I keep my climate as default vs my radio settings. I just use my steering wheel for audio/music control. If you hold down the arrow, you can choose which you prefer and it will keep it as that setting. So mine is always on climate so I don't make the mistake you are making.I hope that makes sense.
If you press and hold the nav button or climate control button you can set one of the two as the default and will make it change to the default in case you want to change the climate for a quick sec and will change back to the nav and radio settings after several seconds.
A couple things to mention, the rear seats have an additional cool feature and that is that they recline. Also the Kia Sportage has the biggest cargo space in the class, bigger than the CX5. Cx5 has 30.8 cubic ft behind the rear seats of cargo space and the Sportage has 39.5 cubic ft of cargo space. When rear seats are put down on both vehicles the cx5 has 59.3 cu ft of storage space while the Sportage hybrid has 73 cu ft of storage space. So btw the two not even close. There is a reason why the Sportage hybrid is almost impossible to get these days. You almost need to order them because many kia dealerships are out of stock. Before they get to the lot they are already reserved.

I never use lane assist because i dont trust it where roads lines are horrible. My ford lane assist loves to hug the right and adaptive cruise control makes me feel nervous. I will have to check and see how the kia is and compare.

Pro tip: The heavy metal rock transition music is WAY too much. When I turned the volume down to preserve my hearing I couldn't hear you start talking without turning it back up again. I came for the review, not the rock concert.
Is there any way to open the sunshade, but not the sunroof? When its raining, I would like to leave the shade open, without getting drenched inside. Also, how do you like the headlights? Another reviewer complained the headlights are not bright enough.
headlights are ok. I think you only get the projection LED headlights in the Sx addition.. Yes the shade will open with out the sunroof. give the button a quick tap

We were very disappointed when the salesperson told us that the HEV SX-Prestige is not available in wolf gray in the U.S.! However, it is available in this color in Canada. I find this ridiculous! What kind of STUPID business model is this KIA?

Ik only getting around 34 mpg trying to drive it in hybrid mode the majority of the time. I belive there is a road noise option in the console

The battery for me is ok. The ICE engin is always charging the battery. I did notice the ICE engin will run more often in the winter

the plug in is a bit more $$ however you can charge the battery so it will save a bit on fuel
