@CarPro1993 Do you know, why the VW Lupo was crashtested in the US? As far as I am aware that model was never imported to the north American market. And why especially the 3L?
It's important to note that this test was performed in Canada, where there are various changes to their emission and MVSS regulations. Until I can find some solid evidence, I can't 100% confirm this, but I was told by someone that Transport Canada was performing preliminary testing on European-market diesel cars because they were attempting to establish a list of eligible imports (newer than 15 years) that met a certain fuel economy standard. Here's a list of some other vehicles that TC imported specifically for testing. 2001 Suzuki Alto 2001 Audi A2 1.4 TDi 2001 Honda Turbo Z 2000 Renault Megane 2001 Suzuki Wagon R 2001 Honda Vamos 2000 MCC Smart 2001 Mercedes-Benz A 170

I wouldn't say genius, but I just try to be helpful and knowledgeable on the topic of automotive safety.
Thanks for watching all these years!

THAT was all my pleasure 😉
The Lupo was sold in North America?
It was not, it was imported to Canada for a certain type of research testing. See my reply to andreasausmuc X. for a more detailed explanation.
Nah, it's an incredibly intelligent vehicle with good performances and a great fuel economy, americans wouldn't be interested in it
