    Key takeaways:
    ------------------------
    1) A weak square is a square that your pawns are defending, but theirs can never attack!
    2) We use weak squares for our pieces, mainly knights
    3) Occupy outposts with pieces, not pawns!
    4) Fight for an outpost by exchanging its defenders
    5) Usually there is an outpost in front of pawn weaknesses
    6) Try not to weaken squares, especially in front of your king!
    7) Weak squares are made through changes in the pawn structure
    8) Induce a weak squares by forcibly and beneficially changing the pawn structure
    9) Repair weak squares by occupying them with pieces or preventing the opponent's pieces from reaching them!

      Sure is. Not many people can explain things so simply that it makes it easy to understand. Some chess coaches don't understand that some things that they take for granted are actually not well understood by lower rates players. He understands this and fills in the gaps in that lack of understanding

    Can you please do a video on calculation. A lot of sub 1500 Elo players really don't know how to calculate properly. Can you show us your technique. I tend to jump all over the place.
    I know you did one before but could you do one showing exactly what you do and how to stop messy calculation.

    • @LionChess
      @LionChess  Рік тому

      Messy calculation is fixed by the previous one which shows the most important technique of "Most Forcing First!" which talks about the ORDER of calculation so that you don't go all over the place. Checks, then captures, then threats. I'd love for you to watch that one again and post a comment there if something is unclear!
      I'll do one more calculation video on "Making conclusions correctly", but I'm not sure that's what you're looking for

      Hmmm.. Everything seems to be okay on my end, I'm not sure what the problem could be..
      Is anyone else having this problem?
