LOL, I think you hit the same high note as Dimash when you heard him!!! He is an absolute genius, we are witnessing a once in a 1000 year phenomenon. With all he studies, performs, does charity work, and teaches, I pray he takes extra care of his physical and mental health. He needs time to be Dimash, the person. Hopefully, his parents stress this to him, as much as his career means to him, his well-being is so much more important. I really love this gentle man.
Anyone who plays an instrument (like me, who plays keyboards) notices the technical quality of Dimash's arrangements: In the part where he harmonized the melody with a funk-jazz arrangement he could use the classic jazz-bebop scale (with the augmented fifth) but, based on the positions of his hands on the keyboard and the sound, we can see that he enhances the music using inverted chords, increases augmented fourths and sevenths and explores variations of the mixolydian mode, these are complex chords that demonstrate what an excellent vocalist, musician, instrumentalist and arranger Dimash is!

Just a quick reminder that Dimash received his BA in Contemporary Music which included pop and jazz, his Masters degree in Composition, as well as has been working on his PhD Degree in Musicology...at the same time of holding concerts around the entire WORLD--thaaaank youuuu very much!!! Laurie, my sister and several friends went to uni with him. American, we grew up in Kazakhstan, our parents mutual friends with his. His Master's degree included Broadway training becoming proficient in his broad, wide stage movement, long strides, singing and speaking to the "back of the house",. His undergrad thesis was on international folkloric culture, traditions and music and their impact on their own and globally in past, present and future societies. It is there, he explored his lifelong interest in the instruments and music of other nations. His PhD is in Musicology his major, Composition. One of the hardest Doctorates to achieve in the world requiring top scores in advanced maths in undergrad and graduate school in addition to top scores in all subjects, lengthy auditions, verbal and written recommendations from professors, scholars, composers, and artists, an essay, juried personal compositions, and interviews. Few qualify, fewer complete it. He's completed the course work, the thesis is often years in the making. He needed the weight of all the education as it was necessary for him to be able to currently compose seriously and teach on the university level later in life as he's states as a goal. He's accomplished all of this while performing at the same time and building one of the leaders globally in production organizations as CEO and sole head. He has just done a concert in Tokyo last week, and not long before that he spent some time appearing in the Golden Panda Movie Awards and various concerts or items recorded for the concert...I'm not exactly sure, and also a TV sit in interview with at least 2 items, one was Dudarai, and the other was a last half of a song about a Yellow River Winding? with an orchestra, and famous concert pianist Lang Lang ....and Dimash doing the most beautiful vocalese at the end. He sang with a very famous older Chinese Lady who still looks young, Wei Wei on stage and in a cave, and with another, A Thousand Miles A Common Dream from the past, and on a staged ship deck, and in an open air concert stage. You can find their titles from the UA-cam reactor lineups if you are interested in hearing them all. Not one will disappoint.

Remember that he has a BA in Contemporary and Jazz music. He has never done this before, but we know that he can sing anything. He started with a folk song and switch it to jazz/funk song. We were all his dears caught off guard. I love it!!! On the first of December, he is going to tell us where in Europe is going to be his next concert after Hong Kong. Dimash a chanté spontanément pendant les répétitions du concert anniversaire de I. Krutoy en novembre 2019 un extrait de1 mn30 de « I love you to years » . C’était la 1ere fois que je l’entendais chanter du jazz. Il existe beaucoup de fancam sur ce moment…c’est très intéressant de voir les coulisses et répétitions. For performances that shows different sides to Dimash than you've not been exposed to a lot... - 'Know'(Vocalise ver.) from his Arnau Concert in Kiev - 'All By Myself' from his Arnau Concert in NY(It's playful and fun, and he even makes a cute mistake!) - 'Restart My Love' from the Mount Emei Music Festival 2019(or the whole Festival itself, they had to cut it short due to the horrible weather conditions so it's like 30 min, and if Dimash wasn't so hellbent on giving something back to the fans who waited for him it would've been outright cancelled. They muted the crowd btw which is why it's going to seem oddly quiet lol, but it's a super sweet moment otherwise despite the rain.) You also don't seem to have reacted to 'Samaltau'(Tokyo Jazz Festival)? ...Aaand in general I'd suggest checking out more performances from his own shows(or maybe even a full concert) since I think those are more special and intimate.

Remember that he has a BA in Contemporary and Jazz music. He has never done this before, but we know that he can sing anything. He started with a folk song and switch it to jazz/funk song. We were all his dears caught off guard. I love it!!!

Dimash a chanté spontanément pendant les répétitions du concert anniversaire de I. Krutoy en novembre 2019 un extrait de1 mn30 de « I love you to years » . C’était la 1ere fois que je l’entendais chanter du jazz. Il existe beaucoup de fancam sur ce moment…c’est très intéressant de voir les coulisses et répétitions. On peut voir que Dimash chante en répétitions exactement comme il chante en direct.

For performances that shows different sides to Dimash than you've not been exposed to a lot...
- 'Know'(Vocalise ver.) from his Arnau Concert in Kiev
- 'All By Myself' from his Arnau Concert in NY(It's playful and fun, and he even makes a cute mistake!)
- 'Restart My Love' from the Mount Emei Music Festival 2019(or the whole Festival itself, they had to cut it short due to the horrible weather conditions so it's like 30 min, and if Dimash wasn't so hellbent on giving something back to the fans who waited for him it would've been outright cancelled. They muted the crowd btw which is why it's going to seem oddly quiet lol, but it's a super sweet moment otherwise despite the rain.)
You also don't seem to have reacted to 'Samaltau'(Tokyo Jazz Festival)?
...Aaand in general I'd suggest checking out more performances from his own shows(or maybe even a full concert) since I think those are more special and intimate.

Dimash sings a jazzy song with two other singers from I Am Singer 2017, Tia Tea and Jam. It was from a spring festival in China. Not many reactors discover that one.

Go to his official UA-cam site and u will see many songs/perfomances 😊, especially at his concerts, where he is always amazing. I think u have missed a few,bc the Dears, his fans, suggests what they like, but there is soooo much more to him and from him.
