Sounds like today, doesn't? She had spent all she had on physicians and was no better off for it not even for a while. But when she appealed to Jesus by the simple touch of faith she was made WHOLE, completely whole. Dear Lord, please INCREASE my faith for both physical and complete spiritual healing. In Jesus' name. As in Bible times demonic possession is still prevalent in various forms. The man bound in chains which he can break, lived in the graveyard among the dead just as he was spiritually dead. Do we have folks today who live among the tombs? He cut himself with stones. Do some today who cut themselves with knives and razors, and other sharp objects? What would impell anyone to do such but the thief that comes to steal, kill and destroy working through his minions? (See John 10:10) He was naked and did not care. So many walk the streets practically naked and without an ounce of shame because it's the style. When Jesus healed him people found him clothed suitably and in his sound mind. Modest dress is always a part of the Christians wardrobe for health as well as for spirituality. Some habits like drug use, alcoholism, living the partyhardy life and rejecting the Holy Spirit's pleadings to live soberly can lead any person into demonic actibity. Not everyone who pra c tices these livestyles are whoĺy possessed by demons but may become so at any tìme. We are to work assiduously for the casting out of the demons that have possessed men's and women's bodies, minds aspirits. Holy Spirit's power, direction and discernment are definitely needed in this work.
