These words ring true……” To understand, first you must see, the TT”…. If you have never stood on a grass bank, and have a 1000cc motorcycle pass you 3 feet away , at 175mph , then you haven’t witnessed true reason we love the TT races….it cannot be explained, it has to experienced…..I’ve experienced 54 TT races , and it gets me on day one, every time….👍😉🇮🇲👌
Great to see you take the time to tell this story after your history with motorcycle racing and now moving to cars. Will always appreciate your tips on body position. Wrist and elbow etc. Cut 3 seconds a lap for me. Thanks again.
Not only did 50 000 turn up for Joey Dunlo's funeral. It was also during the "marching season", which is where in the Northern Irish catholics and protestants would get into fights. This was before the Good Friday agreement and peace between the different groups. But for the funeral, they didn't fight! This is not somethig police, military, politicians, priests or regular people managed to achieve at the time. I highly recommend wathcing the movie "Road - the Dunlop Dynasty", which is a documentary about the Dunlop family.
Great video, you kept me hooked, love your emotion in how you speak about the history and legends while weaving in your thoughts. And now im committed to going to see TT live next year
Amazing video, but. The isle of man TT is not the only official tourist trophy, The Assen TT in the netherlands is the only other one in the world alowed to use this name.
If you could get in the Delorean and go back in time to 1950 and show some racers video from modern events, they would be in disbelief. Not only from the speeds, but the advances in bikes.
Alberto, I can reccomend watching Road ,a film about the Dunlop dynasty.. I can say none of the riders are mad, if anything they seem the opposite when you meet them. They are calculated risk takers no different to yourself, its just their risk level is way above the average bike racer. My bikes are being raced on the roads again next year, if we get to the Manx you should come along, it will blow your mind..

Thought you were back on a bike, I'll come back
Hey Alberto. The TT doesn't run in adverse weather conditions anymore.
riders on men/bsb riders/irish road racers, still ride multiple classes, hickmann, dunlop etc... they ride the 600 and the 1000 on the same day.
What you failed to mention was the other 2 dunlops who died whilst road racing , Robert and his son william ,.RIP.

Mindblowing how they can complete even one lap while on the limit 🤯
