You have a point Mr Carlson!! While Russia's metro station feels like you are entering a beautiful old art museum, China's metro stations look out of this world, very futuristic. In contrast the US metro stations looks like that of a developing country, with graffiti, homeless people sleeping, drag addicts lurking around and heavily infested with rats lol.

This metro station is called Kievskaya, and is named after Kiev, capital of Ukraine.
No one ever suggested to rename it after the war started.

1+ * 👍
Why any one in Russia will rename it ?
Kiev is a Russian City and they are proud of it
Good point! Remember when 20 years ago (when supposedly America was more mature and rational) there was a push to rename French Fries as Freedom Fries because France was critical of the US invasion of Iraq? In retrospect at least one thing changed: since 2003 France has become a complete vassal of the USA.
@@mohamedmido4866 Exactly! 🤓
If the world or people know who these Russians are, you should never hesitate to become friends with them. The fact that you have a friend, acquaintance, or partner in Russia will make you proud.
Russia is home to some of the most honorable, genuine, and pure people I have ever encountered. ❤ ❤❤ I spent many years living in Russia, and all I can say is "YOU ARE THE BEST RUSSIAN" I love and I realy appreciate you ❤❤❤ Salute.. Yraaaaaaa🎉🎉🎉
Why do Americans think that Russians are bad and evil? Because the U.S. government has been spreading fascist propaganda about them for 70 years.
Love you, after so many years of hate from west, it’s really heartwarming to read ❤
Hello, If you need English-speaking lawyers in Russia feel free to contact us.
Lucky you. I am surprised. I grew In soviet union, never met a lovely russian
I think you might be russian.
I'm an American. I've been through the whole Moscow Metro many times. I was in Moscow in 1992. It is beautiful, clean and the people are very well behaved. What I really liked in the Metro is the sweet woman's voice that announced every station in Russian that we were about to stop at.
😂😂😂😂

Москва в 1992 и в 2024 - это два разных города)
Что то я сомневаюсь что вы говорите про 92 год )
Go out in the sticks in Russia, far away from Moscow, to see what most Americans very rarely see. Then report back to us.
Have you ever been on the DC Metro as the stops are announced by a man with a mouthful of marbles? 😂
In 2005 my husband had an offer for a job in Moscow.
As italians (we are from Milan), we were victims of western russofobic propaganda, but we acccepted to go, thinking that we could stay 1 or 2 years maximum.
After 19 years we are still here and I have infinite love for the Russian people and this wonderful country. We feel blessed for this and my husband just got his Russian passport.❤
Magnifico!❤
Добро пожаловать ❤❤❤
Super ! I lived in Russia too, and agree 100%. Great society.

Bravo fratelli!
Their culture has not been destroyed nor apologized for. My husband has been there and would love to return, so would I.
Culture was destroyed during the bolshevik revolution and what remains are smoke and mirrors
Their culture never did the things others do but profess to be Christian
Ok bye bye. Stay there please
The Metro tunnels are incredible! Great art, but the trains smelled a little from winter clothing. Never waited longer than 2 minutes on weekdays and 5 minutes on weekends for a new train to arrive. I met a begging dog with a fur hat in his mouth with lots of money and no owner in my view. With that much money it had, the dog was being watched closely.
People are ignorant….I was till a couple of years ago.
Russia would have been in no #1 if all the talent stayed back in Russia. With so much of talent migration, It is still a beautiful independent country. It proved the fact that world can live without US.
russia produces nothing
I was born in Armenia when it was part of the Soviet Union. And we were brought up with discipline and taught to have manners and respect towards each other. A huge priority was given to education. 90% of the public on the metro had a book in their hand in Moscow back in the 80's and not much has changed even with the influence of the West and the so called "freedom". An ill mannered and uncultured people were looked down upon. Elite meant to be educated and well mannered. Russians have respect for their homeland, they love their motherland and it's evident in every aspect. I was there during the May 9th parade in 2019 and thousands of people marching for hours towards the Kremlin, not a piece of trash was found on the floor during the entire march. They have etiquette and a sense of responsibility for their country. And yes, the metro stations are like museums and the people keep it as such. We can ALL learn a thing or two in the US from Russians. They are not the enemy the West would like us to believe. Thank you for bringing the world's attention to reality.
Unfortunately, Armenia demolished the monument to Lenin in 1991 and almost destroyed all the industry that the USSR left to it, and in general Armenia looks depressing, but they go to Europe like Georgia, where there is only devastation and EU flags on almost every poleceisky site these are achievements in 30 years
To many people Armenia does NOT look depressive (it is actually the opposite), but you are welcome to express your subjective opinion@@frankshepherd5953

The "leaders" in America actually hate America.
Khrushchev must be smiling down on this reversal.
I’m 59 years old and I’ve recently come to realize that I have been lied to my whole life.
The bottom line is that the American government and propaganda is blocking you from the truth about Russia in every way possible. If American taxpayers find out what Russia is really like, they will ask uncomfortable questions of their government. That's what this is all about
Yes, you have! Wait till you find out how we, foreigners, fly to Russia to get medical treatment because we can’t afford it in the west. My husband needed a surgery for $25K: my Russian friends took care of everything and he had his surgery done for $800! No health insurance in possession, no Russian citizenship. We just had to pay for our Russian visas, plane tickets $1500 per person, and the $800 fee we had to pay included the surgery itself, anesthesia, a specialist performing anesthesia, pain meds and post surgery stay. That is it! Mother Russia didn’t rip us off but Uncle Sam really wanted to make us go bankrupt
Me too. Once you realize it, you wonder how you didn’t realize it earlier.
Definitely a FeelsBad moment.
@@julia.mcconnell And for russian this surgery costs zero.
Oh .. no not zero, the employer pay some but its payment over your salary not inside it and noone actually see this so its looks like free.

My time in russia I love the metro and public transport system.
Over 300 stations in moscow, and every single one of their stations is a work of art. They were absolutely master pieces.
In the summer they employee street sweepers to sweep and wash all the monuments in the city.
There is little trash in the city, and people got very angry at people for littering. I found the city an absolute dream, and if Texas were ever to stop being my home. Moscow would be the place I would love to call home.

Very easy to explain this they teach there people to love and respect there culture over there we teach people to hate ours so that is why you see a difference.
It's amazing what you can do with an authoritarian government
I have been living in Moscow for the past 2 years. Prior to Moscow I had lived in Italy and Austria. I can confirm from my personal experience that Moscow is one of the best and safe cities to live…You can walk outside at 2 am without a shred of fear of being mugged. You have 24/7 working services and Very effective transportation system. 4 mins maximum and the next metro train is in. The beauty of life is you don’t need to be rich or be a higher income earner to have a good , modern apartment to live in…anyone who has visited this city would attest to this. This is the reality our media don’t tell us

When this video first came out, liberals were saying “Russian subways are only nice because Russia is a totalitarian police state” yet just today I read that the NYC subways are under martial law. Uniformed soldiers are now patrolling it with machine guns and searching random citizens.
Even Russia doesn’t do that.
It's crazy how years ago when I saw the movie about Snowden, and learned how he accidentally got trapped in Russia forever.. I felt really bad for him & imagined a grey, run down 3rd world country, stuck in the past.
But now after seeing the reality of things, & seeing Putins more conservative/Russia-first values, their rule of law. And basically how they are the polar opposite of the liberal, progressive woke govt we have rn.. It doesnt seem nearly as bad as I imagined. 😅🤷♂️
Have you seen the reality of things, though? Are you sure this isn't just some puff-piece by a biased Fox News talking head who would do ANYTHING to make himself look good, and Liberals bad?
I dare you to take a trip to Moscow, stand in the middle of the largest part of the city, and loudly declare "Vladimir Putin has sex with men!"

The Saint Petersburg train stations were stunning in a similar way. Not to mention how efficient they are. I've been asking the same question for years... When I visited Russia in 2019 I brought 1000 dollars and couldn't spend it. I stayed right in the center of the city, drank excellent wine, had the freshest and most delicious food. Saw amazing sites. And I come back home... Being told how good I have it? It's all a lie. Our country is decaying, and if we don't do something, we will lose it entirely.
The US is the richest country in the world but the money is in the hands of just a handful of people. The US military budget is more than that of the next ten countries COMBINED - and that includes Russia and China! Just imagine if all of the hundreds of billions of dollars spent to keep a pointless war in Ukraine going would have been spent on the US' decaying infrastructure.
Half a century ago a visit to to New York was enough to convince anyone that the US was the biggest, brightest, best country in the world. The skyscrapers, the modern amenities, TV, technology, it was all so far advanced compared to other western countries. Now you'd have to go to Peking or Dubai to get that feeling of culture shock.

I have wanted to visit your country since the autumn of 1989 when they had the Moscow Music Peace Festival there. Music had brought us together back then and your country really started opening up to Westerners after that. I think we could all get along if it weren’t for the world governments trying to “control” everything. I married a Russian man about three years ago. Your people are such a loving people. I wish more people in each of our countries could experience that instead of listening to the media and propaganda.

My wife is Russian . So I was not surprised at all. Russians are people of great education!
Education doesnt mean anything, look at all these usefull idiots beeing educated in the US right now, what good does that make em? Its discipline, its self respect its beeing able to deal with logic and facts that seems to be making russians the great nation that they are.
I remember watching a documentary about life in a Russian prison, very bleak and brutal regime that housed equally brutal men. But what struck me was the way these men talked, murderers and thieves and traffickers who would randomly quote lines from the great Russian literary classics and refer to historical events and figures. This is a level of culture you will not find in any prison in the UK I can assure you.
As a side note, not a single prisoner claimed to be innocent and all believed that they deserved their punishment. There was a complete acceptance of their fate without any malice to the people or apparatus that were handing out their punishment. They did bad things, very bad things, and they knew it and saw their punishment as being in the natural order of things. No one to blame but themselves, the only thing to be done was to face it. That was another striking difference.
I've always wanted to visit, I hope I will.

BTW, Kievskaya was (and is, and always will be) named after Kiev - Ukrainian capital, and there was not a single idea of renaming it ever.
At 2:03 you can see a mosaic of a tractor, driven by a ukrainian guy, dressed in "vyshyvanka" (UA national style shirt, which is now one of the symbols of UA independence, all so-called UA-patriots wear it all over the world on every special date), and woman next to him also wears the same style clothes. Also everybody can scroll though the pano of that station in WWW, showing many different pictures of Soviet republic Ukraina.
Anyone may check, that during Soviet times there were many local newspapers published in Ukrainian language, plenty of books, songs, etc...
This is the most clear answer for all that bull**it, that "mova" (UA language) and all local symbols were strictly banned in USSR. Almost half of Soviet government were ukrainians almost all the times.
As for me, Kievskaya is not the most beautiful underground station in Moscow. Google for Mayakovskaya (Grand Prize of the 1939 World's Fair), Komsomolskaya, Novoslobodskaya... But for the moment Tucker's choice is obvious.
P.S. and yes, we have our fully own-built trains, air-conditioned, with nose-to-tail pass through, touch screens with plenty of info, route hints, and other valuable info, individual free USB charging slots, and yes the cost of a single ride to any destination is 0.6 Euro, and could be reduced down to 0.4 Euro, once you decide to pay with "face-pay" (requires face recognition argeement from passenger's side). All Moscow pensioners are admitted for free, having special social cards.

Ever since Trump took office I have been called communist and every other name you can imagine, all because I won't join the hatred of Russia. I am American and I love what I thought was American freedom. Now I am realizing that people on the left never did love freedom for people who disagree with them. To me that is worse than any kind of communism or nazi socialism because they pretend to themselves that they are democratic. USA was designed to be a constitutional republic. Now we are entering into the phase where name calling is no longer enough. They want violence and imprisonment for people who insist on being free and to make their own choices in life. It will erupt when they think we aren't paying attention.

I had the privilege of going to St Petersburg. We were amazed at the subway stations which are nicer than art galleries. Amazingly beautiful. No crime, no graffiti, no drugs, no homeless. I’m sure it exists, but I sure didn’t witness it. Dubai is the same but more modern. In Dubai you are not allowed to drink, eat, smoke, or sleep on the subway. They have police enforcing the rules. Now the wokes might say they have rights, but, with rights come responsibilities. I also have rights to being safe and secure while riding the subways. Two of the safest cities I’ve been to were St. Petersburg and Dubai.
