Chef Nick's journey began unexpectedly when he was invited to do a short segment while working as a deli director at a grocery store. What started as a 15-minute guest appearance grew into a regular feature, and eventually evolved into a weekly show focused on the food industry in Northwest Indiana. Drawing from 21 years of experience in grocery stores, Nick enjoys educating people on food, offering tips on saving time, money, and effort in the kitchen.
Having grown up in Northwest Indiana, Nick feels strongly about showcasing the local food culture, which often gets overshadowed by nearby Chicago’s media coverage. He believes Northwest Indiana has its own unique flavors.
Through his show, Chef Nick is dedicated to celebrating the distinct tastes and food producers in the region, from farmers to breweries, and highlighting what makes Northwest Indiana's culinary scene special, independent of Chicago's influence.
