I *shrieked* when I found out you'd medaled. I'd known you were destined for greatness since you fought your way to 2014 Worlds but watching you do arguably the best vaults of your career to get on the Olympic podium was absolutely unreal.
I definitely want to see you react to vault finals and hear about your experience going through that. It was an emotional roller coaster to watch that so I can't imagine what it would have been like to live it! Your ability to focus and finish those last two events of the Olympic prelims was impressive. You're definitely somebody I admire for your determination to never give up and always give it your best :)

I would like to see your fitness routine now and what physical therapy you are still going to do if you have any nagging injuries, if you are going to have surgery on your foot. Do gymnasts tape their feet because of injury or to stabilize their feet for all the impact? Thank you!!
I'm pretty sure it's both. Most gymnasts I've seen tape quite heavily around their arches and ankles to stabilize, and even more so when they have an injury.
I will never forget getting up at 4 am Sunday morning with my husband to watch you kill it in vault finals. He’s not really into gymnastics but he knows how big a fan I am of you and how ive been following your journey since you were 15 and I’ve done my best to never miss a meet whether it’s elite or college (as long as it was on tv lol) so he made sure we were both up at 4 am so we could watch and seeing you get that medal and sharing that with my husband will forever be one of my favorite memories. There’s seriously nothing better than watching someone you’ve been rooting for so hard finally achieve all you’ve wanted for them. Congratulations again mykayla i seriously could not be more proud of you!!!

What I remember most is being miserable in the hospital with pneumonia, shortness of breath and not having answers to what was wrong with me. When you got the chance to compete in vault finals I was overcome with so much joy and happiness. I saw light. Your Olympic routines were absolutely amazing.
Can I also just add that I woke up around 3-4 am to watch vault finals live. This is what I did for you Mykayla because I wanted to support you. I was so happy when you got silver on vault. Well deserved. Seeing you have Covid early in the year made me realize that I was going to be ok.
Aside from your beam routine being the best at the olympics…you just had the worst soul crushing of your life with that vault qualifying. Then you got up there & had the beam routine of your freaking life!! YOU did THAT!! & that right there is something to be extremely proud of!! I've never woken up on purpose at 4 or 5am for anything. I woke up to see you and omggggg I cried when you didn't place at vault. While I was sad for Simone, I was EXSTATIC ! TO see you were going to compete in the finals. My husband was like, you don't even know you, why are you screaming at 5am?! I threatened him with no breakfast and divorce if he didn't hush 🤣 he knows you have been my favorite for the last 9 years! Thank you for liking my life interesting and enjoyable for the past 9 years! You deserved to be at '12 and '16 games but I was most excited to see you at the games over any other team member!!!! I love how you talk about the emotional side. I really think that helps when younger people realize that even their idols have feelings and get emotional. So many times I was told to not get emotional at competition or training.. which just made me feel guilty which made it all worse. I think it is good to acknowledge it and work with it, instead of ignoring things . And your success shows that getting emotional wasn’t a bad thing and you probably feel so much stronger for pushing past it.

Agreed, i think jade and mykayla shouldve made the team, jordan had no international experience whatsoever, eventhough she did well at trials, i expected her to fuck up during quals and Tf, obviously i didnt want that, but i hated that the selection committee only used the scored from trials and dint take into consideration any of the previous meets

Myk, you should be unbelievably proud of yourself! You are a wonderful inspiration to everyone that no matter what happens KEEP GOING🥰! Trust me, even the commentators were seriously questioning the scoring, the amount of time between 30sec touch & performance & they even questioned if something was wrong with the vault because of the # of misses & falls! I cried when you didn't place. I didn't even cry a little bit either. After hearing everything with Simone and feeling so hurt but proud for her I realized. I literally screamed out loud home alone. I felt bad considering..... I then had to look it up just to be 1000000%. I stayed up until 3 am just to watch live. Just seeing your name on the list made me cry. Then seeing you when it cut to the live feed. 😭😭😭😭 I almost couldn't see your vault that's how fast the tears where rolling. So proud.... I said so many prayers!!!
Yes. It's been so helpful and interesting to have insight into all the work it takes to perform for 18 to 240 seconds at the absolute extreme of human ability. I have much more appreciation for all gymnasts seeing you practice, fail, repeat. It makes the sport tangibly amazing rather than of-course-she -can-do-that amazing.

How did we watch?! On the edge of our seats with gripped hands every second!! It was a rollercoaster journey for your fans! Checking every few minutes for days to see if Simone was going to pull out. My parents got up with me at 2am our time for the vault final. We sat and I swear I broke my moms hand I was holding it so tightly. I couldn’t breathe the whole time! Haha. And then I cried with you! They made it look like you weren’t excited on the 2am feed, so I was confused, but the prime time they showed your celebration! I sent your sister the video of your vault final and medal, set to “one moment in time” by Whitney Houston at 2am after and she loved it! So glad it worked out for you and proud of every single second. There is not one part you should feel bad about or not be proud of! You are amazing and I am so glad you finally got your moment! So deserved!

When I saw that you placed 2nd and got the silver medal I was crying happy tears and thinking “she did it!”
Myk, you should be unbelievably proud of yourself! You are a wonderful inspiration to everyone that no matter what happens KEEP GOING🥰! Trust me, even the commentators were seriously questioning the scoring, the amount of time between 30sec touch & performance & they even questioned if something was wrong with the vault because of the # of misses & falls! The scoring was really off IMO & I mean for everyone. Regardless, you look beautiful girlie, so glad you’re getting settled in to your new home. (Jonas, we had Vivant installed & then our account was transferred to a different company. Have you ever seen that happen 🤷🏼♀️, just curious). Sending you both lots of

I'm so happy you were able to throw such awesome routines at the Olympics and then top it off with your VT medal. I feel you've had so many times where you could have just quit but you've kept with it and fought through it all. You are a great role model and I hope you continue with gymnastics in some fashion. I wish there could be more competitors in the Olympics and worlds. Like the US could send a few teams. I got misty eyed when you won your medal and I was so happy to you ladies have fun on tour and just enjoy the sport. Can't wait to see what you do next!

I was pretty distraught when you didn't make vault or floor finals initially and that week was the wildest roller coaster of emotions!

I cried when you didn't place. I didn't even cry a little bit either.
After hearing everything with Simone and feeling so hurt but proud for her I realized. I literally screamed out loud home alone. I felt bad considering..... I then had to look it up just to be 1000000%. I stayed up until 3 am just to watch live. Just seeing your name on the list made me cry. Then seeing you when it cut to the live feed. 😭😭😭😭 I almost couldn't see your vault that's how fast the tears where rolling. So proud.... I said so many prayers!!!
Yes. It's been so helpful and interesting to have insight into all the work it takes to perform for 18 to 240 seconds at the absolute extreme of human ability. I have much more appreciation for all gymnasts seeing you practice, fail, repeat. It makes the sport tangibly amazing rather than of-course-she -can-do-that amazing.

"was it this horrible watching it you guys? How could you watch this?" Let me tell you...I cried when after every routine because they were so beautiful and I was so proud. Then, I BAWLED when you didn't make vault finals and continued to yell at the TV that you were set up because they put two individuals out there with the same specialties AND Simone Biles. So so so happy you ended up getting to compete and earn your medal! Would love a reaction video to vault finals!

How did we watch?! On the edge of our seats with gripped hands every second!! It was a rollercoaster journey for your fans! Checking every few minutes for days to see if Simone was going to pull out. My parents got up with me at 2am our time for the vault final. We sat and I swear I broke my moms hand I was holding it so tightly. I couldn’t breathe the whole time! Haha. And then I cried with you! They made it look like you weren’t excited on the 2am feed, so I was confused, but the prime time they showed your celebration! I sent your sister the video of your vault final and medal, set to “one moment in time” by Whitney Houston at 2am after and she loved it! So glad it worked out for you and proud of every single second. There is not one part you should feel bad about or not be proud of! You are amazing and I am so glad you finally got your moment! So deserved!
