  • When you purchase a new spa, it is possible, that once you connect it, that it short-circuits (trips) the circuit breaker repeatedly.
In most cases, it is because the connection has not been done in the most optimal way to begin with. Therefore, you need to call your electrician to put him in touch with the Trévi team who will be able to give him some small indications that will allow to easily resolve everything.
If your spa has been working for a while but the circuit breaker starts to short-circuit, it is possible to do an additional test if you own a spa with a XE panel, to try to find the source of the problem.
First of all, you need to turn off the circuit breaker and disconnect each wire. Afterward, reconnect one wire then turn on the circuit breaker. Wait about 5 minutes to see if the circuit breaker trips once again. If everything works, do the same thing with the next wire until the circuit breaker trips once again. You will then have found which one of your spa component has an issue.
Sometimes, it may take longer before a circuit breaker trips. If so, you can do the test again while waiting a day before reconnecting the next wire.
After having done all those manipulations, if you still have not found the source of the problem, it could be the connection which links the circuit breaker to the computer, or even a problem with the water heater.
In all cases, you should place a service call to Trévi, you will be able to direct the conversation with those little in-house tests.
