is BY FAR the best ever streetbike I've EVER experienced!!! And I've been on street since 1987 and track since 1992. It'll be my "Forever Bike" hopefully?! ❤
I have 2019 MV AGUSTA dragster 800rr so freakin in love with it..im from Bay Area Ca. You dont see MV dragster regularly on the road, such a rare bike.
Modesto area, Im about 75 miles from you...Mt Hamilton?...The Junction?...I ride there about two times a year.
So, I had a 2014 MV Agusta Brutale 800. Same motor as you were riding and slightly different trim. I loved the machine. I did a VLOG review of my time with the bike. As you noted, level of finish and detail was excellent, maybe the best I've seen. Neutral was always lurking between 1st & 2nd. Not a big deal but it was there. I had one major issue with mine, soon after buying a fork seal failed. MV Agusta at that time and maybe still does not have a USA parts warehouse. It took the better part of a month for the replacement seal to come from the factory in Italy. After that, no issues in a further 3k plus miles of riding.
Probably the most beautiful motorcycle I've ever owned. NEVER saw another one on the road with the exception of seeing one parked in LaJolla a few years back.
Your comments are spot on, and give a good impression of the machine.
Not for newcomers, nor for an only bike. But if you're experienced, can afford it, and have at least one other machine, you need to own one at some point in your life.
Best review I have seen of a Dragster RR! I own the same 2018 model in yellow/black. At 6000 miles I have had to replace the rear blinker with same unit you show, and rear brake rebuilt and bled. Exhaust valve also stuck: easy removal and fitted with electronic bypass unit (very common issue on MVs). Otherwise the bike is totally reliable. Agree on outdated instrument cluster, but it works well enough. The bike fits shorter riders like myself. Windblast is reduced with angled oval headlight and small screen. The fun factor is just insane, the MV definitely has character. Note that MV is currently working on expanding their USA dealer network, and these bikes can be found for pretty good prices (usually leftover previous year models). I love my Dragster RR!! Molto bene! Veloce! Oh and your test bike has an aftermarket exhaust, and I have never had shifting issues. MV manual says to never use QS for first to second or second down to first.
Nice review ! I tried the Brutale 800RR the other day and it blew my mind off, I could'nt get the smile off my face for several days - simply hysterical fun - and the sound of it is out of this world :-) MV Agusta is top of the line !
The best review of this bike. I'm getting my 2019 Dragster RC limited edition this week. Super excited
am happy cause , how happy you are in this video , it feels like you are enjoying your dream bike , love u man
I remember seeing this video, and then buying it a couple of weeks after. Having dreamt of the bike for a year or so before, it was so exciting finally being able to own one.
It was such a fun bike to ride, and sooo much power. Sadly it didn't live up to the expectations of quality I had. I've heard lots of people say that it's an Italian bike, so there's always going to be problems. But I ended up maybe riding it for a month or two in the season, and the rest it was parked at the mechanics shop while it had lots of problems.
First the pressure cap on the radiator stopped working. Then the exhaust valve system malfunctioned the 2nd time. After all this the bike started leaking oil..
I've heard other being super happy with their Dragsters, but sadly I didn't get what I was hoping for with it.
However, it's still going to be my favourite bike ever, and it's also top 3 prettiest bikes on the market. I don't regret owning one, but I'm not sure if I'll be buying one in the near future again..
You kept saying this needs to be a proper review but actually just watching you enjoy it speaks volumes. It is a beautiful exotic bike.
Mad props to the cameraman for those killer shots! And a very informative review from u man! Carry on!
Here in India we're in a lockdown and you Chase are my saviour! You're releasing videos regularly! I really look up to you the way you film and construct your videos! I have a lot to learn from you!
This has to be the best footage ever shot, Well done man.... Im a big fan.... You guys ride safe out there 🤙🏻
This is literally one of my favourite motorcycles thank you for this video!!
I love the shots of you riding the bike. It feels like I'm watching a Hollywood action film. It's what makes you the best motorcycle UA-camr, in my opinion. Keep up the great work, Chase!
This bike right here is my dream, best looking motorcycle of all time, in my opinion. Great video!
It's the best motorcycle sound i've heard in my life !!!
Thank you for bringing attention to MV. I have a 2019 Brutale 800 and I’m absolutely in love. People don’t understand until you swing a leg over
The sound and look of the bike is soooo amazing!!!!!!
Great video, I've been smiling all the way through :) ...so I can imagine the huge grin you must have had riding this absolutely beautiful and gorgeous motorcycle. What a machine! - MV Agusta bellissimo!!
Piece of ART👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 well done MV
So glad you got to do this review you gave them the it’s just Deserves and you did it so graciously that is the bike it is everything anybody would want and even on a rainy day you can sit in the garage and drool great review
So happy for you bro. I almost bought a Dragster RR a couple of weeks ago but ended up with an MV F3 800 for my channel instead.
Most likely the best thing you will ever own, the happiness in this guys voice says it all.
Hey Chase! I own a MV Agusta F3 675!! I am from South Africa. It is amazing. The Italians just know how to build a bike. MV’s are bikes with head turning looks. I always get people with bikes 3-4 times the value of my bike come over and stare at my bike.
I bought my 2016 FJ-09 thanks to your review. My new baby is going to be this one, so I am glad to hear that you liked it as well
these are the greatest "first ride"/review videos on youtube. great work!
Thank you chase for giving the exhaust a great audio...
i use the brutale to commute, it is awesome, so easy, and power when you want it! the wind is really not bad. The rear brake is a known issue with these models, they can fix it, but it goes back to **** in no time.
I ride a Triumph and Triumph Detroit is a Triumph/MV Agusta dealer. I've sat on that bike. It is gloriously exotic looking and just a work of art. I've yet to ride one.
I saw a Dragster 800rr along with a Brutale 1000rr, Turismo Veloce 800, and Super Veloce in person at Barber Motorsports Park. They are GORGEOUS! The video does not do these bikes justice!
My dad had one exactly the same as the one in your vid and i can say if you fell send it, easily pops a wheelie with just power its a incredibly fun bike to ride and even the newer ones can be driven without the use of a clutch
By far the best review on this monster👌🏾👌🏾
Yes , 2013 Brutale 675 ABS, Love it. I am in AZ. I bought as you stated because no one else had one in my area. I am short (5'4"), and it one of the few bikes that aren't ridiculously tall for me.
I own one of those (2015 red/white model). Amazing bike, have done 28000km on mine and love it to death. But you have to stop shortshifting Chase 😉 Top power is at 13300 rpm, it really starts pulling over 10000.
Love the sound and speed of that crouch rocket :-) That R Blade is going to one hell of bike if it's modelled on that MV
seriously one of my favorite looking bikes!
Here in Charlotte, NC there is a dealer: Motorcycles of Charlotte. I test rode a 2012 Brutale 1090 RR, which is an inline four, but let me tell you......it ain't at all like a Japanese inline 4. Torque is almost instant and its available in every gear; in their I4's the timing chain is in the center of the engine and with a counter-rotating crank makes for a new-kind of linear power experience. Oh and by the way.....MV Agusta has the third most MOTO GP championships with 37 ridden mostly by Giacomo Agostini, behind Yamaha and Honda, while not having raced since the mid 1970's.Making them the most successful European motorcycle racing company, so when you buy one of these, the heritage is unmatched and you're flying with the eagles! Great review and no your emotions being expressed wasn't unprofessional, if a bike doesn't distract you like that, then it ain't worth ridin! Cheers from the Queen City!
When I first seen one of these I knew I wanted it lol...keep pushing content G I been watching for years
The short tail looks fantastic!
MV Agusta and Aprilia honestly are my favorite brands. MV Agusta makes some of the most gorgeous bike out there and Aprilia is just awesome.
Got an MV Agusta F3 Rosso Oro and that thing is an experience to ride! I also have an R1 and while the R1 is more like a "daily driver" type Sportbike this one is a straight up diva of a motorcycle! It's the sexiest bike to ever be built imho (and not only my opinion haha). Your whole experience with it was pretty spot on with the impressions. I had something similar going on when I got the bike! Even the kickstand details haha (The F3 has the same kickstand I believe)
Ugh, it sounds so good. Such a wicked bike.
Had 1 for a few years and absolutely loved it. it's very easy to ride but if you open the throttle and you hit 7000 to 8000revs it turns into a demon so fast. I used to take it on holiday's through Europe and even after doing a whole day and 1000+km on the highway still not tired. On my Ducati before I couldn't do that. Best Bike I ever had and still regret that I sold it. Moved to another country and couldn't bring it with me.
Such a nice ride. Shifting feels like butter.
Beautiful/badass bike for sure. Im really wanting a streetfighter-ish bike. Ive owned a few power cruisers now I want a performer ! Great vid MV sounds so good
Legit trophy motorcycle.
Like artwork on two wheels.
I was thinking the same thing Chase. The CBR1000 would look killer like this.
oh men.. that sounds of the engine is so glorious!!! i want this one, please...
have to admit the best review i have seen on this channel and i want a tripple fast and auto shift and everything is cool on that Augusta 800 i have been in tears laughin at this review was the best ever.
I'm a returning subscriber and have to say well done to you and the guys Chase. Your production quality is truly on a different level compared to others. Keep up the great work. Cheers from Melbourne. Also nice interview with Teapot One.
Italian bikes are truly different, I have an '18 Tuono V4 1100 and its amazing!
Yes! Been waiting for a vid that didn't say garage or floor in the title!
Those Cinematics were just insane
Your videos have great production!
Saw a black and green one riding today. What a beautiful bike.
This was always on my dream garage list.
I’m a mv agusta fan, i have a f3 800 2019 in France, you can see some Mv on the roads but not a lot like other brands.
hahahah super, j'attent de voir la prochaine F4. j'adore MV mais je fais que de la piste
I did a review on this bike back in 2018 and loved it, to me it was a hooligan machine and the motor was surprisingly peppy and quick. Test out an F3 next, same motor, obviously a different chassis. I think you'll dig the F3 as well.
I own a 2014 Brutale. It is wild. So twitchy. I live in New Hampshire and there is a dealer in Massachusetts. Still have never seen another Mv on the road. The RR is my dream bike.
It looks as good as it sounds. Very nice bike.
Looks like my triple pipes !! :) You will forget about the Honda's after riding the MV !
The lack of MV Agusta dealers is one of the main reason I'd never buy one. So I'll just stick with Ducati for my Italian bike needs
Or Aprilia
Where I live, MV and aprilia are sold by the same company, so both are rare, but so is ducati so yea.
I feel your excitement man! haha Great Video!!
Yes yes yes I have been waiting for the mv please do the f3!!!!
Awesome. Love that bike 😍
I thought the fz09 was my favorite bike ever looks wise and it’s very much my dream bike. But this thing takes the cake. This bike is so awsome and so much better looking.
I had one Dragster RR 2017, bought new, and just like u said, its so difficult to express how this bike rides. It has a certain character that appeal, the power, the harder u push the smoother is the engine and clutch. All MV 800 bikes from 2016 and below has common issues with starter gear, thin clutch basket (prone to break) and unreliable quickshifter. If somebody wants to own one, u must be willing to spend abit of ur time and money to take care of the bike. May need to order some parts on ur own to fasten the repair process. Anyway, i traded my Dragster RR with another MV, Turismo Veloce 800 Lusso, a sport tourer for long distance trips. Love the MVs but as I said, u may need to put some efforts on ur own to take care of ur problems. The Dragster RR is the best = Looks + Sound + QS + Engine
Omg I’m gonna cry that sound is beautiful I’m a fan of gixxers but that looks amazing
Yeah buddy!!! I dropped a coment on a first ride years ago saying try a MVA. Now look at you! Would love to see a F3, F4, Multistrada and Rivale 😉
MV Agusta is motorcycle art!
It is very reliable, service intervals are the same as any other bike.
I rode F4 here in Montenegro (Europe) and they are pretty rare everywhere you go.
I change oil and filters on every 2000 miles and never had any problems on any motorcycle - italian or japanese.
That’s one of my favorite bikes 😎
Awesome review!!! So awesome.
You have an Agusta dealership in Marietta, GA btw. I have never had any interest in getting a sports bike until today when I saw this!!!
Welcome to the world of sadomasochism 👍🏻👍🏻
Was just gonna let him know that. Saw on the MV site that there is one in Marietta.
Very nice graphics, always impressive
Just bought one yesterday, a new 2019 from my local dealer in Buffalo NY. I like the naked bikes, I also have an '18 Aprilia Tuono so that will be the long haul with it's cruise control and the MV for more fun riding ;-)
I have the same exact bike (2018) except mine is a different color. The bike has 140HP and weighs 360lbs with the rear fender eliminator. The one you tested has an aftermarket exhaust. That's why it sounds different than the ones you saw online. Mine has 3 modes, normal, rain, and sport. When it's in sport mode, you can virtually give yourself whiplash! The front brake is awesome and the rear brake sucks! I used to live in New Jersey and that's where I purchased it. The bike is super fast! I"m 5'6" so it's perfect size for me. If you have any more questions, let me know. PS. I traded in a 2017 Triumph Street Triple RS for it and both bikes are very close in my mind. Love your videos so keep up the great work!
I am 5'9" .. just worried if the bike would look small ...
nice work just bought the 2017 one
im in love with it omg
So glad you did this video. I've been interested in the MV Agusta Brutale or Dragster 800s for a while now, 2020 models though. If and when I upgrade my '19 Ninja 650, I would go with a brand new Dragster or Brutale 800 Rosso.. They are like $12 or 13k I believe. I couldn't afford the high echelon MV's
Yes, the Japanese bikes seem to give more for the money, but the MV Agusta's are like work of art. It's all about that engine internals and the materials they put into their machines, they are far better than the Japanese bikes.
I had a 2014 brutale 800, besides really shitty radiator hose clamps everything was really reliable. I only had one real mechanical issue and the warranty handled it 100%. The best street bike I've ever owned for sure.
You look very good on it!
this bike is a gem
Awesome video brother keep it up and on the crew2 video game they have the same bike on it
Best sounding motorcycle, I NEED one
Ooo that has the perfect amount of black and red
I loved that highway pull BRAH! That shit was spicy. 🙌🏽
I currently have a 2013 MV AGUSTA F3 and I LOVE IT. Im also in they US
SICK bike
Semplicemente Stupenda! Un saluto dall'ITALIA.
I made the mistake of taking one of these for a demo ride a few years back, the dealer said if you take this for a ride you will come back and buy one no salesman BS but you'll want one.
Needless to say he was right and i sold my Repsol CBR1000RR and bought a brand new 2019 dragster RR last year and absolutely love it 👌 never to be sold but always to be appreciated.
