- The Pleasanton man accused of killing, dismembering and dumping the body of his girlfriend near an Alameda shoreline is now facing life in prison after a jury found him guilty Monday. Velena Jones reports.

Some women believe they can change men, especially believing they can change their abusers. Women, you cannot change anyone especially someone who's abusing you. So get away from that person as soon as is possible, or things won't end well for you.

It's called coercive control. If he hasn't committed an arrestable offense, the minute the cops leave the abuse ratchets up.

@@a.m.6847 It's honestly helpful to understand this interpretation of the situation. In reality it's not a choice, it's a hostage situation. Trauma makes us behave in ways that can be difficult to understand from a safe vantage point.

Did you all hear what the newscaster reported? This victim was "dismembered." What kind of evil so n' so does this to another human being, let alone a woman. What chance did she have of saving her own life? Prison is too good for this awful person. A state sponsored vaccination is the only way to rid society of this level of evil.

Police cannot force anyone to leave an abuser. Lots of times these women defy police and NOT LEAVE, SO DON'T TRY AND BLAME the police for the decision you and your loved ones make.
We blame the police for not looking him up and seeing that he had a history of violence and abuse. If they saw that they maybe wouldn’t have ignored him lying to their faces and maybe wouldn’t have been laughing and bonding with him while she cowered in the closet. @@TOm-hr2mb This case had 17 ineffective calls for service. If someone is falsely accusing 17 times, that is itself an act of harassment that should be investigated & mitigated.
