A small suggestion for all the aspirants- Dont waste your life for government jobs.try for 3-4 years till the age of 26 27. After that..just change your path..choose some other career. Your life is valuable even without a government job.

The real motivation lies in struggle stories and not in the limelight that someone cleared UPSC in just 1 st or 2 nd attempt. Salute to your attitude towards your goal and best wishes for your future endeavours.
giving 7 years to an unpredictable exam is the biggest mistake one can make in life. One should give maximum 3 attempts with full time preparation. If not cleared in 3 attempts, then try something else, this is a harsh exam pls dont make it the only goal in life, make it a part of life only !

It is immaterial whether this young gentleman becomes an IAS or not. Successful toppers cannot and should not be the example. They are exceptions and exception can never be the guiding force. As they donot know how to reach or understand the common student's problems. So, it is always wise to listen to the voice of a struggling one.
Never prepare for upsc to become IAS but prepare for upsc to open coaching business and make money.

When I was in undergrad, my parents also kept this option of IAS infront of me. They gave me a choice and I decided not to take it. Mujhe pata tha mai nahi kar paungi aur mere years aur paise barbaad ho jaenge. Now I work for an MNC, haa private hai, glamour nahi hai, lekin jo bhi hai theek hai. Maine accept kr liya. Sabka nahi ho sakta yaar. Jinka hota hai wo rare hain. Very much respect to them. But agar apko pata hai ki apse nahi ho paega, toh ap wo karo jo apse ho sake.

There is a need of change towards this govt. exam prepration game.......without any back up plan its a huge risk to invest your productive age in this. No matter how much talented you are, after a certain time when failures hits you multiple times you find yourself in a self rejection mode and it's a worse situation ever to come out. Don't take time granted, set the limit so that you could move on eaisly to some other options. Every one has dreams in ones life but it wont take much time when dreams become nightmare. Have a plan......Even we insure our non living things then why we can't insure our carrer with a back up plan.

भारत के युवा सरकारी नौकरी की तैयारी में अपना समय, उम्र और पैसा सब बर्बाद कर रहे हैं। उम्र 30-40 वर्ष हो गए हैं तब भी तैयारी में जुटे हैं पता नहीं भारत में बहुत से लोगों की मानसिकता है कि सरकारी नौकरी ही अच्छा होता है।
कोई भी कार्य में मन लगे और उस कार्य को मन से किया जाए तो फिर प्राइवेट हो या सरकारी सब अच्छा लगता है।

आपने बहुत ही वास्तविक बातें बताई हैं जो की बहुत सारे लोगों के लिए मोटिवेशन होगा । मुझे लगता आज तक का सबसे अच्छा इंटरव्यू आपका ही होगा इंटरव्यू लेने वाले वाले भाई का भी बहुत बहुत धन्यवाद सफल लोगों की कहानी तो खूब घड़ी जाती है लेकिन असफलता जिन लोगों ने पाई है उनके पास में कुछ सफलता के राज होते हैं वह कहीं ना कहीं कुछ ना कुछ सफल होते हैं जीवन में। आपका धैर्य भी कुछ काम नहीं है जो गरीब टपके से आकर के वहां पर मेहनत कर रहे हैं उन लोगों को भी आपके इंटरव्यू से बहुत सारा मोटिवेशन मिलेगा और भगवान करे आप जरूर एक दिन निकाल जाए इतनी मेहनत से जब आप एक दिन निकलोगे तो आप जरूर समाज में कुछ अच्छाबदलाव करेंगे

advice from an IITian - " You must improve your methods"'
1.) make notes very short and directly download it into your brain
2.) work like scanner not xerox machine
3.) Do revision orally without looking into any notes
4.) must solve 1 mock test daily
5.) Don't just study to increase hours
6.) STOP living in Fake confidence that I dedicated 15-16hr daily for 7 years so UPSC will just take me with both hands ...becoz quality of your study matter
