@@cc_the_rebel They've been a bit better recently and I'm glad. This video is pretty good about it, all things considered, and the "Musician Friends Try Playing Each Other's Instruments" video, they had their violist friend Nicole in the video and there was not a single joke, which was pretty unexpected.
They also said in a recent video that they made a special dedicated to violists in which they played violas or something like that. I've heard violists say that they laugh with the viola jokes, and I think it's because they know that they are essential in orchestras and that their instrument is basically a more powerful violin.

Also I didn't just mean the Viola part with embarrassment, I meant the whole part, including the piano chair one! It was really funny ☺️ But I agree that even though Brett used to play the viola, he's not as good as a professional. The professional viola player was so nice to him even when he asked to switch instruments haha! Sorry if my words weren't very clear 😅

That's why I think it works well with Eddy giving the instructions and Brett following them, he's really good in social situations. Eddy is more shy and introvert, so I'm not sure that doing it the other way around would work as well...

Kidding aside......Brett and the Viola players definitely had some 'chemistry'. INTERESTING!
After amost a decade of playing viola, I stopped playing at the beginning of this year for mental health reasons, and hearing the violist play made me tear up. I haven't played viola or even really heard a violist in so long, and that was really special.
A quartet is alive with a viola and a trio needs a viola to be the bass of the bass. Viola and piano can stir up many emotions because the wavelength is most suitable for our ears. Cheers✌️

Violas thrive in duets and chamber music honestly. We’re here to make other people sound good. Of course that relies on the violas being good in the first place. But like as long as the group is all at the same level, even when it’s not a “professional” skill level, violas really add to the sound.
Man, the violin voice combination was beautiful, cool of Brett to take the blame cause without context the singer tends to carry the burden of sounding off tune. The “maybe I’ll redeem myself” response is such a great attitude.

To be able to play music with another person and sound in synch while sight reading a song you are not familiar blows my mind.
