And that doesn’t even begin to mention the cost of living, IF one can actually find a place, in Berkeley, where housing is only guaranteed for freshman year.
Yes, Berkeley and UCLA both have extremely low admission rates, in part because everyone from California applies there. UCLA, for example, is the single most applied to college in the nation. Berkeley is #3, and UC San Diego is #2.
