Language Challenge Bengali Vs Persian
Вставка
- Опубліковано 14 жов 2024
- Today we try the language challenge Bangali (Bangla) and Persian (Farsi) Part 2! We came across some similarities between the two languages. This maybe due to the fact that both Bengali and Persian are classified as Indo-European languages. Persian is mainly spoken in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan while Bengali is primarily spoken in Bangladesh and some parts of India.

Amir Tavassoly Make a new video with a Turkish guy.
Amir Tavassoly .Make Persian vs hindi
I'm recording that video with him tomorrow! It will be uploaded on Thursday :)
Amir jaan! Thanx for your entertaining videos. I just wanted to inform you about a little mistake which you have made now in two different videos. You say that "Leevan" means cup which is almost true but not totally. It actually means glas. Meanwhile "Fenjaan/Fenjoon" means cup.
I would also appreciate it if you wrote the equivalent word in the other language on the screen as well.
For instance when you write on the screen "komola" and the meaning of it in English you could write "portaghaal" under it at the same time and vice versa.
Ghorbunet.
Sarboland va piruz baashi khoshtip!
/Kiarash
I mean of course with transcription so everyone can read ;)
Loved it! Do part-3 asap! 👌👌👌

LOOL same ripppp 😂😂😂
6:56 that was a nice clue for " Kan (ear)
Here ( hEAR) to Here ( hEAR ) 😂👏
Loved it!! Now waiting for Kazi to make videos.
Sefeed has a very similar bengali name "safed'....it also means white..
"Parande" also synonymous with bengali word "parinda" means bird.....these all reveal that bengali and persian are very similar.....
Love from West Bengal....
Soumalya Kundu Birds are called pakhi in bengali!!!
Soumalya Kundu you are confusing hindi with Bengali, "shada" means white," pakhi" means bird. parinda and safed are hindi words
Pushyamitra Shunga parinda and safed aren't hindi words, they're urdu words which directly came from persian.
В восточно -персидских диалектах - таджикский и фарси-кабули эти слова звучать как "safed", "paranda". Если иранец произносил их как в Афганистане, Узбекистане и Таджикистане, то люди с Индийского субконтинента бистро поняли бы, так как в Индии имел влияние именно восточные диалекты персидского языка. Удачи!
Been waiting for ur videos..keep up the good work!!!
Thank you! 😊
OMG your video is too hilarious 😂 I'm dying I can't stop loughing what a video 😂😂😂

Sorry about your loss
I'll pray for him ♡
Thank you, that's very nice of you!
I speak Swedish and Roma, and Roma and Persian is similar when counting (I’ve heard) in Roma we count 1-5 ( yek, duj, trin, shtar, panj)
i speak Urdu and i guessed all of these words
Hahaha woowww nicee!
Many Indic languages in areas with significant mulim populations tend have a bunch of persian (as well as arabic/turkic) derived loanwords.
The alternative/older vocab (more used by non-muslim population of the same linguistic culture) will be very different, but will funnily have a lot more similarities with old persian.
I speak french, Bengali,English,Hindi and a bit of Spanish
English-I'm also fan of Juventas
Bangla- আমিও জুভেন্টাস এর সাপোটার
Fahim Muntasir what is ur instagram name ?
I'm a Bangladeshi & I guessed most of them correctly before any hint.
Parandey = Pakhi (bird) guessed it correct.
Sefeed = Sada (white) guessed it coreectly.
Kaghaz = kagoj (paper) knew it.
Piaz = Piaj (onion) lol
(edit : added Sefeed as I forgot to put it b4)
Wowww that's actually so awesome! Thanks for watching the full video and playing along :)

GHASH = GRASS
То же на персидском -"'ghesh"
In Bangla language, there are so many Persian(Farsi) words. We use these words every day. Now it's hard separate these words from Bangla language.💙
Thumbs up for you! I speak bengali.
Thank you! Much love 😊💚
👍
1. Beng. Dorjo = Russian Dverca ("small door")
2. Pers. Leevan - Rus. naLIVANiye means "pouring", naLIVANiye chaia v chashku = "pouring of tea into the cup"
3. Pers. Parande = Rus. Pernataia ("bird"): you see it's the same only different vowels are missing: paran_ta per_nata
also, Sanskrit has Pataaka for "bird" = Ukrainian Ptakh "bird"
4. Juta - it seems to be reduced version of Ukrainian Choboty "boots",
also Rus. Sapogi / SAPOZHki "boots"= Pers. Kaf(u)sh "shoes"
5. Kan - we don't have but
Ukrainian Vukho / VUSHko = Pers. Gush "ear"
6. Pers. Keleed = Rus. Kliuch or Kluch (with soft L) "key"
7. Beng. Kolom = Rus, Karandash "pencil", you see it's like Karam Dash (2 words)
8. Pers. Sefeed = Rus. Svetl_ or Svetlyi "light (color), fair"
Also Pers. Ham-Sayeh looks similar to Rus. So-Sied "neighbour", but it's a bit complicated
Thank you for this! :)
Shwet in hindi means white.
Также с персидского: "Дар"- дверь, "сандали" - сапоги; "кли"/ "клид"/"клит"- ключ, "сфед"/"сафед"- светлый, белый Удачи!
WOW really??? Thanks!!!! Very excited - felt like it was for me :)
FROM BANGLADESH
I speak BENGALI,URDU,HINDI,PERSIAN,SWEDISH,ENGLISH.
seems like amir is pretty intelligent!! 😎
In Garmsiri/Bandari language spoken in Hormuzgan province in Southeast Iran:
gelās گِلاس = cup
jūtī جوتی = shoes
kalam کَلَم = pen
Im your 4707th sub

Kolom is actually an Arabic word. It's a loan word in Bengali
Farhan Anzum Hoque Sadid. In bengali kolom means pen.
Shihab Khan, hey! I am bangladeshi so I would obviously know kolom means pen.

Great video Amir. Do Persian vs Russian.
See my comment above: most of these words or stems exist in Russian/Ukrainian ;)
Tashakhor for making this video 😆
Love from Bangladesh ❤️
2:29 pedar means father/dad not door lol (ik its an editing mistake)
omf i love these vids
great Video , love u from Bangladesh 🇧🇩
Piaz or pyaaz is onion in Hindi and Punjabi as well ! :D
I thought Kazi speaks Hindi/Urdu as well because 'parinde' (plural) = birds in those languages 😂😂
well there are different ways of saying bird but parinde is one of them, mostly used in songs and poetry.
I have an idea:
livan = Persian "cup" (Russian na-livaniye "pouring")
liven' = Russian "rain shower"
in contrary:
vRshti = Sanskrit "rain shower"
barish = Urdu "rain"
borshch (or borscht) = "Ukrainian beetroot soup"
If we suppose that Slavic (or maybe Scythian/Sarmatian) and Indo-Iranian stems for "cup" and "rain shower" are vice versa we would have:
Borscht = "something which is being poured into cups" (i.e. "liquid food")
WOW
Yes, i've realized Bengali words are often in closer shape to Russian ones than Hindi/Urdu. Thank you
Great vid again bro
love from Bangladesh. :)
