Doc shows the new Soil PH tester on the lawn and farm fields. Then he applies lime to raise the PH on the putting green. Lime applications can be done any time, but heavy applications should be done on the lawn in the off season. - Навчання та стиль
Good stuff Doc! Just bought a tester. Can’t beat $20 for something that works
Always keeping me motivated. Thanks Doc.
I wish there was some sort of document that spelled all of this information out by the month. Hahahaah. Love your videos
Awsome vid, totally helps!
dannggg a 3 ph?! That’s crazy! I learned from Kstate that kansas is typically a 9 ish if I remember right! How is your guys’ soil so low?! Love how earth works!
Thanks Doc
Ohh… plunger aeration looks awesome! Wonder where you order that bad boy
Thanks for the video! Any thoughts on The Anderson's NutraLime DG?
Now Doc thanks for this video... Would you use this instead of the traditional(lab) soil test from now on?
Thanks Doc. Did you broad spread that lime on the putting green?
Just bought several bags last night for my backyard Bermuda. At 5.8 currently
What do dandelions put back in the soil/indicate what's missing?
Not seeing a link to the PH tester.
Love the videos, thank you!

Great video Doc! What do you recommend for lowering pH? I did a soil test about a month ago and it came back at about 8.2. Thanks!
Elemental Sulfur
Hi Doc , I don’t really have a lawn, it is what it is 1.67 acres. My concern is cactus ! Lots of it !
What can I do to get rid of it ?
Is that reading the air temperature or the soil temperature?
Would the PH affect new grass growth..I'm in Houston TX with Bermuda
I didn’t see the ph tester link? Also have you used the Anderson’s Nutralime Op Hi-mag lime?
Does it say how wet it is besides simply wet or dry?
How’s the beach house lawn?
So wait, you have 3.1 and it’s still green? So when I have a 5.9 on my lawn I don’t need to add lime? I did a soil test and ended up with 5.9 Ph granted done in March. Recommendation was to add lime. Comments.?
ph meter is currently unavailable
Man...the tester is already unavailable...unbelievable how much we trust in your recommendations😆
Doc, is there any particular reason why you didn't get your lime from The Andersons?
Lime is cheap and heavy. It's best to buy in bulk from a store.
any chance the low pH on the putting green is due to the fertilizer added before planting? Most N in fertilizer can lower pH, I know you added some prior to planting, and the blades look pretty small so there is probably still a large residual in the soil... maybe an NPK test is in order to see if excess N is causing the low pH?
name of tester
Link to PH tester
Doc, I didn’t see the link to the ph meter on your page.
