- I had some awesome final days in Cape Town. There was good wind and some decent waves. In between my sessions I also enjoyed hiking up Lion's Head together with my friend Louis.
I hope you enjoy this edit!

I want to start trying riding strapless as well. Your videos make me really want to try it! Any recommendation which board I should consider? I ride mostly on the North Sea in Holland. I would like to try some wave and a lil bit of freestyle
Thank you so much! I’m sure you’ll love strapless riding! Board wise I would definitely recommend the Duotone Whip. Such an incredible board, the best one I’ve ridden. Super easy and comfortable to ride, but also insanely capable for freestyle and small and bigger waves. I even use it in up to 4m waves, just because I am so comfortable on it. Where in Holland do you ride?
@@vicovondersee Awesome, thanks for the advice. I had my eye on the Whip for a while, I will go to a shop to have a look. I ride mostly in the South of Holland. Kijkduin, Noordwijk, Hoek van Holland
Hey at 1:45 - are you doing a backroll and grabbing with your back hand? I can only do it grabbing with my front hand and then loop on the landing. Your way seems better for high winds.
Yes, you’re right. This way you can loop the kite with your front hand which should be easier. Still I struggle with the landings.. it’s important to grab the board as late as possible, really push it up into the wind and keep pulling the kite. Then when grabbing the board the kite should be far back and you can loop the kite above your head for a soft landing. Hope this helps!
@@vicovondersee interesting, I'm surprised it doesn't work without the loop! I'm gonna give it a whirl where I'll leave the kite higher up ie. 11:30 or so and then try without the loop (its possible this may only work in higher winds though).
@@lennyjamz4389 you're right. You do need quite a bit of height and airtime in order to complete the loop before landing. That's why stronger winds make it easier but also scarier.. good luck!
Sehr schönes Video…🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾😎

Well, the answer to the question is - yes!
Absolutely right! 😋
Nice video, have you considered adding English subtitles?
Hey, thank you! Glad you mention that, I was wondering whether there was some interest in it. Next time I’ll definitely think of it!
