PRO TIP; Wear a REFLECTIVE VEST and dress like construction workers. Nobody will look twice! My buddies and I did this for years fixing up skate spots dressed as road/construction workers. Just wear jeans, boots, regular tshirt, and reflective vest and you're good. I once fixed a spot at a court house/sheriffs office and got away with it in broad daylight. This is how I also get away with doing graffiti, they think I'm cleaning the paint off rather than adding more lol. GOOD LUCK and have fun!
its so funny how you feel like they are about to rob a bank but in reality they are making the area a better place for all walks of life. Skateboarding is beautiful.
Don't mistake what they've done here as a public service. In a year that runway will be so cracked and gnarly it will be a death trap for normal people walking down those stairs. It will need to be fixed at the city's expense. They did it for the spot - which don't get me wrong, I am 100% for - but it is not at all a positive addition to the community.
@@seanylewl look how fucked up it was already, do you think that was safe for the handicapped? they definitely improved it and even if it's only temporary it's still positive. the city was clearly neglecting it already
@@seanylewl thanks for saying that, i think that some people have rose tinted glasses when looking at skateboarding. Do what you gotta do to get the trick, don’t be too much of an asshole, but don’t lie to yourself and others that you’re making an improvement for others. Only time I’d argue that is if a space is used for absolutely nothing then skaters come and make it a spot, that way the area isn’t a waste. That might be the case in this vid
if you look sketchy when doing sketchy shit, people think you are sketchy. If you have work lights, a generator, hi-vis vests and so on, you are just fixing up a trail.

Commenters saying that these guys are saving the city money and improving the sidewalk are maybe giving these dudes too much credit. They improved the spot for skaters temporarily but that half-assed cement patching with no reinforcing isn't going to last very long until it starts cracking and spalling off. Also they look super sketchy laying concrete in the middle of the fucking night with headlamps lol. Just go to the spot on a Tuesday morning with some reflector vests and hard hats and dirty jeans. Literally nobody will bother you. Cops don't know the maintenance schedule for every sidewalk in the city. Heck, you could even bring a wheel barrow or rent a mixer instead of using whatever the fuck those bags are. Also, those are bags of cement, not concrete. Concrete is a mixture of cement, sand, aggregate, and water.
And if we use ARDEX instead of BONDO it looks completely normal instead of a sloppy patch of coloured crap. ARDEX Blends in with the concrete and will last forever. 🍻❤

don't mistake this for a public service. after a few seasons that's going to be even worse than it was, and will cost the city a lot of your tax dollars.
Yeah you don't know what your talking about and they even said in the video they use shifty concrete. Don't try to disguise selfish acts as virtuous community efforts.
Just do it in plain sight, no one is going to be concerned about construction workers during the day, seeing a bunch of dudes running back and forth with big bags and flash lights in the night is going to look suss as 😂
Ah yes just what every skater wants to do, buying concrete and spending hours on construction work just to be able to skate a spot for a trick that last 2 seconds
it's good for the community and is a great project to do with your buddies or can just come in handy to know how to do later on. a few hours of work is totally worth it to be able to session a spot for the foreseeable future
A trick may last 2 seconds as a clip. But there is so much more to a clip than that. Now they have a spot with a great hilltop view that they can session for hours. Also, imagine how much you could skate that thing if it was right down the street from your house.
Lol, are you going to release a video to help people with Property Damage Charges? Thrashers HOW TO HIRE A PUBLIC DEFENDER WHEN YOU ARE CAUGHT RED HANDED DAMAGING PROPERTY.
it benefits the community and I don't think anyone will give two shits about someone repairing a public sidewalk lol. if you get in trouble I would hope you understood the risks going into it

The amount of time you would put into this you could be updating your resume and/or looking for a job. Try paying your mom a little rent to help with the bills.
