I bought the other videos about a year ago. The instructional content is extremely good and explains exactly where to put the kite and place your feet. It also goes through what not to do. The practising on flat water is also a great tip for your weak side. Pretty much everything this guys says is correct... However, an Antipodean voice would sound better he hee!

Thanks Brad. You may be the first person to request an Auzzie voice over - maybe you can help with translating the script or should I just lose the last few syllables on random words and chuck an "o" on the end of the last word in a sentence? ;-)

Not long now. The first videos are encoding and everything is being setup on the website and apps. The first videos are the beginner techniques and lots of background and theory but my hope is to now be able to keep releasing videos every few weeks for everything that builds on this. What are you trying to learn at the moment?

I have a Naish 55cm mast, medium aspect Foil. Interested in knowing kite position when doing a jibe. I tried the powered curve, like on a surf board from your video on surf board curves.... it sorto works but only with no/little back pressure and standing up straight. I mean, I am sending the kite from a very low position aggressively and stomping on the front foot.. But, I am a bit lazy and mostly just stay on natural stance and go toe side. Foiling does seem much easier while riding toe side! Biggest problem I have is going too fast and not being able to dump speed by heading downwind.... unstable! I think learning to figure 8 turn a few times is essential to avoid getting too high upwind. Important thing for beginners is a floaty board as it is better for self rescue.. Thanks In Advance...

There are lots of ways to do the carving turn. If you are confident downlooping then actually bring the kite high and then doing a high downloop as you carve is the most consistent way to carve. It allows you to stay more upright over the foil and you don't need to angle the board much to get it carve around. If you start with the kite low you will need way more speed and the extra power will mean you need to have you pitch control (nose to tail weight balance) spot on and roll/angle the board more to handle the power. I'll definitely be releasing lots of videos about the various forms of carving turns, toeside riding and the foot change - so much to learn!

Podríais hacer los vídeos con opción de subtítulos en castellano para quienes no saben inglés....

Hi Francisco. Subtitle is something I would like to add but as always its finding the time (and money to get the translations done properly so they make sense with the kite specific phrases). I do hope to add these are some point in the future.

Does anyone knows what spots are those?

Most of the wave videos are shot in Cape Town (specifically Blouberg, Big Bay, Langebaan and Paternoster) but also got some footage at Margaret River and Melbourne.
