Great to see and English Review of a honest owner as not much on the Art of a Naked Italian Niche Bike … just purchased it’s brother the Brutale 800RR as you say what a machine .. love it and like yourself would like to expand the exhaust noise as only really enjoy it chorus when it’s on full induction like a bat out of a tunnel, then you hear that amazing noise and pops while grinning ear to ear..Can’t wait to get used to all its settings as such a confident bike that can scare the pants when it hits 98 in second with a blessing from its next gear your glad for the damper and TC as it pulls so hard for a small bike! Enjoy and let’s hope your exhaust will influence me to another expensive mod !
Same as you fella, ever since I saw the 2015 model I fell in love with those Kineo wheels, but no dealer in Philippines.... Then in 2018.... Motostrada took on a dealership. I took delivery of an RR SCS last September n it is indeed awesome... Still no fuel gauge but the dash lights up bright red with a low fuel warning and an approx fuel reserve distance which increases if you throttle right back. Sport mode is a little snatchy in traffic, rain mode it's fine, race mode the throttle is ultra sensitive and it's really snatchy in traffic. I think it's a compromise as the cams are fairly larey and to get 140 bhp from an 800 it's the top performer by far in its class and only 15 short on the 4 cylinder 1000cc Street fighter. The navigation is pretty useless as the app map service has poor coverage for Philippines unlike Google maps or Waze. Awesome machine, I hope you get the niggles sussed and enjoy the ride, stay safe.
I have the same model (white). Love it but not cheap to own. Sprag clutch, battery draining ECU (when stored). SO glad you did this video and hope that you do more….thank you! BTW I love my MV what’s not to love…it’s a keeper.
Great bike! I can relate, I have a 2016 f3 675 and love it. The air box roar at full noise is insane For the around town snatchiness try the custom map with gas sensitivity set in either normal or rain and engine braking in normal but all other settings in sport or fast. It helps! Also check to see if your bike has had the clutch basket updated. It’s a service bulletin and MV will replace free of charge even out of warranty. I’ve also fitted a manual cam chain tensioner. It helps with the rattles and is piece of mind your not going to jump a tooth on the cams and put a valve through a piston!
2.8 seconds to 60 mph is fast. I like the bars. It should have a fuel gauge that works. How difficult is that? Lousy turning circle. Snatchy round town I don't like. I am glad you are happy with it.
Very late to the game but I just got mine... 2015, in white, only 2200km on it, started out with the sprag gear issue before I drove it off the dealer lot and took 4 months to get the replacement LOL But I love it! And totally agree about the headlight, thats the only thing I'm not fond of (but its bearable..for now)! And exact same opinion on the throttle, I kept rev bombing people unintentionally in traffic at first because its so sensitive!
Having an mt09, riding modes and being twitchy on the throttle sounds very familiar. Even being priced like it is i still want one, fancy the yollow/gold colour. Next year mabey
Very interesting bike, its certainly evident how chuffed you are with it. Just one observation though, maybe it was the light conditions at the time but the rear indicators seem very dismal.
Mark, as you being an MV owner. My question is, since I have an MT09 SP from 2021, would you buy a newer MV Augusta Dragster RR if you could? I mean, I've allways been in love with the Dragster, but never really had the balls to buy one, since I could get the "same" in an MT09 SP for far less money. With your video im leaning very much towards: "Yes you should definitely get one" BECAUSE it's an MV Augusta Dragster RR!
and that right there is the reason. Yes I could have had the same ish from the MT, but it would be a Yamaha and not an MV. I don't think anything comes close to the looks of the MV and it has its Italian sensors that can 'fail' but every time I get on it, it feels awesome and feel like if I twist it too quickly, it will kick me in the arse. However, it is easily controlled in the right setting, and very much not in the wrong setting lol.
@@motorsforthemasses exactly my thought, now a days we have the Ducati Monster + (sp) KTM 890 Duke R and MT09 SP - No one mentions MV Augusta in that equation, none of them have the design, the estetics, the "je ne seqoui" as an MV Augusta - I mean I love my MT09 SP, but I use it as a means of simpel transport - I had a Honda CB 650 R then a BMW NineT before it, that had soul! I have found out, that I want that wow effect (for myself) the quick-shift up and down, cruise control and three cylinder engine and comfort - which means KTM... Hmmm no wow effect, no three cylinder engine, not comfortable... Ducati... Hmm no cruise control, no three cylinder engine, but comfy.. MT09 SP, no wow effect, but comfy = MV Augusta, wow effect check, cruise control check, comfy check! I mean it's an MV Augusta! 😳
Looks awesome, but these issues sound like you got it from wish... Sorry, but a MT09 would NEVER do such silly things and yet, it won't look like that.
I always knew MV had 'issues' but overlooked them as I half-expected them....as of yet, still no sensor as the Italians sent the wrong one...and still waiting for a new fork to arrive.
@@motorsforthemasses Well, imagine now being in a shitty place like Bulgaria, where I'm located... that's why I got a 2020 Kawasaki Z1000. Amazing style, but reliable af.
Where as you have a bike that Mary Poppins designed and would ride, with an aftermarket exhaust that is still quieter than my standard exhaust. LOL....Change that bike mate!! He he...couldn't resist.
Awesome bike, very jealous of you Mark. So glad you have at last got the bike of your dreams.
You certainly will have lots of fun riding it.

I have changed the exhaust now...video on the channel, just waiting for leg to heal so I do a ride past.

Nice drone shots, not easy to do when riding 😅
MVs should really be more popular, they are absolutely fantastic.
They are priced very high, which most people cannot afford...otherwise lovely bikes.

Yes, aftermarket ones that came with the bike tailtidy. I will most likely change them.
I'm a beginner, would this work as a first bike? Would keeping it in rain mode keep the power more controllable?
@@rexnflex1469 it's a bit of a brave first bike. I wouldn't recommend it yet as a first bike.
@@motorsforthemasses Thanks for the reply, I was hoping rain mode would have made the bike manageable. Thanks again for the fast reply.

oui sans hésité
Brutale Dragster more hardcore then the easy to ride Mt09✊🔥
HI, welcome to ownership of Motorcycle Art, where are you planning to have it serviced ?
Cheers DW
At my own dealership
If Ferrari made a bike it would called MV Agusta...
Love the bike. but don't have the money for it. my Benelli have to do. don't tell her 🤣
LOVELEY BIKE M. ENJOY IT. I OWN AN MV TOO. BLOODY BRILLIANT. 👍
Does this really have quickshift up and down? I only thought it had quickshift up only??
Quickshift up in all modes, down only in sport and race mode
It's not a 2015 bike though right? Was that a play on wording or something...it's a 22 plate.
No, it's a private plate. M22 The bike is a 2015, it was a 65 plate.

Great bike but has & will continue to have issues. It’s in its nature.
What bike doesn't? My 2021 Triumph gave me problems already..
You see what you have there is a bike that looks like Dwayne Johnson but sound like Mary Poppins.......Change that exhaust boss!!

The aar aar, the pirate motorcycle
Should have cleaned it
