I'm a huge fan and have seen her perform in my hometown of Toronto, Canada several times, and just happen to also work with elder men who are homeless. Charlie's words are powerful. Melody much love and respect for this song, video and loving people who many ignore.

It's a worthy pursuit, Ms. Gardot has going here. I wish younger children could know her and grow up with such excellent role models. That's how 'it gonna come,' we'll need unity and many great leaders and thinkers who aren't caught up in shallow pursuits. I am sad that works like this aren't promoted more.

What a credible, worthy pursuit, Melody. Making this video, rather than doing the whole 'celeb' thing, like wanting to be known for falling drunk out of a club at 4am or appearing in the latest gossip magazines.
baward Well, she never was like that so it should not be a shock that she went in this direction. I knew this album would be good but the more I listen to it, i'm so impressed at how good it is. For me, it's definitely the best album of this year so far.

This album is high quality I agree, but I was looking for songs having the sound in parallel with the sound of "so we meet again my heartache" or "your heart is as black as night".
***** Well then you should not be disapointed. "Bad news" definitely has that "heart is as black" sound to it. It's one of my faves on the album. Also i happen to think that "No man's prize", "If ever i recall", "Once I was loved" and "Burying my troubles" have the similar sound to "So we meet again".
Im personally glad that is sounds like the old stuff but it's still lots of new stuff on it. I'm floored by the whole thing.

he said exactly what I've been saying for the longest. "we can put a man on the moon but can't solve homelessness?" and we can it's just that we (as a collective world) choose not to. as long as people view the homeless as lazy or deserving of their fate for whatever reason and ultimately sub-human, we'll never fix it but it doesn't mean we CAN'T fix it. some will say it's impossible to fix homeless but we've said the same about technology or going to the moon. look at what man has created...planes, computers, advances in medicine. people would've called all that impossible too once upon a time. the true thing holding us back is our evil as a people.
I've seen this dark side while I lived in GA and FL - babies growing up around filth, people having no hope... - "it" that is gonna come that we need is more than any human government can provive, though.
Find the good in it all.
