I knew this beautiful lady and her family when she on the charts. To keep going after the ups and downs she went through speaks of courage & the will to never give up. Keep it up Lorrain!
Oh what a sweet voice and very sweet and Special girl folks it just don't get any better we as Canadians should be very proud that Myrna graced many stages and gave us that God given talent. I could listen to this song all day long done by Myrna and also my favourite singer Gentlemen Jim Reeves what a classic song.
I saw it somewhere else on these postings that she is the best female country musician that Canada has produced. She surely is one heck of a guitar player; that is some picking there. She writes really good songs; too bad she is not better recognized across the border, because there are some real gems in her catalog.
Great version of the song made famous by another Canadian , Hank Snow. Very good band. I believe that "steeler" Rob Anderson played on "Nashville Now". Myrna is a true classic country singer. As good as any of the well known female singers.
Found this singer while looking for a good version of this song. She was great! Doesn't have a lot on Amazon since she wasn't promoted much in the U.S. Beautiful lady with a great voice and a lot of class,.
Great video! My Mother sang with Myrna Lorrie when she (when they were both in their teens) was in her mid-teens. I believe they both sang locally on the radio on a program called 'School of the Air' and unbeknownst to my Mother my Father was also featured on the same radio program. My Grandmother sent a 75 record of my Mom's singing to a show called Country Hoedown in Toronto and she was asked to audition, she went, auditioned and hightailed it right back to Port Arthur, not wanting that as a career, but both my parents performed throughout their youth into young adulthood. I really enjoyed this song! UA-cam is such a great place to store memories for so many people!
Canadian talent,,such a great voice ,,a regular on number 1west,,great shows,,them where the good days, sit back relaxing watching her singing,,I wonder if she ,ever did songs ,,from Loretta or Tammy, I would like too see them video's
What a sweetheart and she can sure pick a guitar and what more can I say she's a beautiful Gal and the wardrobe is so classy . The first time I sang at an amateur show when I was 14yrs. Old I sang the song ' I'll be lonesome when your gone ' .
One of our Precious Dad's favorite singers.. Canada's Sweetheart 🇨🇦 with the beautiful eyes The Geourgeous Myrna Lorrie........ I love your song 'Your Special Day we dedicated to our precious Mom even though she passed away and I just turned 76yrs old on June 9th so i have been listening to your beautiful voice for a long time and enjoying it. Message coming from Manitoba Canada listening to the great music on June 10th 20/24
Myrna Lorrie was so gorgeous in the early days of Canadian television. I actually saw her at Toronto airport in 1973 waiting for a flight back to Thunder Bay. I was too shy back then to come over and say hello. Pity. дай БOЖE!

This wonderful song was written by Bill Trader and first recorded by Hank Snow in 1953. The version of Myrna Lorrie is such as sweet, but I love the version of Elvis Presley from 1959 most, which is one of my favorite songs of him.
What a beautiful gal Myrna Lorrie is and a great singer and guitar 🎸 player. I sang one of your songs 'I'll be lonesome when your gone' at an Amateur show when I was 15yrs.old and I am now 74yrs. old ...
I've always loved this song because it hits so close to home. No offense to Hank or Elvis, but it sounds so much better sung by a woman. Especially one with a voice like hers. :-) I love the fiddle and steel guitar too.
Outstanding Performance ❤

Now, this girl Myrna Lorrie is a helluva singer on Fool Such As I. She nailed that song. True country for sure.

Myrna is great. Along with the late Jim reeves.
Written and first made famous by Canadian Hank Snow.

I agree with that, Mick!

Don't forget Anne Murray. I consider her none better.
@@richardpope2193 Anne is a singer, not a musician, Myrna plays and writes music.

Lately I've had to listen to Canadian and Norwegian singers to hear good country music. What the hell?
The modern country music is not country music.
True and sad that new country in the U.S. A. is horribe nowadays
I keep watching her eyes
and I like 'laugh lines' too.
David has already covered what needed saying & I completely agree. Baby, that voice is pure country gold .... Let it go where it knows how. 🌹🌹
綺麗な声ですな〜

I disagree with that guitar comment buddy!
