35- All you need to know about the new Siemens HMI, Unified Basic Panel (UBP)

Siemens recently released a new series of HMI panels called Unified Basic Panels (UBP). UBPs are low-cost and more resource-restricted HMI panels that belong to the Unified ecosystem, which we explored in one of our previous videos. If you are seeking a low-cost HMI but want to take advantage of new features such as scripting in JavaScript or need a multi-touch HMI for your system, UBP is worth considering! In this video, we will explore the main differences between the new Unified Basic Panels and the Unified Comfort Panels (UCPs). Hi Gino. I asked the local Siemens sales rep to send me. Just find a local sales rep and ask for it. You can try opening a support ticket on online support website to see if they have it.

Hi friend, do u know why I can´t find my MTP400 in the TIA v17 hardware list? that folder not even exists 😢

Hi Eduardo. If you have a MTP400 BASIC, it is only available in TIA V19. Unified basic panels are very new and introduced with TIA Portal V19.

@@blociot very helpful. Now I can't stablish a communication between PLC s7 1200 and my HMI MTP400. There's some detail that I'm missing?

@@eduardobrisolla1185 there are a few factors that can cause this issue. First, make sure you have an HMI connection defined between your PLC and HMI. Then make sire the time zone is the same for both devices. Finally, make sure the CPU security allows access to all devices and the certificate is valid.
