Just picked mine up today & assembly was cake. I then looked up videos & found yours. Definitely reaffirmed my belief this was the set up I needed, as our feet get cold AF with the heaters I was using prior. Thanks and enjoy!
Just bought mine right now can’t wait to get it assembled and up and going. I’ve seen it at Costco but I never bothered. I was gonna go with the propane thank God I didn’t. I did some research and I found your video and it helped me out a lot. Cheers.🍻
Just got one last Sunday from Costco in Canada. 349.99 what a great little heater!!! And congrats on having a utube video lol!!!! Cheers from ontario Canada my friend!!!
Bought one yesterday. I'm glad to see in your description that it inludes a cover - the Even Embers version of this product does NOT include a cover and they sell it for an additional $50.
Can you please tell how hot does it get low and high? I was wondering if we could use this under our carport. But not sure how hot it gets in top. Also, can you feel the heat at your feet as well?
Not a lot of smoke once it gets rolling, make sure you have a foot or so clearance. Some folks in the comments have taken off one of the chimney pipes to make it shorter. I haven't done that and can't recommend it but it's info lol
Thanks for posting this. Do you feel it gives you the same vibe/experience as sitting around a firepit type fire (except the marshmallow option). Can’t decide if I want to get smoked out with logs and an open flame or this, which seems much less hassle (not a lumber Jack) so I’d use it more.
Can it hold up in the wind, and how did the paint hold up? I saw some videos where the paint was peeling. I picked up two patio heaters for Black Friday but I'm debating taking them back and getting two of these.
Thanks for the video, I was waiting for someone to post a video on this Costco heater. I bought one and really like it!! However I have found that the only way to get good heat is to manual feed the hopper to get the flame higher. Does anyone else do that? FYI: I have been using Fuel Pellets from Tractor Supply. I would not recommend smoker pellets. Thanks again!
Check that the grate is seated properly. Mine was burning lower than usual a few weeks ago and I couldn't figure out why until I jossled the grate and it fell back into it's level spot. Fixed it right up. Also I wasn't recommending the smoker pellets, but the Costco bbq pellets aren't too expensive and did have a lovely smell when lighting it up. It burns too hot and fast to get any real benefit to use anything other than the fuel pellets from tractor supply like you mentioned. Cheers!
@@bsaxman78 wow, pricing for the wood pellets is great where you are. Central Florida here, and the 40 pound bags are $20 at Tractor Supply and $17 at Lowe’s (bought a bag there yesterday).
The dimensions are listed on Costco.com but I think it's just under 7'. There's a heat deflector so the majority of the exhaust is deflected to the side. But just like I told my buddy, go spend $299 for the short evn embr chiminea version over at tractor supply of you're concerned about a low ceiling.
Yea, seems to work fine. I use I out on my deck, but I store it under the house overhang to keep it out of the rain. Would not fit with both tubes on. I tried it without the middle one and haven’t had any issues.
note to prospective buyers: Read the Reviews... these will stain your ceiling over time with soot, the closer the faster/more it will stain. The Glass might come broken in the box and is under warranty for replacement through the manufacturer, and the chimney stack and fasteners aren't the strudiest this is good if your within 2-6ft. but especially good when paired with a fire pit like solo stove in front and this behind you that said it obviously can get the job done for $2-270 compared to others that start at $400 and up with bigger hoppers to go with their price tags.
Package says 3-4 hours and it seems like it will to even longer. I ran it for 3 hours yesterday and it's barely halfway empty. Your mileage may vary but I think 4 hours is a good conservative estimate
I noticed a bag of cooking pellets? Those things are quite expensive compared to home heating pellets. One is specifically for cooking and the other for heat. You're throwing away money if you're using cooking pellets. I'm not sure if you know that?
Aware. Got bags at Lowes and tractor supply for much cheaper. Costco cooking pellets was for the test and at 12 dollars I didn't feel bad. Plus the initial smoke smells wonderful
@bsaxman78 hopefully people realize when considering this unit and/or using it that there's options. Some may not be aware there are heating pellets. That being said... Just curious your thoughts. I'm in Michigan and have a cedar gazebo on the patio with open walls. Do you think this thing would produce enough heat to actually sit near it outside under the gazebo? Assuming there's no wind to kill the heat.
Yeah, I've used it all winter so far on an open deck. Good heat up to 6-8' away from the front. Not so much from the back of the unit. Under a roof just make sure you have a foot or so clearance from the top of the capped stack. It's not bad up there but I'm sure you'd hate to have discoloration or anything
Thanks for the video. My wife saw it at Costco and mentioned it, so your timing is perfect.
Just bought one today at Costco. It’s on sale for $199. Before Christmas it was $249. Can’t wait to assemble and use on our deck.
I just grabbed one as well!
Ours smokes horribly 😢 We have a covered but open cabana and I’m struggling with smoke.
Ours does fine. We have it on our outside deck. No issues.
How's holding up?

How much smoke is released? Do you think it would be fine under an outdoor overhang?
Seems like a goid possible heat source. Thank you for sharing. Everyone stay safe, warm, happy and healthy. From Henrico County Virginia

quick tip put a light coat dish soap on the glass so when you clean it will be a breeze to clean.

Woah Woah, calm down. No need to be so angry about it. 😜😂

Yeah it's a much better value!
Thanks I saw it yesterday at cosco. I am going to grab one
Hope you like it!
What $249.00 wow what a steal that was nice that would keep your cabin nice and toasty 🙂🙂🙂 enjoy your stove.
Thank you for the product recommendation
Trying mine for the first time on Xmas day - excited!
Thanks for the video I saw it yesterday at Costco now after for video I think I'm going back to get one thx again
Thanks for the video + quick review! Super helpful in us making a decision about buying.
This heater is amazing! I use mine almost everyday

Thanks for the video, I was waiting for someone to review this.👍
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you Chad. I’m going to buy one today.
Hope you enjoy it!
It looks like a nice heater but how do you ignite the pellets? Is it difficult to start?
I just add a little bit of lighter fluid once I fill the bottom tray...
Thanks for posting this!
No problem!
That’s a cool little stove
Could you have it under a covered patio area?
Santa brought me one today!
Thanks for making this
Well done 👍🏻
Thank you!
Great video. I bought one that didn’t come with a manual. Are you willing to share yours?
Great video! How much smoke is released? If this was under an overhang would that be an issue?

@@bsaxman78 thanks, good information
There’s now a $50 rebate. I got mine today for $199!!!
It did help! I’m convinced, thanks
How fast does it go through pellets though?
Awesome man!! Thanks for posting - was looking for exactly this - just ordered it from Costco!
Enjoy!
Excellent video thank you

It's a nice experience. Not the same as an open flame but in a good way I think
Can it hold up in the wind, and how did the paint hold up? I saw some videos where the paint was peeling. I picked up two patio heaters for Black Friday but I'm debating taking them back and getting two of these.
Wind is fine, paint is good so far but it's only been a few weeks and I use the cover

How tall from ground to top of stack does it measure
Thanks for the post..... Wondering if it needs power or if it has a igniter on batteries ?
No ignition at all. Use a fire starter, torch, lighter fluid etc.
Thanks for the video
Heating pellets are a lot cheaper than BBQ pellets, but hey it’s your money.
At that burn rate, it must go through pellets very quickly, yes?
4 hours or so for the 18lb hopper. Not bad for less than $3 worth of fuel
@@bsaxman78 at $20 for a 40 pound bag, that calculates to $9. But still very cool, I almost bought one the other day. Thanks for sharing! 👍🏻
Not $20. Lowes and tractor supply have 40lb bags of pellets for $4-6.

I got one and just left off the center section of tubing. It’s about 5’ without it.
Still has a good draft?

Good review, thanks.
Any damage to your wood/composit deck?
None. It gets warm but hot hot. 95° on the surface after a few hours running with a thermal gun.
I just got it. It’s awesome
Thank you!

What pellets are you using?
Can I burn wood in this ?
does it smell like BBQ? same pellets they use for pellet grills right?
Doesn't smell like cooked meat but smells great after the burnoff
Use home heating pellets, they are a fraction of the cost!
Hello how long does a full hoper of pellets last would you say. Thx
Package says 3-4 hours and it seems like it will to even longer. I ran it for 3 hours yesterday and it's barely halfway empty. Your mileage may vary but I think 4 hours is a good conservative estimate
@bsaxman78 thank you
Cool
The flames don't go up inside the hopper.
Does it need power?
No, gravity fed hopper, no electricity or moving parts.

Y the glass does not get broken
I'm doing my best to avoid throwing rocks and hammers at it?
Why would it get broken? Dumb comment
How would this do for roasting marshmallows?
Not great, when you open the door the draft is not good and it won't work as efficiently. Grab the table top solo stove for that one!
Would this be ok inside a garage or is it putting out to lo much smoke?
You do not want wood combustion in a closed room.
Ah, no. 😂
Nope it will turn the ceiling black. I had mine under a patio and it was not good. I liked it but gad to return it.
Looks like the one from tractor supply
Yep. Just cheaper and better from what I can tell
Burns 18 pounds of pellets in 4 hours don’t recommend cooking pellets. Tractor supply sells 40 pounds of none cooking pellets for 7$
Absolutely, just used the cooking ones since I had a bag. Smelled amazing but isn't worth it compared to the 4-7 dollar bags of the cheap stuff
Wow! $$ to burn, out doors ! !
Pellets are alot cheaper then propane.
