Absolutely stunning looking bike that. And I really like the format as well, TMF. It's great to have a chat with someone about their bike and then a ride on it.
I can’t imagine how much cleaning that thing requires, nice summer Sunday ride in the dry. Also nice to see a younger subscriber on the channel nice guy great bike 👍🏻
Had the pleasure of borrowing one of those a short while ago. Put my K1300s in for a service and they gave me a grey one as a loaner. Very nippy, handles very nicely. Fantastic motor, quick shifter works fantastic, up and down. It won't get anymore top end than 244 km but the K1300s would have no chance until the MV hit the limiter.
On a recent ride out in Dubai a young woman had the very same bike, I made a comment , that's not a motorcycle , conversation went very quiet, until I finish with , that's a work of art. It truly is a beautiful machine. She could ride as well when we got into the twisty mountain road ( only one we have in Dubai) she kept up withthe guys on the sports bikes, passed a few as well, used all of the tyre too. No chicken strips. Merry Christmas TMF
thank you for posting. It is a beautiful bike. When he took the side shot of you riding it, the bike looked so small and yet sooo muscular. May he enjoy it for many years.
Hi Mate from Sydney, Australia. I have an MV Agusta 800 RR with an HP Corse exhaust system and the baffles removed. I just love the snarl from the triple, combined with the pops and burbles on the overrun. If I figure out how to do a decent video I will put it up.
Hi Graham, I'm also in Sydney and been looking at MV's 800 RR & their 1090 Brutale. What have been your experiences with reliability? Any issues? Cheers mate.
Mine has been ok but I make sure that it stays on the trickle charger. The MV dealer at Parramatta is good. I've had no real issues at all but I also have very few km on the clock.
From a mechanical perspective one of the Achilles heels in the triple is the sprag clutch. They can fail. Hence the trickle charging as the battery needs to be top notch. The only other downside is the seat. It's like concrete. I have few UA-cam vids on my channel if you want to see my bike.
I own one just like it, but with a QD exhaust. Had it since 2016 and absolutely love it. Fantastic engine. Aftermarket exhaust is a must have, sounds incredible! It really gets going at around 10.000 rpm. High revving is the way to go on this one 😁
@@santiagolopez-aparicio9059 If the bike is properly maintained I consider it very reliable, but just make sure that it has been properly serviced (very important). I would stick to the RR models, they have double valve springs and a stronger clutch basket among other things. F3’s are known to have dropped valves (single springs). There has also been a recall on the clutch basket (not RR-versions). Sprag clutch is a common problem. MV upgraded the sprag and the software to shorten the starting sequence. This makes the sprag last longer. A lithium battery is highly recommended, which really helps lessen wear on the sprag clutch. My current sprag (the upgraded one) is starting to act up a little and needs replacing. It has lasted for about 20.000km with a lithium battery, so I really don’t think it is a big deal. The price of the sprag is also heavily discounted by MV (100euros + VAT). A couple of hours of work, so if you don’t do it yourself it will be more expensive of course. Original sprag with original battery lasted about 5000km, so make sure it is upgraded and install lithium battery if not already done. There are some bushings on the rear sprocket that wears out rather quick, but they cost almost nothing and are very easy to replace. If you skip replacing them, however, you can damage the hub eventually and that is very expensive. Check for play on the rear sprocket. There should be little play but not much. I replace them every 5000km or so. You don’t want play were you can hear metal to metal. The bushings are there to prevent that. It is possible to upgrade the sprocket carrier to a newer one that carries longer lasting bushings. The quickshifter is a little bit sensitive to water, but you will be fine as long as you don’t drench it in water during washing. If you do it will dry up in a couple of days/weeks and start working again. No big deal. I cover it up when washing the bike. Key is to buy one that is very well serviced. I would rather buy one that is regurarly ridden and properly maintained than a low mileage garage queen. Very important to check valve clearance and lubricate the hub and other things on schedule. I have 35.000km on mine now. No problems except sprag clutch every 20.000km or so, but I change oil very often and keep a rigourus service routine. They are a dream to ride, and they sound incredible. Well worth the love and care they demand. If you find one with any questionmarks regarding service history, keep looking. I am sure you will find a nice one.

Love those wheels. The look of 'em, the fact they're tubeless. Probably a real pain in the neck to clean, especially being white... Great looking machine.
Phenomenally beautiful bike; it is almost *too* pretty. But not quite too pretty; just function and form done so well. What a fun video - this is a great series TMF. Total fun!!

I looked at getting an MV Augusta Brutale America (#24 of 50), but in watching reviews and talking to the dealer, they said the MV is not one to have if it is your only bike due to hard to get parts from Italy and they need more maintenance. So I stuck with my first choice of the '18 Street Triple R
I'm in that exact conundrum right now. I so want a Brutale (Dragster or Regular), after a test ride, but the place I test rode it just decided to quit carrying MV's for difficulty of parts etc. It's such a shame, now the "local" dealer for me is in Miami, which is 4.5 hours away. I'm considering 2019 Super Duke R, but I'm worried I'll always miss that sound I feel in love with on the Brutale. It would be my second bike, so there's that I guess.

Looks a beauty and the triple engine note is spin tingling ! - It was this or a S1KR when I went looking for a new ride for 2019 and the BMW won out because of the better suspension.
Yes, bought in June with 200miles on. The pervious owner just thought it felt rough to ride and didn't get it checked. took it to mv knowing there would be this issue. Unfortunately with these hand made bikes each part has to be re-ordered or made. This took a few months to get sorted due the shops error's and not the bikes fault. @@TheMissendenFlyer ohhhhh now that does surprise me! But being a Street Triple owner pleases me as well, have not ridden anywhere near the amount of bikes you have but not found one yet that I would change the Street for!

If I ride it I'd likely buy it but a bike like that, well, "Tourismo" or not I can't imagine taking it far from home.

that is one very good looking bike, the exhaust is awesome........must be in your top 5 bikes you have ridden?????
Actually no - I like the look of it but it's not a "top 5" as far as the ride is concerned.....I actually preferred my Street Triple on the road...
@@TheMissendenFlyer ohhhhh now that does surprise me! But being a Street Triple owner pleases me as well, have not ridden anywhere near the amount of bikes you have but not found one yet that I would change the Street for!
I saw an MV Turismo Veloce Lusso at a bike sho and was struck by it's beauty. I haven't ridden one yet but a local dealer emailed me to let me know one had come in. I'm afraid to go see it. If I ride it I'd likely buy it but a bike like that, well, "Tourismo" or not I can't imagine taking it far from home.
Wouldn’t mind seeing a review of that lawnmower, is it a 32 or 40 rotek
