Aquachigger I want to thank you for teaching me the skills I needed to do metal detecting, I've wanted to all my life, now in my forties I finally can With all the skills you've taught me in the last year. Bow your my number one favorite metal detectors!! You have a wonderful personality & a shiny soul! Thank you again. Hold your breath Lol "love it!" BECK
Take all the time you want Beau!!! We will be here watching, and sharing in the excitement! I live in Columbia, South Carolina, the eclipse was a PERFECT total eclipse! No clouds or rain. I wish you would come here to detect, a LOT of Civil War activity around Columbia! Take care, and "HOLD YOUR BREATH!!!"
I left my phone on a log. That stinks. You know you business for sure. I like to collect plates from different things. Never thought of a box plate for ammo. Always a pleasure to watch your enthusiasm.
Me and my better half look forward to your videos...we check everyday to see if you have posted anything new!!! We wish your videos was longer but we are true fans, keep'm coming!!!!!!
This has to be my favourite video of yours, it was so enjoyable to watch. Finding a spot that keeps producing finds is just the best thing in the world :)
amazing find, that's more civil war bullets than i have found in my 46 years put together lol, I did know of a guy that found 800 in a single hole here in the Savannah river once. They were dumped there by the crate when Sherman's Army started heading towards Augusta.
Hi Chigg, I saw the total eclipse in Oregon and it was stunning. It also was hot, so I drove to a favorite small river that has 100 year+ dumps along it and found a very cool brass skeleton key , and old copper canteen , oval shape, with the words "Herman Coupling" on the spout. It is soldered .Also , on the surface, a 1908-S Barber Dime!
Hey Chig. Your in a freshwater mussel bed there. Just leave them roughly where you found them and they will be alright. They will rebury themselves or just lie there in that area because floods don't scour there. If you try to rebury them, make sure you put the foot end in the gravel and siphons up. The foot end is closest to the umbo or beak of the shell. Cheers!
Nice video......it's nice to take your time.....hope you saved your phone. As always...thanks for sharing 💜😃....you always make me smile with your expressions!! 😃
You did a great metal detection Job beau! I'm always excited too see some new adventures,I can't wait until the next vlog, Don't forget hold your breath, Greetings from the Netherlands,
I just subscribed. I've skimmed through a few shallow creeks while hunting but never devoted much time to it. I was concerned about messing up my detector. Its a relic now. Served me well. Its a Fisher 441, bought it in 1976. Great video. You and Bird Dog have inspired me to get in the water. Thanks.
You made the right decision not to drive south! Every public place was packed early into the morning, and the clouds (around Asheville) came in at about noon
I can distinctly see the 'grooves' and not bands in the ball on the first one you found. This is one more awesome video and I relished in every second and every one of your finds here!
A prophecy was made thousands of years ago that said during an American solar eclipse in the majestic year 2017, one medal detecting youtuber would be blessed with a find of many civil war Era minie balls.
Beau really! "Maximum fannage" hahaha and......."fand sanning" yup! A whole new language right there. Yes I know it's the sun making you do it! Lol. MOAR!
Aww sorry you got skunked during the eclipse, at least where I was it was 85% but at least it was partly cloudy. Saw a bunch of crescent shadows on the ground from the trees. Sounds like you had way too much fun HODLING YOUR BREATH!!
Great find, Love watching your videos of detecting, I'm still waiting on my At Max to be shipped, Can't wait to go give it a try, never know what one may find while out and about!
I was near Niota Tennessee that day to see the Totality. Clear Blue sky and near all the totally that could be seen. I really think you would have liked seeing the totality. Nothing like it. !
Sweet hunt. Lot of lead. 20 is the most bullets ive ever found in one day. I remember the cache of bullets you found. Luv either diggin em or watchin u diggem. Lol. Either way. Luv to see ya hunt with the gpx again too. Dig some deep 3-bangers!
Beau, I drove from PA to Anderson, SC to a place called Green Pond Landing to watch the solar eclipse. There was only about 40% cloud cover for most of the eclipse but during the total eclipse, there was a huge cloud overhead that never moved and I didn't get to see totality.
Anthony, I wish you had followed the tiger paws painted on the road (hint hint) and driven about 12 miles from Anderson to watch it with me. It was a huge deal where I live and work.
Got a just post civil war 3 cent nickel today, I'm pretty happy about it. Love those river vids Chig! I can't get so excited about bullets as you, but I'm sure happy you love finding them. I suppose it is fun to try to figure out just how they got there unfired and all. I am always in every civil war river hunt video, secretly hoping that you fan yourself some civil war coinage. Love the videos Chig! Thank you for sharing them with the public. Pulling for ya to find coinage.
I'm in SW IN and we were to get not quite 100% of the eclipse, but I likened it to removing a 60 w bulb from a lamp and replacing it with a 40w. The light had an eerie quality but that was all. In Hopkinsville, KY where they experienced 100% of the eclipse, people were disappointed that it didn't get darker out than it did. I think people expected total darkness. It did get 15* cooler, however..and no rain.
With solar eclipses, the last 1 or 2 percent coverage are everything. When those last oercent are gone it's like someone flicks a light switch. Same with when it reappears. As soon as the surface of the sun breaks through again, it gets so much brighter. Most of this is because our eyes are so good at adapting to light conditions that there doesn't seem to be so much difference between 100%, 50% or 10% sun, but after that, the changes get more dramatic.
Hello Mr Chigg I hope that you are having a good day I just wanted to ask you have u ever been to Kentucky I know my boyfriend loves watching you videos about u finding stuff I know he has Tryed to talk to you at sometime . God bless you and stay safe and HOLD your BREATH
Should have came to Columbia, it was clear skies, it would have made my 4 years olds year to have met ya. Treasure videos are our bed time stories lol.
I'm just amazed that the bullets are so shallow after being there for over a hundred years. I'd love to find "one" in my life and I'm getting old now. :)
Awesone video! Do you ever get paranormal activity around any of your civil war relics? I'd love to see a video on it if you do! All the very best to you!
Absolutely nothing better than watching you, your excitement is contagious, I like watching you uncover everything, yes, even those dreaded pulltabs
You are so personable on camera, AquaChigger. It's a joy to go on your adventure's with you. Thanks for sharing your life with us. HOLD YOUR BREATH!
It cracks me up when you think we're bored! I could watch you fan sand all day. It's neat to see what's uncovered... almost like a magic trick. 😊
The Batzinator agree
The Batzinator : m2 (:
I've started to be subconsciously excited when i see the hue of gray that the lead bullets have in everyday life Haha
Aquachigger I want to thank you for teaching me the skills I needed to do metal detecting, I've wanted to all my life, now in my forties I finally can With all the skills you've taught me in the last year. Bow your my number one favorite metal detectors!!

Well, it rustles my jimmies when my favorite sand fanner fergets his mask in the truck 🚚
"...To live in the excitement of the moment..." Good advice there 'Chig:)
Awesome video as usual Chigg! BTW who leaves there cell phone down river on a rock?? Lol your too funny!
AquaChigger, thanks for helping me through the grief of losing my mother. You helped me remember who I was again.
Outstanding !!live bullet adventures! Thanks for taking us along
I think it's pretty neat to find something that the last guy to handle them was fighting in the Civil War.
Best line"eclipse is really kinda bogus". Steller!
Awsome find Beau. I was hoping you would find a plate too. O well hold your breath
With so much fanning of the creek bed a ping pong paddle would come in handy. Works great, last a long time.
Chigg you are so darn cute when you are happy! I loveeeeeee river treasures, nothing boring at all here
Thank god its Chigger time. god bless you and all your fans.
I left my phone on a log. That stinks. You know you business for sure. I like to collect plates from different things. Never thought of a box plate for ammo. Always a pleasure to watch your enthusiasm.
Great finds .Every time I see those mini balls just getting grazed or wounded by one of them I can't emagin the pain those men went thru.
Wonderful bunch of bullets, wanted to watch the thunderstorm roll in...cool
I haven't gotten bored with any of your videos so far. Very educational and interesting. Keep em going!!
Me and my better half look forward to your videos...we check everyday to see if you have posted anything new!!! We wish your videos was longer but we are true fans, keep'm coming!!!!!!

Good hunt nice bunch of bullets. I enjoyed it . Thanks Beau.

I held my breath, Beau;) Congrats on finding all those bullets. Great video.
Hi Chigg, I saw the total eclipse in Oregon and it was stunning. Awesome job. Thanks for taking us along.

When I said siphons up I meant up and above the substrate so they can breathe. If they are left completely buried, it could be a problem for them.
Nice video......it's nice to take your time.....hope you saved your phone. As always...thanks for sharing 💜😃....you always make me smile with your expressions!! 😃
Fantastic finds. Love your vlogs. Thank you for sharing.
Love the underwater footage Chigg!, great finds!

A prophecy was made thousands of years ago that said during an American solar eclipse in the majestic year 2017, one medal detecting youtuber would be blessed with a find of many civil war Era minie balls.
You created a total eclipse of my heart.
One doozy of a way to mark the eclipse, Chig!
great finds...you should have come to the up state in sc....cleared off and was great for the full eclipse
No clouds and 100% totality in Southern Missouri. You should have been here. You would have appreciated it since it was so amazing!
You' re always so nice, I enjoy all your videos.
Beau really! "Maximum fannage" hahaha and......."fand sanning" yup! A whole new language right there. Yes I know it's the sun making you do it! Lol. MOAR!

Those mussels have pearls in them. Would be great to watch opening one.

Anthony, I wish you had followed the tiger paws painted on the road (hint hint) and driven about 12 miles from Anderson to watch it with me. It was a huge deal where I live and work.
Great under water shots. Well done.
You hit the mother lode in South Carolina...of mini balls lol. Very cool.
Amazing Civil War bullet spill/drop there! Thanks for sharing! Unfortunately out here where I live (Utah) - we don't find any of those our way. HH
Why would they have thrown them away?
Curious?
You really eclipsed your last finds with that video, I must say, "Hold your breath!!!" Sorry for the bad pun, I just couldn't help it.
Do those mussel have pearls in them. Should check. Be a great watch to see.

You have the patience of a saint!

Hello Mr Chigg I hope that you are having a good day I just wanted to ask you have u ever been to Kentucky I know my boyfriend loves watching you videos about u finding stuff I know he has Tryed to talk to you at sometime . God bless you and stay safe and HOLD your BREATH

are there any alligators when you go to the rivers?
Awesome find!!
I keep thinking as Aquachigger is fanning that the pebbles in the surrounding area sure look like a deluxe mixed nuts spill :o)
That's when the Samsquanches come out!
I love this guy 💕💕
What a great day in the creek. MOAR
I'm just amazed that the bullets are so shallow after being there for over a hundred years. I'd love to find "one" in my life and I'm getting old now. :)
You should have looked at the sun filtering through the trees there should have been little crescent shaped projection of the eclipse on the ground.
God bless you Chigg.👍👍
Awesone video! Do you ever get paranormal activity around any of your civil war relics? I'd love to see a video on it if you do! All the very best to you!
Pleas answer me this. Are relics dropped in the immediate area of were you find them or washed down some. Will they move in heavy flooding? Thanks
