This is the Japanese original by Koji Tamaki that you probably also know as " Autumn Strong " from The Singer, where he performed it with Chinese lyrics. First time he sang in Chinese in front of a Chinese audience. This is the first time he sang in Japanese.

At his recent concerts Dimash has sung Autumn Strong in mandarin as the first half of the song and switches to Ikenaide in Japanese for the second half which satisfies us all. At the German concert, Dimash asked the audience which language they wanted and then teased them by saying he would sing it in Kazakh.
He travels with his songs and we travel with him every time we hear him singing.

Fyi this Japanese version is the original the Chinese is a translation of this one, but, because Dimash was on a Chinese show he did the translated piece first. The story is so so so sad

You're not wrong! It is the same melody as "Autumn Strong." This is the original Japanese version, written by Koji Tamaki in 1989. Autumn Strong is the Chinese version of this. This rendition of Ikanaide is sheer perfection! 🎶♥️🎶

This was live- streamed to the Tokyo Jazz Festival bc of the pandemic. Yes, he is incredible, amazing, mesmerizing, and anything else you can come up with. I have been to 2 of his concerts and 13:22 seeing him live is beyond belief, as he is even better in person. He has a really great stage presence and a really great connection with his fans,the Dears. You should get to see at least one concert.

This song by him is goosebumps for me. Just sung so soft but so full and so much emotion. Wish he would do more like this .
How Dimash made me feel watching him live on stage: complete overload of all my senses in the most possible positive way. I knew all his songs before, his range, the textures of his voice, the eloquence of his hands, his body language - I knew it from videos - that's what I thought. I was not prepared for the shock, the intensity and intimacy of his vocals and his incredible aura that took possession not only of my whole body but my heart and soul as well. It felt like zero gravity, my brain unable to produce a single thought. It took some time before I realised that tears of pure joy kept rolling down my cheeks. That was my first Dimash concert, 2022 in Düsseldorf. Then I flew to Antalya, Turkey, for my second one. Same impressions? No! Even more intense! A concert of Dimash is not an hour of good music and an exceptional voice. It is an exquisite, brilliant, most intense three and a half hour full body and soul experience, levitating, the intensity of deep heartfelt emotions carved in my brain for eternity. So, yes, a concert of Dimash should be in first place of any dear's bucket list. Whatever efforts or expenses it may take, go and experience Dimash live on stage. Greetings from Germany

Dimash sang this song so many times in Chinese and I love every version of it. Then to record this he picked the very best of all his performances and put all together in this version. Absolutely perfect! Hug from Brazil! ❤❤❤
So little personal story. My husband passed away and I was more then devastated I was close to suicide I then was introduced to Dimash and he healed me. I can’t explain it. My husband was a drummer so music had been in my life. But something about Dimash healed my soul. Through him I also started listening to other foreign music like hua Chenyu and the rose. But Dimash will always always be in my heart and soul. Thank you for your reactions

Dimash did sing this song in a different performance that was in Chinese. In English it is called Autumn Strong. The back story to this song is a love song from a singer to her audience that was originally done by Koji Tamaki. She was a Japanese performer living in China during WWII, and she was adored by her fans. After the war, her identity was revealed, and she was deported. It is an extremely sad story and Dimash captures her pain and anguish in an amazing way. But, then again, he always does do that. He is an angel.

I'm sure others have mentioned this also, but this is the same melody as the song Dimash performed called Autumn Strong, that version is in Mandarin and this is the Japanese version. Both are gorgeous! You would love his performance of Somaltau featuring Kazakh instruments and his native language.

I had never been in any concert in my entire life but Dimash. I had a chance and I took it. I gave myself a birthday gift in Antalya by driving 7hours to got there and turned back right after. Still recovering ❤️🩹 I thought at one point it must be playback can not be real that perfect, but .. while I am watching your reaction 5months later from the performance, no, it wasn't. It was pure talent. He is the greatest.

Thank you. This is a masterclass vocal by Dimash. 'Ikanaide' is in Japanese, the 1st time Dimash has sung in Japanese. This song is the same story but with different lyrics of the Chinese song 'Autumn Strong': here is that from 2017: ua-cam.com/video/Kmi2cVijdMo/v-deo.html. The story is told from the different perspectives of each country. It is about a Chinese singer who went to Japan and took on a Japanese persona. The Japanese loved her dearly. But then her real identity and that she was Chinese born came to light and she was sent back to China. This is gorgeous and so emotional. There is no other singer on earth that comes close to Dimash's vocal abilities. He IS music. The humming at the end touches deep in my soul.

This version "Ikanaide" (行かないで) ) is the original, from 1989, composed by Koji Tamaki (famous Japanese singer, born in 1958) with lyrics by Goro Matsui. The version "Autumn Strong" (Late Autumn), sung in Chinese, uses the same song, but has another lyrics (Yaqui Cheung, from 1993) and another theme: It talks about the Japanese actress Yoshiko Yamagushi, very dear to the Chinese, who was deported when they discovered her Japanese origin (his real name was Li Xiang Lan and we're talking about World War II, where Japan was China's enemy) and never returned to China. In the original version, the lyrics are more intimate, sentimental and more recognized worldwide. It means: "Please don't go!".
