Most of the people I know on social security literally live off nothing. It's literally nothing. I take care of old people and the ones still in their homes, are barely making it just like the rest of us and these people are supposed to be enjoying their retirement. They worked their whole lives and paid into that program. Yet some get less than $1000 a month to live off of so im just confused where they think they can find wasteful spending and "cuts". Threatening to touch social security is a deal breaker for me. Giving money to Ukraine and not defending the border is a deal breaker to me. I wish RFK had more people behind him cuz he's the only one talking my language I feel like. I do like some of what both Biden and Trump say. However they also say things I just can not ignore. With everything going on we need a peace maker, a problem solver, a world class mediator that can go to congress and not back down when it come to our American citizens and veterans. They allowed the 1% to spend crazy and now we are here. We shouldn't be paying for their bad spending habits. They are billionaires, they can start paying their debts and stop being bailed out. We have too many problems like the lead pipes in Flynt, Michigan poisoning people still! We have so so many people on the streets just literally sick with hopelessness because we know what our parents and grand parents had. We do not have that and with how hard everyone is working, it's insane! Back then people could afford a home, a car, food and literally vacations. They didn't have to choose whether to feed their kids or heat them or house them. People are angry at all these failed policies of sending american businesses across seas for more profits because workers cost less over there. They changed laws to screw us and benefit them and all but almost eradicating our middle class. Until we somehow fix these problems it's not gonna get better. They just keep printing money. So both Trump and Biden I don't think will do what's 100% necessary. Idk maybe I am wrong but both had some good stuff to say. It's just certain things are very important me. Do you think we can hold off the politicians from messing with social security if we did get Trump? Idk. Its scary times no matter who wins. Sorry for the long comment lol

So you don't know the scam? People who come here illegal are getting SS and Medicaid so Seniors who worked hard cannot get a fair allocation or raise. But if they even give them $3,000 a month it still wouldn't help because the cost of living is through the roof. People who are crashing the border are getting $2,200 a month, free housing, free phone, free transportation, free meals and medical care. How can a country survive this? We are doom as a country. Socialism does not work.
Once these liberals are in we are doom. Our debt has climbed to over $30 trillion wasting money on war and illegals while citizens are living on the streets. Why can't people use their brains.

I hope something changes soon as a new corporation took over our apartment complex and they raised our rent $500 a month. The reasoning is they want to get "competitive" with the other rentals in our city...we can barely make it go on SS and SSDI as it is, now what will we do? Everything keeps going up except our monthly payment, which President Biden campaigned on, and said we'd get $200 a month raise...please, we need some kind of raise, I'm so worried and scared.

10:30 pm Georgia . I am concerned with social security . I have been working since I was 13 years old . I am m now 67. I do not get enough to last a month with everything is going ip in cost . Plus's every time we get a cost of living raise in SS. They cut our food stamps. I am now only getting $24.00 a month and I do not have any assets to speak of except my car which is paid off and is only worth about 3000.00. So why do others get a lot more than me. I know people who have a lot of assets and even own their home and get full benefits .

Social Security is not an entitlement it is FICA federal insurance contributions Act !! The Corporations and Wealthy do not want to match the 6.7 u contribute and the employer matches that!!! The employers do not want to match is the problem!! !!! If they remove the cap and sunset the Bush and Trump tax cuts we would not be here
