It's not as good as dayz, the surroundings look better, but the movement and shooting is far behind dayz unfortunately.

@@alanhock5760 the surroundings look better because its in the new engine and thats what reforger is all about just showing off the engine and modding nothing more or less. some animations are taken strait from standalone like the vaulting animation. as it says on the store page, "Reforger is the first step towards Arma 4 and a versatile, creative, fully-moddable platform for the future"

Please dont call it Dayz2 i would say dayz 2 is SA there have been many many mods that revolve around dayz but give it a different experience from vinilla to Epoch,Overwatch,Overpoch,Origins,Exile,Standalone,RyanZombies and prob more no one ever referred to them as dayz 2. Its just another mod with the dayz gameplay.

If they do this, I’d like to see them add at least one more map, WAY MORE base building options, and expand the amount of weapons and clothing.
Plenty of modded maps but vanilla maps are hard to come by lol. Miss the old amra2 mod days, a shit ton of maps with amazing building,weapon and vehicle mods

@@jamess.931ah I still remember being able to fake people out with the hatchet hitting a wall making people think its gunshots. Or being able to spawn with a bicycle kit 😢
base building kills this game. Its supposed to be a raw survival adventure, now all the community servers are x100 loot
@@camointhecity base building is what makes the game fun. The root of the game is about starting from nothing, working your way up to something, only to lose it all and start fresh. Base building takes that blueprint and multiplies it and adds a lot of options for doing new things. Yeah, the boosted loot servers are annoying and there’s plenty of community servers that have just died because of the unraidable bases, but the most fun I’ve had in the game revolves around raiding or defending bases.
Arma reforger has so much potential. It's so sad everyone giving it such a bad rep
Because it’s runs like crap. The movement is absolutely terrible and the main game itself has had barely any improvement since release. Stop being such an arma fanboy

All DayZ needs is an actual gaming company too improve this game. There are so many things they need to do to make this game better not just the graphics. I don’t want any company to take the game and start making it in their own image they need to keep it how it is but make the tweets and improvements it needs

That was why I quit three years ago. It just got boring. Same old thing daily. It was pretty much the same on new maps as well.

So many people saying the game is unfinished meanwhile it got more feature and identity than many other games on the market so called AAA.
I’ve already played 600hrs and each game still feel unique and different. There’s no other PvPvE survival openworld that has managed to create such a feeling and experience, and the I met so many people from all around the world, it’s amazing.
I want more game like this that doesn’t take players by the hand, and let you experience such a cool world.
Fact, dayz is the best open world survival period ..

Runs way better than arma 3. The engine is much more optomized
@@tylerdavis4101 yeah but with the OG DayZ the real abomination was the server-side code and its abject lack of optimization. I was an MS exchange admin at the time and to run a DayZ server needed more compute and memory than an HA exchange stack supporting 2000+ users. Just having enough intelligence to INSTALL DayZ really helped in the early days though, it really excluded a lot of simpletons from the game.

Imo night time should have more nocturnal animals and maybe night specific events like a squad of zombie soldiers wandering to encourage people to play at night

More scopes. Vsd not having a zoom able scope is a shame. Even if there was just different scope “mounts” like they have on PC to allow you to use hunting scope on a Mosin would be better than what we have now. More build-a-guns for console like a DMR that only comes in parts that you have to collect around the map and assemble. Crafting recipes to turn ingredients into stews or soups etc that maybe give a small stamina buff similar to Epi pens. Helicopters.

I'm glad day z is getting more people playing. Dayz is a great game with so much potential to grow.
A friend and I started playing this together recently. We both suck, but we're slowly learning new things and it's honestly a breath of fresh air to play even though there's so much ahead of us to learn

Would help game immersion if they worked on improving sound effects for bullet impact, like hitting concrete walls, the wood of trees or doors, and the metal of vehicles. Also better shattering of windows when you shoot through them.
Good sound quality really stimulates the intensity of a good shootout 👌🏾 like in the film Public Enemies.
I would love to see a USA, South Louisiana map with swamps, the gators and boats to travel the swamps with and of course land to run with cabins/camps to live in. All of that but with a NewOrleans/ Bayou theme
In my opinion what would make it PERFECT are mad max style vehicles that my character can climb around on while painted white

a cool idea is to take a knife or scissors and use them to make gloves fingerless being able to reload, fire and, tranfer things quicker

I like Dayz because it reminds me of Arma 2, I don't want the boring and same graphics of today, it would be enough to improve the geometry of the standalone models a little, and it would be perfect
The funny thing about this people don’t realize is that this will most likely become the new dayz soon enough.
Game was originally an arma 2 mod and became a standalone way later, people also forget how terribly boring the first couple years of standalone was.
Majority of players preferred arma 3 dayz at the time because there was much more content.
So seeing arma reforger at this stage already is pretty awesome.
I would like that idea but i feel like the older engines allow more people to play for performace reasons the new one look pretty at the expense of performance n quality at least that how newer gsmes feel

Clothes: hoodies(with functional hoods), original clothes for original dayz, a more unique/realistic building style(instead of the classic having to build full walls just to block up one small window u should be able to use the plank to be able to position and place over the window with 2nails) more realistic gun features, better animations for food and water, more aggressive zombies(zombies on the shore shouldn’t be as strong as zombies on a military base or at a police station or a hospital. Zombies should have the unique traits and attributes depending on where they are), smarter zombies, dynamic seasons, ai companions, etc

@@RealFishPlug ye similar to Rusts monuments would work well, but while on Rust if Dayz could produce a random map generator aswell for wipe days. It would be a forever fresh game
DayZ needs that extra engine and less lag for console
Lag is not the issue with DayZ, it is from the errors stemming from the poor software communication between the graphics engine and the physics engine. DayZ one will never be fixed in that aspect because it would require a total rebuild.
@usarmysniper682006 this is true glad someone else knows this and even the bugs aren't so bad but that they've been exploited by hackers they literally just made it harder for official legit players in an attempt to make hacking harder for hackers ultimately weakening the games legit player base all together its just full of hackers now on console its depressing

@@xnight3232I haven't played Rust, but I think it would be fun if you could use horses as a way to move around and/or eat them if needed. The game could also include a system where you have to take care of the horses by feeding and giving them water. This would add more depth and complexity to the game.

The ONLY thing bothering me about this new update is the stances and positioning, constantly holding weapons up and never relaxed doesnt feel like dayz
Hopefully, they will add a player list and allow console players to access the map and create a team.
